I can confirm 100% what you say, we Italians are raised with some strict rules about presenting ourselves at our best. We sometimes become unaware about these rules while growing up.. it's like speaking your native language! You may not know why you say THIS but you feel it's right : ) same thing about style, we are used to put some little effort while getting dressed. About not showing everything off, Sophia Loren said: sex-appeal is 50% what you have and 50% what the others THINK you have 😉

i would call myself alternative(not exactly goth or punk but like funky with a bit of hippie) i’m in love with italy but i always worry they will reject my style when i move there, thoughts? lol i put a lot of thought into my fashion it’s not like i don’t care what I wear. it’s just that i’m very unique so i’ll wear whatever i’m feeling that day lol

There are plenty of people who dress alternative here in Italy! Funky hippie vibes are something I see regularly, especially in bigger cities. It might make you stand out a bit more but you definitely won’t be judged 😘😘
