This song really is a masterpiece.
It really is, the lyrics are masterful.
"... the soothing light at the end of your tunnel... is just a freight train coming your way..."
Doesn't get any more dreadful than that.
It really isn't. It is not bad, but almost anything from the first 4 albums is better.
@@halidox Yes the first 4 albums are better. Now imagine for a second that they didn't exist... No Leaf Clover is still better than most new stuff on the radio.
My point is, the best way to enjoy Metallica songs is not to compare it to other Metallica songs, it's to compare it to the other brands. Metallica overall usually satisfies above others.
@Fister_of_Muppets excellent point and well made, hate the 'old' Metallica comparisons all the time, like we all live in our 20's forever.. ffs 🤦♂️
@@halidoxffs again with this sh^t grow up......
This song feels right each time. ❤
Gives me a chub.
@@Fister_of_Muppets Gives me a rager
Yup👌🏻🤘🏻
There is never a wrong moment to hear No Leaf Clover. ❤🤘
@@Moranimal23 gives me a clue
Robert's bass sounds exceptionally good in this one
It certainly does 🤘
Yeah you can actually hear the bass and it’s great
Yes. Great manele music.
Да,только неправильно. Куча ошибок
Yeah, tasty. Rob and Lars have formed a solid backbone. Great stuff.
I’m only 13 and this has to be one of my favorite metallica songs ever and the fact that this was a live song makes it 10x better! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Que ouças por muitos anos. 🤘
It is a great song and was written to be played with an orchestra
Nice stuff man GOD Bless You✝️✝️
technically it was only recorded live
Hell yeah! My favorite song after the initial 4 classic albums. Powerful ass song.
This European Tour was a huge success! Metallica are really playing at their best! 🤘
@@pyhajesse7314Yes the European tour is over, they are done with Europe for now as far as I’m aware.
8 or 10 shows from April to June?
@@pyhajesse7314 over till this time in 2024 unless you know different
@@richardgrossguth8069Metallica did 10 shows from April to June.
@@rtgredtruck3059 not a whole lot...
I’ve had the frankly insane pleasure of having this masterpiece played at two shows, in Trondheim in 2019 and again last week in Gothenburg 🤘🏻🤘🏻😁😁😁
Same, but Gothenburg last week and in Stockholm 2007!
U lucky ;)👌🤟
Scooby snack?
frankly isane..;-)
One of the Metallica’s underrated song, so great. Complex and beautiful.
low effort comment
No Leaf Clover is probably one of Metallica's most famous song of the late 90's/early 2000's, they've played it dozens of time these 24 last years (I saw Metallica 8 times since 2003, and they've played it during 2 of these concerts). Minus Human is the underrated song of this era... (only played 3 times after the S&M original concert, and never after 1999)
@@failtolawl there's always someone with the "underrated" comment after every song. Usually from a low effort fan.
Y🤟e❤️S
That’s quite a deep cut coming from a compilation album. One of their best sing from the Load reload era (yes I know it’s not from either album) probably one of these songs that were cut from reload because they had only so many songs
I imagine how appreciative the audience must be.
Gothenburg is not just any random city, when it comes about the history of metal.
It was sadly pretty dead. I stood and headbanged like a maniac during Ktulu and people looked at me like I was a disturber of the peace or some shit.
@@settratheimperishable4093 i was so disapointed when everyone was sat down during many songs, which meant i had to sit down to avoid being the odd one out, or be in the way of the person sat behind me.
@@settratheimperishable4093 ur a real one, Im a stage 4 swede so I just stood there but wished i could just rock out without caring
OMFG YES! I was there, didn't expecting to hear my 2nd favourite Metallica song. I was in tears by the end of this.
😂🤘🥂🍾🇵🇹
What is your favourite 😮

