This is the first time I have seen this film since it came out in November 1971. Back then as a teenager I did not feel the full impact. Now as an aging adult, especially with a wife from East Germany, it truly hits on a new level. With what we see taking place in 2023 all believers must prepare to be faithful as never before. Be brave in Christ our Savior.
I really recommend the book, it is even more powerful than the film. It made me wish that I had known the Ten Booms, yet I felt that I knew them through the book. It is beautifully written & God must have put His Hand in it.

Took a Christian girlfriend to see this film in theatre in October of 1975 while still in high school; we held hands all through the film; the following year, 1976, in October the late Rev Billy Graham presented a revival, I was an usher and my girlfriend sang in Cliff Barrows choir. So thankful her and I are saved through the Lord Jesus Christ for all eternity
Corries story is awesome, she touched the world and was an example to all of us. It's especially relevant now bc we are watching the evil rise again as it did in WW2.

I met Corrie in the early to mid 70’s ,I was a young boy at Arlington Foursquare Church in Riverside,California. She came to give testimony of Gods love. I’ll never forget her. What an amazing woman. Gods love shines bright.

Then I checked in the exhaustive concordance (NIV) and looked up all the "yeast" and "leaven" references in the Bible. I STILL have no idea what you are talking about! It reminds me of the story in Matthew where Jesus warns to "beware the yeast of the Pharisees" and His disciples think he is actually talking about bread. I read Ten Boom's story several times when I was a new believer. Twenty-one years later, I stumbled upon the movie, and it still overwhelms me. It's such a powerful testament to God's glorious grace!

That line's stuck with me ever since I read the book, and it always will be with me. I didn't know there was a film of The Hiding Place, and I didn't know it was on here either! It was an amazing book, an amazing story. Another thing that will always stay with me is that when Corrie's Father was buying a train ticket to go somewhere, I think he was literally doing that, and Corrie asked him something about having the strength to do something, it's years since I read the book, and I can't remember all the details of it, but Corrie's Father said to her that like when he'll give her the ticket just before she gets on the train, God will give us the strength to do something just at the time when we need it. That's very powerful, and it will always stay with me. The whole book's incredibly powerful, and it had a tremendous impact on me. I'll watch this film sometime. I had no idea it was on TH-cam. I was looking for something else, and I'm pleased I saw it.

I had a difficult time with forgiveness too. It took a long time forcing myself to call out the names of those I wanted to forgive me and saying I forgave them and asking their forgiveness before I actually started meaning it. Start with saying the words and eventually you supernaturally begin to actually mean it.
I have watched this movie so many times. It gives me Courage. To know that Corrie Ten Boom did suffer so much and was a witness to so much evil. That she was even able to continue Trusting and Loving the Lord despite what was hard to reconcile with a Loving God, gives me Hope. Even so come quickly Lord Jesus.

This is one movie I have watched a dozen times starting in 1975 and I have read the book 3 times. I have visited the JEWELRY shop of the TEN BOOM family in Holland because from this story we never stop learning about "how to love," "how to forgive," "how to endure" and much more. It is a message with a very deep meaning.

So then why do so many seek to change the law of God. He promised to by His Spirit to enable us to have this law in our hearts and minds. Then gave this as an inheritance, after His resurrection let's rewrite the inheritance to keep a spurious Sabbath. Think to change times and laws Daniel tells us. My dad was in WWII, not in battle, but in training in electronics. He was stationed in southern Italy, Corsica, and 2 other islands, and northern Africa. When he came back to the states, they put him near a base, I think in Arizona. He was not put in the base itself but was told to look at a small plane just by the fence and told to study it very carefully. He was also told that he would have a group of men to train on a top secret basis. He did just that, in electronics. To make a long story short, it ended up being the crew of the Enola Gay that dropped the bomb on Hiroshima!! Dad never came out of that right. He had a mental breakdown about 8-9 years later and blamed himself for the deaths of millions of people. I told him he saved or helped save the lives of millions. He was a wonderful---the best, but Mom said he NOT the same. WAR IS HELL!! To me, dad was an unsung hero!! May we ALL honor others like DAD!!!!!😂😍😇❤🩹🤍💙💯👍🙏🙏🙏🗽🗽🗽🗽🗽🌠🌠🌟⭐🔥🔥🔥🎆🎉🛐✝
Thank you so much for your very touching and emotional story of your dear Dad. Yes, war is hell. My father-in-law served during the second World war for the British armed forces. He was a Captain; I remember I would often ask him questions about the war and for the most part he would answer them. However, one day my little daughter asked him if he had ever killed anybody. He went completely silent, and his eyes glazed over, he put his head down, then stood up gently and excused himself from the table. I couldn't help but wonder what he had seen, what he had commanded, and what he had done. I never asked any more questions about the war ever again.
I totally identified with your Dad and the effect of the war on him. I am weeping as I write this, because like your own dear father, my father-in-law was a wonderful man too, and yes, they were heroes. Every fibre in their being battled against everything they experienced, everything they had to do, and everything they had to be part of . I don't believe you even have to be a Christian to be devastated mentally emotionally and psychologically by war.
All we can do is thank the Lord for brave and wonderful men like that who put themselves in harm's way to defend our freedoms, and frequently at a very high cost. Your Dad was one such man. Now I need a box of Kleenex tissues.

