Hungarian Fantasy by Mertz, with its improvisational nature, develops freely following the whims of musical ideas. It incorporates the style of "Csárdás," a Hungarian folk dance, and is colored with a splendor that is the essence of Romanticism, moving from a slow tempo to a rapid main part. 即興的な性格を持ち楽想の趣くままに自由な形式で展開するこの幻想曲は、チャルダッシュと呼ばれるハンガリーの民族舞踊の様式を取り入れており、ゆるやかなテンポから急速な主部へと移ってゆくロマン派の真髄とも呼べる華麗さに彩られています。豊かな表現力で演奏できればと思います。
