I don't have words to describe how grateful I am for this incredible job you've done! I'm Brazilian, and getting to know such places would be kind of impossible for me, but through this incredible footage I was able to get to know these places that are so important in the lives of my favorite authors! I'm out of words to thank! Thanks Thanks Thanks!
I am braziiian as well, and through Kate Bush -Wuthering Heights, song from 1978 this song and vídeo still rumbling.on my mind. How qonderful is the song, and how wonderful isnthe story a s well as this marvellous vídeo. Thank you for recording and the iníquo opportunity to enkjy cultura, literature.
I once read that, in order to keep working and sustaining his family, Patrick Bronte was courageous enough to have an eye operation performed without any anaesthetic, as it wasn't available at the time. Such an extraordinary family. Tragic that none of them survived for very long or had any children.
You have a lovely leisurely , narrative voice that doesn't irritate my ears and fry my brain like some 😂 and it makes your videos very interesting . Thank you !!
What a wonderful memory. In 1998, my mother, and I traveled from San Francisco to London. We took a side trip to York, which included a day-trip to Haworth. I well remember the home and the town.
A beautifully crafted tour and history lesson. I will never get to England but the tours I would want to take are the places that you take us to. At times the way you narrate I feel as though the family are there doing their daily activities. Thank you for this compassionate look into the Bronte's home. Take care =-)
Thank you so much. This was a treat. JANE EYRE has been my favorite classic novel since I was 9 years old. I've reread it many times and watched every filmed version I could access. Tonight, I was revisiting Wuthering Heights and came to see where the Brontes lived. Such talents in one family, but such unfortunate early deaths.....
This was unexpectedly very emotional, anyone who's suffered loss knows exactly wot its like. England also has so many wonderful places and so much history it makes me proud for this to be my country. I've been binge watching a lot of ur videos recently and its nice that channels like this exist for everyone who can't get out or are able to travel, I for one suffer from a health condition and these videos have been very soothing and fascinating, u do such a brilliant job! Keep flying the flag for our heritage
This was wonderful. You do such a beautiful job with these, showing the whole room, then showing the details, and have such a great voice for narrating. You have spoiled me for other ‘travel’ type channels! Lovely to see your subscriber numbers growing. Have to seen the movie about the family, I think it is called To Walk Alone. They built a temporary house to be the parsonage for filming, and the details in that compared to the real one are amazing. Such genius and such tragedy in the whole family. Thanks so much for sharing, looks like you had a very busy summer holiday!! 😊
I have only just watched it on the back of your comment. Incredible movie and the set design for the house was amazing. I am glad I watched it after the fact, so I could compare all the things we saw at the house. It really was spot on. It also brought home how sad it was for Branwell. 😰
@@MemorySeekers I am so glad you liked it. And it really was a sad story. Other than Patrick they all died so young. I liked the differences you see between the sisters, too. Sometimes we can have a picture in our mind of them all writing together and things being all rosy, but they lived in difficult circumstances and didn’t always agree.
I first read “Jane Eyre” when I was 10. It made such an impression on me that I soon read “Wuthering Heights”. The Brontë sisters, their family, friends, visits to other places and life experiences have fascinated me for years. While I’ve seen parts of the parsonage in Haworth in other films and videos your video is so much more expansive, and the narration added so much. Seeing the artifacts from the sisters and the rest of their family and friends’ lives (especially the apostles’ cupboard) was the best part of all. As I have ancestors who come from near Haworth I now plan to not only visit where they lived but to also go on pilgrimage to the Brontë parsonage and the surrounding moors. Thank you for bringing the sisters to life for me.😊
What are the chances! I came across Wuthering Heights after reading Jane Eyre and I was ten as well and then became fascinated by the Bronté family and how they wrote novels together sitting down. Amazing how their literary minds and the extensive imagination would leave such a lasting impression on people.
Oh my goodness! What a treat this was! So many treasures in that house. What a wonderful job you've done providing us with this intimate tour. Once again, thank you so much!
I was tormented in school when I was ten as Jane Eyre was in her school. I believe that the Bronte books may have helped me to survive..... If Jane could take it,... then so could I! It made me tear up to see this. I owed them so much.
Yet another great episode, thanks for all your excellent commentry. It really feels like we are walking along beside you as you go from room to room. Cheers Cheryl 🙂
I also watched the first part, hiking to the top of the hill. This is the perfect end for the trip. As I said your narrative is perfect and we can imagine the sisters living there. Beautiful video as usual. Cheers.
This was wonderfull to see.unfortunatly we never got to see the house on our holidays.there is just so much to see and do in Yorkshire we ran out of time .thank you for that and all the information.looking forward to the next one.
Yes indeed there is so much to see and do. We only had one week and probably could have gone on for another few with all the places we had on our list to start with. An excuse for another trips sometime!