Such a heavy burden, I pray for his soul, we need Jesus to cast our burdens on. The world was not prepared for that level of destruction able to be wrought by so few people. No one guy should blame himself like that when he didn't even know.
May God protect us all from false guilt and may war heros like your father receive the honor they deserve. Not only did you father save millions but billions; and trillions eventually because not only did he save the people alive then, but their children and their children's children and their children's children's children.
My grandfathers were both in the Navy. One was in the Pacific somewhere on a ship when Pearl Harbor was hit, the other was actually on Pearl Harbor when it was attacked… I wish one would have been there to free everyone

Rubbish. I loved God followed him praised him he drove me away because I was not predestined. Not able to afford basic needs church abandoned me left me socially isolated didn't help. Knowing that they were driving me to suicidal aims. I'm just looking for a way to die a quick death but God doesn't even allow that. Churches only help those who are predestined otherwise they just let you suffer. I'm living proof of God's hate. He won't even pet me succeed to die but keeps me here to suffer. Like woman said in movie he's sadistic if you are not a chosen one.

It is good to be reminded, in these troublesome and dark days, of the power of love and forgiveness. I think many of us can relate to Corrie's hurt, confusion and anger. It is easy to reel in hate; it is difficult to free forgiveness once it has been snagged on that dark hook of despair. At the end of the days, how many of us can say that we have endured sufferings as bad as theirs, and even fewer of us can say that we were as courageous and faithful.
Interestingly - the message I took from The Hiding Place is that of forgiveness, and the need to love even those who wrong us.
The last scene of the book is one of the most powerful I have ever read. Corrie goes to Germany to teach the story of God’s love and forgiveness. There she encounters one of the guards from Ravensbruck. He asks for her forgiveness. At first she feels she cannot do it, but prays. Then warmth, love and forgiveness flow through her to him.
This is what I'm longing to watch "The Hiding Place", thanks for it can be watched in this ministry. There is God in the midst of chaos and sufferings. God is alive.

Such a powful and inspiring story! To have the faith, courage, and forgiving, loving heart that the Ten Boom's had. That only comes from accepting Jesus as your Savior and asking Him to take the hate and vengefulness out of us and replace it with His love and forgiveness. That is something I'm actively praying for and I know He will answer me and help me. Thank You Jesus! Hallelujah!

Fantastic movie. I never knew about Corrie until I started attending a Baptist Church in our county a few years ago. What a brave God-fearing woman. May we all have that courage there's more darkness coming with so much corruption in all our world Governments. [Matthew 24] I pray everyone reading this has given their hearts to Jesus Christ and are trusting in HIs blood to save them. The time is now. This Age of Grace is drawing to a close. Don't get left behind. The Tribulation (7 years) will be even worse than what has happened in the past. God bless.

I was able to visit the Ten Boom clock shop/home. This brings back memories for me as I toured the clock shop/home. The shop is now some other business. The hiding space where the Jews hid is really small...standing room only. What an honor to have visited it.
I've been there 2 times and saw the hiding place.
I went into that place too when I was in year 7.
"Corrie: Papa, what's it like to die?

I am "young" enough to keenly remember the series "Holocaust" on TV in the late 70s. This had a profound impact on my life. Then, when I became a follower of Jesus, "The Hiding Place" had an even more profound impact on my life. I eventually became a high school teacher of history and social studies and swore that I would not neglect teaching the history of the Shoah as I taught the other important history, too. I love each and every one of my students and teach them the full orb of US and World history. I thank God for this movie and I continue to serve Him.
One of the best movies I have ever seen! Very true to the book and to research that has since been discovered. You can still go to the ten Boom house, now a museum, in Haarlem. I’ve been there and I highly recommend it. I watched this again bc of all the evil
In the world- sometimes I get distressed. I needed to hear again how the ten Booms made it through, the Scriptures they quoted, their faith- with the increase of anti- Semitism and persecution of Christians increasing around the world- I need God’s strength! I pray for my children to have strength to face whatever tomorrow brings!
I love how everyone worked together with various ideas such as clock frames for hiding the bricks and milk as paint so that building the hiding place would be very discreet. May the souls of these good people rest in peace.

When I accepted Christ 49 yrs. Ago I happened upon the Book "The Hiding Place" It so impacted me so much and little did I know God was preparing back then for loss of Home, Husband, Children by False accusation.
I grabbed that book and God opened up deep lessons I only saw while I was suffering and clinging to Him!

My dad was in that war,never would talk about it much. And now it seems like we might be returning to time’s like then again. All of those were no doubt the greatest generations of all time . I miss my dad every day.

I cried watching this movie it felt so real and it had me researching why it took place ( the Holocaust ) I feel the Lord is preparing us in our time for the coming persecution of Christians in America and in other Christian countries. I pray we look to The Lord and write his words from the Gospel on our hearts and in our minds. We must have great faith and be strong even if we lose our life for his sake , we will be with him forever. 🙏✝️❤️

A timely reminder in these troubled times. I read the story of Corrie ten Boom as a young girl; and I’ve never forgotten her reminder: that if we give ourselves genuinely to the lord, our reward is in heaven. Nothing we experience on earth compares to what our saviour did for us.
