I don’t sew, can’t sew, and never have been interested in sewing because I didn’t enjoy trying to learn how to sew when I was in junior high school. But I must admit that even with all the pattern pieces that you are using to make this project, I find it very interesting at 2:50 A.M. I can’t believe that I’m still watching this and reading comments from your viewers. Everyone is so excited about this. Some are excited to make it. Your crossbody bag turned out beautifully! I’m going to save this video for future reference should I decide to purchase a Brother sewing/embroidery machine. Yes, embroidery is something else that I have been wanting to learn. Your tutorial is very detailed so I believe I will definitely be able to follow along if I decide to give this a try. Best wishes to you and all of your subscribers! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you so much for such an incredible tutorial of the Crystal Crossbody ❤ I'm beyond honored that you included my pattern in the Sallie/Oklaroots monthly mystery club. Your bag is gorgeously perfect!
I would love to see you do a tutorial for the Neeyah Peekout Crossbody bt Craftsfully Made. Maybe even with the gusset add on. I've been dying to make that one but definitely would if you did a tute!!
I read all of the viewer comments, and every comment is very positive. It’s like I could hear the excitement of the viewers who are going to make this project. Best wishes! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
That bag is so precious! I’m making it for sure! One suggestion, I would angle the front label down in the lower left black square, making it centered (diamond angled) just for visual aesthetics. It’s just me. lol. Thank you for sharing !
I’ve been impatiently waiting for this tutorial, lol. Love the look of this bag and the fabric in the kit, woot! It’s going to be challenging to concentrate on work today. Will watch part of the video during lunch and the rest later. Thanks for doing the tutorial. 😊
They are, and now I’m really bummed because this is your final collaboration kit with Sallie Tomato. I’m definitely an OklaRoots fan girl, so keep your other awesome tutorials coming!
35:11 quick tip: Jo from Country Cow Designs does a quick basting stitch across the seams to keep them open, just 1/8” from the raw top edge. Just an alternate way to keep those top seams open. 👍😀
One thing I love about my semi-industrial machine is that the bobbin thread looks just as good as my top thread. I used the same Gutermann HD thread in the top and bottom so I could topstitch the quilted panel from the bottom to make sure all the seams were laying flat. That was just my hack because trying to keep the seams flat from the bottom was making my hand and fingers cramp. Just an idea if you trust your machine's bobbin thread and can use the same thread in the top and bobbin.
Hi Jess. Can you please tell me about those bag tags @1:18:31 and where do you get them? Are they available in the UK. Also, I'm a leatherman and not always familiar with fabric terms so please help an old guy out and speak a little slower. I can listen to you all day but miss half of it. I'm amazed at how good you are at all of this. Well done. Paul
I love this and all the bags for your club. Are sign ups open for the club? I clicked the link in the description, but I got a 404 error/page not found. Thanks.
I hope she sees your comment. You are getting the same error message as Janice Kusaba. I don’t sew, but I woke up to find her notification sitting there. So I checked it out because of her video cover photo. I find this tutorial very interesting and very detailed should I decide to start sewing. Best wishes.

