During sleep the back light is off. You manage that in your settings or choos Do not disturb.

The good thing about the plastic on the backside is that it does not give the user rashes. The Polar Vantage V2 (aluminium) was just terrible on my wrist. The Polar Grit X pro is the best watch i have ever had in this regsrd👍

Yes plasic is usually easier on skin than most metal. I have the same kind of problem that you have. But with titanium I always been super fine.

Are you sure you can't schedule do not disturb? I find it quite weird, because I have a cheaper Vantage M2 and even that watch has a schedule for DND, it's on settings, general settings, right bellow the screen brightness setting.
Also when a notification comes you can flick your wrist and the notification will open automatically. That again is from my current watch, but honestly I wouldn't think that's not the case in this watch.
Lastly, I think it's both a matter of getting used to it and the fact that Polar button configuration is kinda reversed compared to Garmin, so if you come from that camp that will even complicate things further because of the muscle memory. In my case I've never used a Garmin watch before, I've been using this one for a bit more than a year now and I can select some options without actually looking at the watch, I find it intuitive because it was the first button setup I used and as any other, you get used to it over time.

About the DND maybe it's something that they will or maybe already fixed with an update, but I can garantee that it was not available when I tested it. It was even confirm by their support service.
For the button, yea for sure I could get use to it.
But I'm not with garmin since long ago.
      I used Suunto since 2013.
I was used to their button that is a bit like Polar.
I did get used to Garmin configuration in a day, and now when I go back to Suunto, I'm all messed up.
There is really something more intuitive with the garmin button configuration.
You set you finger on the watch and you press the button instead of moving them everywhere.
Your thumb can navigate up ans down without moving and your index
      do the selection.

@@PascalMarquisUnbox yeah, I cannot guarantee 100% the Grit X Pro will have such an option, but being a more expensive watch than mine and newer with more firmware updates, I would find it weird at least, maybe the firmware updates is the key; I know they added notifications during workouts in a firmware update, maybe they added the option for DND as well, but now has three options (not sure the exact English text, as my watch is in Spanish): enabled, disabled, and activity hours, which you can pick.
About the button configuration yes, I would need to try a Garmin watch as a fair comparison, but the way you describe it probably is easier to get used to, as you need to move your fingers more in the Polar setup, which I did just now after reading your comment haha 😅 since I had not used any other brand it was not hard for my brain to memorize it, but I can see the problem once you have been trying all of them for a while.

Isn't it too laggy compare to coros apex pro user interface

Unfortunately, I didn't test the Apex Pro yet. I receive it and it's on my list to test but I did not have the time to do it yet.
