That is one way I have never seen a strap thrown before. Not much more mechanical advantage than just throwing it. And it actually looks like an elbow injury waiting to happen. 🤔 🤷♂️. If it works, it works.

Do y'all in the USA always use straps to secure a sea container or are twist locks also used?
Twist locks are the most common when hauled on a container chassis but on a flatbed we use straps and sometimes also chains for front/rear blocking.