@@kellyrowland7986 Up above in comments it says it was a business decision. I hate to see it go too, BUT... I haven't been able to keep up either... I still have so many left to make. LOL (fulltime job 50 miles away from home with NO options where I live to make the $ I make which allows me to have a surplus of projects, lol). I still love Oklaroots for sure and she takes me to my happy place. Love Sallie Tomato too. I'll just have to pay for patterns. It'll also help me "work of my stash". LOL
Well, just in case your intrested, the company I accidently found is called WazoodleFabrics and they have Eco-Pro-soft PUL. Great stuff. and inexpensive. They also have wholesale. I needed some but remembering you saying something about the MIL wt. I forgot what it was. Anyway, check this place out. By they way you are a Fantastic Teacher and you make me laugh. Your a great caring person. You have a wonderful loving family. I watch you a lot sometime just to see what your doing and what your making. You make my days, when I'm having a hard one. Dont stop what your doing, your very good at it. Blessing to you and your Family,
I was part of the sewing club for 2 months then it ended. I was going to make this bag however I put the "kit" into my bin and didnt realize that the actual pattern needed to be dowloaded and now i cant seem to access this pattern. I would rather not have to pay for this again. Any chance you can help please clarify how to retrieve this thank you t
QUESTION: Why didn’t you center the design when you were tracing out the cut? I also noticed it on your finished bag at the beginning of the video. Although your logo is centered, it plays tricks on your eyes because it pattern design isn’t centered. I’m sorry for being such a pain and asking such a question, but if I saw a bag in a department store with the pattern that’s not centered, I wouldn’t purchase it. Other people might not have a problem with it, but I definitely would.
If anyone else has a problem getting the pattern for this bag Sallie Tomato has a different coupon code to use then what are in the instructions, they were very quick to respond to my question!
Anyone know why the monthly club is being discontinued? Got my email this morning and was a bit shocked to see considering this video came out only 2 days ago.
Because it wasn't worth the money I quit the club after the wine bottle bag November of 22'. It was 3 scraps of fabric, I was all set. This bag is cute though. I look on the ST web site for the cork it was $48 bucks a yard! Um no thanks. Jess is making a great decision.
This has nothing to do with the video but can you please tell me how to cancel or pause my Wonderground Bee Box? It's not on my account to cancel and I tried emailing Wonderground and have not heard back. There is no number to contact them.

Spectacular! You are amazing-I think it may be out of my wheelhouse but ennjoyed watching you make this.
When I saw the pattern, I thought "ugh, piecing cork squares". So happy to see how this came together! Can't wait to make it.
My thoughts, exactly.

This is so precise and fascinating. Thanks so much
Can't wait to try this. Thank you Jessica for showing your mistakes, it really helps when I make my mistakes. 😊
You are so welcome! Mistakes happen (for some -me- more than others)
Love this bag too!
Love it - can’t wait til I can sew this together❤
Beautiful bag! I love that you did the detail to show it even though it would take so much more time than without the pattern!❤
I love love you, girl! You make these patterns sooo easy to make!!!!
I fell in love with this pattern a few months ago. Thank you for your tutorial. Excited to find time to make this bag.❤

Its an amazing bag. I need this!😁

I just found your TH-cam channel and I too am also obsessed with this bag! How can I get the kit please? 😊
I just got the pattern my January project
This is so gorgeous ❤ love it.
Is it possible to buy the kit only?? I'm not a member of the monthly club, a little expensive in shipping to Denmark 😮😊
Do you use a thicker thread / Needle?
Can I buy this kit, I am not in the club

Hey there! I ordered that from Zor Elle Fabrics. But I don't see it currently listed.

How do I join the Sallie tomato oklaroots bag club? When I click the link it says page not found.
I was reading all of the positive comments and you and Stephanie Peterson are getting the same error code.

I get the same message when I click the link. Even searching the Sallie Tomato site, I find the other months, just not this one yet.
I got an email that it’s being discontinued! 😩 Not sure why. 🥺

@@sleevesfour ditto what you said!
Where did you get the 1/2 in webbing? Thanks!
Jess , what is the mil on your waterproof canvas?
Hey there! I don't know the answer to that. But I get mine from Wonderground Fabrics.

You have probably answered this question before, but I haven’t seen it. What machine did you use to make this bag? What machines do you usually use?
I'm using a Bernina 770. I would consider it a semi-industrial. The Juki TL2010 is also a fantastic machine!
@@OklaRoots I have a Juli 2200. I think it would work as well. Thank you!

I received my sally Tomato monthly kit for this bag but the pattern for it belongs to someone else, how do we access it please?
Click on “more” and you’ll see a link called “grab the pattern”. That link will take you to the pattern.
I did that but the coupon code we were given is from Sallie Tomato and does not work for this Etsy store

I'm so glad you got this resolved!! Thank you for reporting back!
No problem ! They were just great!
I can’t find the pattern for this bag. Craftfully made shows a mens type of website. Please tell me how to find the pattern.
