I've been to a lot of NASCAR races at Daytona and Talladega and this crowd Saturday night was the loudest and most sustained event is ever been to. Don't think ears stopped ringing until 0230. Was an unforgettable experience.
As a life long PSU fan, former student and was at the original white out game. That is the most support I've ever seen from the opposing fanbase. There was orange everywhere.
That was a great game between two good teams. I sat by some Auburn fans and had lunch with a couple. They were very nice, and they also traveled well. I hope they enjoyed their trip. The Whiteout is definitely one of those things every college football fan should experience.
UCLA diehard but I've always liked Penn St and Florida as my out of state/conference blue blood schools that I support. I wish the rose bowl would get half this hyped. SO epic.

A White Out is by far the best atmosphere in college football and to be honest any other sport!!! Even if you are not a Penn State fan, my family is Notre dame fans, and they respect our Nittany Lions and I took my brother to a White Out, because it was on his bucket list, and he said I can't even hear you talking to me and sit right next to me!!! Lol Herbstreit says it is by far the best atmosphere and Chris Fowler says the same!!!! WE ARE
Okay. So the wife and I (who are from Texas yawl) will be attending our first Penn game vs Mich Wolverines. We weed some advise for game day - any open tailgating for visitors? Before or after traditions? Any other advice? Also, we don’t know anyone, but are young and like to have fun. I want to compare several other games/stadiums we have been to - we are excited. Hopefully, it will be a whiteout.
Best advice is to arrive early as possible; PSU is in the middle of nowhere and the road network gets jammed up every gameday. Take a walk around town, State College is a great place. GET CREAMERY ICE CREAM!!!!! Remember, we taught Ben and Jerry to make it ;)

They do it when they're going to be on ABC Saturday Night Football a night game. It really does look cool watching it on TV, we be like, Damn how come we can't do this?
I'm glad for PSU and their successful White Out games. But pisses me off that there's always those tards that where blue hats and shirts and try to ruin a total white out. They shouldn't be allowed in the stadium, not even the opposing team. Not in white shirt, hat and white pompom in your hand, no entry. I'm not even a PSU fan, I'm a Hurricane. But really those people bother me, I don't know why. lol

Gator fan here. Never been to a penn state game but the swamp never disappoints. The crowd noise for florida/auburn game in 2019 is epic.