@@kasperrieberg3495and for you to i know that ,
@@metalworld72
No you don’t, but good joke
Agree !
What is the best band that died?
This has to be be, I feel, one of Metallica's most underrated songs. The lyrics here have to be some of their best, and the instrumentation is immensely fun in its own right.
I disagree, because it’s very much loved along with the other 90s stuff. The most underrated Metallica song in my opinion is Minus Human, they even completely ignored the fact that they wrote it when they did S&M2 a couple of years ago. 😀 Imagine hearing this banger live for the first time in 20 something years.
@@awgvYes.
It isn't underated actually!
Very nice song
Am I the only one who was singing the orchestra parts in my head?
@@awgv Played only 3 times since S&M was out, and never after 1999. It would just be insane if they'd perform that song again during this tour. No Leaf Clovers has been played live +100 times so far (I've heard it twice live while seeing Metallica 8 times since 2003)
This performance just left me speechless. Chapeau
Sweet! Love that this song got played. Would love to see -Human make a return one day.
Me too! -Human is incredible.
@@rtgredtruck3059it’s very underrated! I don’t know if they’ve ever played it outside of S&M.
@Ruleof2Review no they haven't, unfortunately :/ and I don't understand why tbh
Nothing beats their original during S&M Live. It was, in fact, my very first introduction to Metallica without actually knowing anything about them back in 2001.
The S&M version is a studio recording. The vocals are at the very least.
@@RejectedRecords1998: His vocals here were even better than those, and those are my template for singing that song. He stayed in head voice for the high notes (which I wish he would have done more of - I don't like it, as much, when he goes down the the D, then to the Eb, then the Gb; he does this on the fifth repeat). I think he sounds better than he ever has, and it started with "Wherever I May Roam" in front of Griffith Observatory.
@@RejectedRecords1998 No way? Where did you get that information from? Have I been duped all this time?
@@6oLsh0i6o0z3ost of the first S&M album was rerecorded in the studio afterwards...you can easily search for the live audio on yt (the audio that should not be, or smth like that)
Its normal for bands to re-record a lot of the live album, always was weird to me but it's the case.
Don't wanna call you out for not being there xD
s&m was the best ever
I truly believe Metallica has never been better live than they are now. I'm still trying to get my brain wrapped around it. 🤘🤘🤘
the worse their new album is,😜 the better they sound on stage😉 !
They just keep getting better!
@@DavidMayeur72 seasons is their best album since the 90s
@@kadentrantham8516 Nah...
True legends!!! They've been touring around the world for decades but they remain humble, attached to their audience and put heart and soul in every single performance! ❤
A true force of nature. Long Live Metallica. Listen up people.
Love that song, love Matallica, and love Sweden!! Rock on from the US!!
Lyrics and James vocals make this song a top 10 for me. S&M Version is a flippin masterpiece
This version is 10 times better though. They sound better live at the moment than they do in most of the albums, but that's my personal taste
Thank you metallica for posting so many love videos with such excellent quality and shots.
This is one of those songs that I have to replay the bit after the intro a few times before I can keep going. And I've gotta say, James is looking really well this tour.
Best Metallica song!! This song got me through some dark times in my life. Will always hold a special place in my heart
Rob and Lars locked in that groove! Band sounds flawless
Gave me chills when it started !I've been LOVING all these live clips !!!Greatest metal band ever .🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
The live version of this song is indeed astounding!
One of my top 10 favorite Metallica songs of all time! The orchestral elements complementing the huge sound of the drums and guitar, James' vocals, and the breakdown...I was FLOODED the first time I heard it many years ago and it still gives me a surge of energy anytime I hear it!

..I had already met my freight train Thursday night, and I was in a very fragile state that weekend. This song was performed with so much intensity that I burst into tears during the show. Thank you for posting this one, Metallica ❤️🖤❤️
Hope you're doing OK let the 🤘🏻🤘🏻 give you strength
@michaelhucks2313 Thank you, I did. If it wasn't for the two shows that weekend, I would probably not be here today. I'm not okay, yet, but I will be.
@@lilli63 All power to you .... I'm so glad Metal is a thing.
@michaelhucks2313 Metal in general, yes, but Metallica in particular. Somehow, they have always been there to save me. I owe them my life. ❤️🖤❤️
@lilli63 Yeah, for sure, James just has a way of connecting with an audience/ people in general. He's one of the best front men ever for that reason
This song gives me so many emotions, can't explain it...a true masterpiece
simple but effective, that's why it's a masterpiece ! 🤘
So pleasantly surprised to hear this song at Ullevi. Such an incredible and powerful piece!
Cool to see and hear that so many people know the lyrics to this obscure song. Sweden is one of the world's capitals of Metal.
Alot of great Metal bands in Sweden. Of course Yngwie paved the way
I remember they played this intro and I thought it was just like a little skit or whatever, and then James started playing the picking part. So glad yall got to hear this S&M masterpiece, I first heard it in 2018 when they came to Minneapolis, Minnesota 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Great Song Last Time I saw these guys in Vancouver Canada they played No Leaf Clover I Disappear and Turn The Page I went ballistic really caught me by surprise.Metallica truly has a special place in my heart. I owe my life to them.

Is there a more metal-sounding city than "Gothenburg?" 🤘🏻
This song is such heaven and a masterpiece. The vocals and everything sounds like it was straight from S&M 2 I love it.
"Then it comes to be that soothing light at the end of your tunnel... It's just a freight train coming your way! Amazing lyrics!!🔥🔥🤘🤘
A song I did not expect them to play live here
Some of these songs are almost forgotten because of how they don’t get played a lot so it’s great that they are playing them 👍
This is one of my favourite Metallica song. So underrated
Such an under rated Metallica song! James’ vocals are sounding great here

@@morbidmanmusic Please enlighten us.
My father and I saw them play this song live in Arlington. We each had a few mock setlists before the shows of what we thought they would play. Neither of us even considered that they could play this. It's probably collectively our favorite Metallica song.
Needless to say, we were pretty fucken hyped.
Robert, thank you for your bass on all shows!
James está pegando fogo nessa turnê.
Robs bass these two nights in Gothenburg is something i will never ever forget. Awesome playing

And this concludes the M72 European Tour song/video postings. Thank you Metallica for uploading these 20 songs since the tour began; I've looked forward to each new live performance and have enjoyed them all tremendously. Kick ass! I can’t wait to see them in November! I’ve lost count how many times that I’ve seen them and it never gets old!
Nothing but respect for the performances on this Tour. You can clearly hear and see the effort they‘ve been putting into those shows. Proud to be a member of the Metallica family!

I love that I've been a Metallica fan since 1983, and I have fellow Metallica fans who are in there teens and twenties. I was a fan of Black Sabbath and have been since the 70s, and there's fans who are in their twenties. Music and Metal are timeless. 🤘