I visited the Bronte Parsonage back in 1976 and your video highlighted some of the rooms and items that I had forgotten about. Thank you for this very informative video. Such a tragic deaths in the family but quite common in those days, unfortunately.
Hello Simon and Will. I really loved this video. This family has touched me more than I expected. I suppose it’s because I have two daughters of my own, 28 and 30 and I think how, in this day and age, life is really just beginning. The Bronte sisters accomplished so much in their short lives. Truly amazing. As for Bramwell I can’t help but feel sorry for him. It can’t have been easy being the only boy, he struggled and failed to find a career to suit him and I’m sure Patrick was the kind of man with expectations. The house itself was beautiful and it was great to see so many of the family’s belongings have been preserved. I loved the Fragments of a Dress display. For me it seemed to represent past and present, something once beautiful, complete and vibrant now hollow, empty, only a memory remains. This video was only 21:04 minutes and I’ve spent well over an hour here. So much to see and think about. I can’t thank you enough. These last two videos I will definitely be revisiting again. Take care of each other and have a great week. Btw I sometimes have trouble when leaving a comment. Incredible words Jill, lovely to hear your thoughts and passion for this subject. We have learnt so much we didn't know about their lives in making the videos and visiting the wonderful places. We are so lucky to still have them to explore. We do take it for granted these days ,the wonderful leaps in technology that every day keep us alive. The lives the Brontes lived back then was all to common, and when we head back to Haworth one last time later in the series we will touch on the mortality rate as it was shocking in that area.

Love your channel I live in Yorkshire and I've actually been to the Brontë parsonage some years ago now keep up the good work are you guys planning to go to the lake District any time I've been there as well to Beatrix potters cottage beautiful scenery like yorkshire
Hello, the Lake District is on the list for sure. Maybe next year not really planned that much ahead yet. Yes we would go to the Beatrix Potter cottage without doubt. One of many things we would like to do. So glad you are enjoying the series. We had such a wonderful time in Yorkshire and miss it terribly!
Thank you so much guys for a very informative video. The exhibition was just lovely to see with all the different artifacts. The one that caught my eye was the writing desk, to see everything so intact was just so wonderful. Looking forward to the next one guys❤
Loved this! I got to visit this in 2013 and I don't think the house had all of the exhibits that you have shown. I can't wait to see the Haworth village tour. Maybe I'll get a glance of the pub where I had lunch 😉.
As a trip to England to tour the house is rather pricey from America, I am soo grateful for this video! Everything about this was perfect! The music just right, your pleasant speaking voice and all the little details you pointed out. I can’t imagine cooking a dinner over a kitchen fireplace. A lot of work every day, especially without running water. We often view the period and their lives as romantic but it was actually far from it. So much work just to live and way too much tragedy. I’m glad the sisters were able to free themselves by using their vivid imaginations as an escape. Their brother coped otherwise…another tragedy. Well, long-winded but just wanted to say hello & give thanks. 4 well deserved stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️😊
Thank you for your detailed filming and narration. It's wonderful to see so many items have been returned to the home and I love the way they are displayed. I have studied historical costuming as a hobby, and am aware how few intact garments of this period still exist. Many people re-used fabric when styles changed, or cut up garments to make children's clothing, because they couldn't afford to buy new. It was good to see Charlotte enjoy some comforts paid for with proceeds from her writing. After learning about their lives, and reading their works, this was the final step in knowing what they were like. The hair jewelry really brought it home. I will likely watch this again, but also look forward to views of cheerful boats next week. Cheers!

Thank you for watching and subscribing. 😊
Very interesting! Thank you…
Glad you enjoyed it
Thank you so much guys for a very informative video. The exhibition was just lovely to see with all the different artifacts. The one that caught my eye was the writing desk, to see everything so intact was just so wonderful. Looking forward to the next one guys❤
The society do a wonderful job presenting it all. It amazing that so much is still around. Glad you liked it.
Truly, this was a feast for the mind and eyes...Thank you for sharing!!!
Our pleasure. So glad you enjoyed it.
Very informative video, thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Loved this experience.
Loved this! I got to visit this in 2013 and I don't think the house had all of the exhibits that you have shown. I can't wait to see the Haworth village tour. Maybe I'll get a glance of the pub where I had lunch 😉.
Yes we will be back in a few weeks for one last look around town. Which pub was it?
Your videos keep getting better and better exponentially!
Thank you so much!
Phew, that was a melancholy tour. What a brilliant family they were though.
I remember going to the Parsonage in the early 50s, a grammar school trip. It was awful. Very cold, I remember - no central heating
Its improved since then. There are radiators in the rooms.
Thank you for the lovely comment, so glad you enjoyed the tour 😊
Loving this series. Loved this episode and watched it several times.
So glad you like our Yorkshire adventures, its great replaying them back to you via the channel but as I edit them I want to go back! Loved it there.
Thank you for the video 👍
Our pleasure.
Brilliant indepth video... inspiring me to go back 😊
Thank you so much!
Thank you so much guys for the thrill you are giving me with your informative and entertaining videos.
You are welcome, thank you for watching and commenting.
Cheers!
A second visit to this video. Love the tour and camera quality excellent. A lovely reminder of a trip I made there. Thank you.
So pleased you wanted to watch it again!
The Brontë family definitely had a beautiful home
It is probably in better condition now that it was back then. Certainly bigger and better than there first home in Thornton.

Thank you so much for making this wonderful video. I enjoyed it immensely, especially seeing all the artefacts and possessions of the Brontes. The narrative and the closeups of everything were much appreciated. From Australia.
