Another great video! Yes, it would be super cool to see you do a full no power test where you shut off the power to the entire house. Looking forward to your next video.
As always, great video! Can you do the attic heat detector in the house and the tower pull station or something in the generator building for the next video?
Love your monthly testing, reminds me to test my "commercial" system in my house as well ! Regarding the emergency light testing, do you let them run for a few hours to test the internal batteries ? Here in the UK, we have to do 10min, 1Hr and 3Hr duration testing on them. Its interesting to see how the regulations vary from country to country. Keep the great work, its much appreciated.
@@nics-systems-electricI don’t know who owns your house but what are you going to do when either you decide to sell it or whoever owns it are you going to take all of the system out and just put in some smoke detectors
@@michaelh12231 it's been in the family since it was built it's not getting sold houses are worth on average 1.2 million here so I won't be going anywhere anytime soon and it's silly to get rid of a house that is paid off
September testing in case you come back to this video in a month: House: Master bedroom smoke (because I never seen a test on that before). Garage: Tower pull (Haven't seen that in awhile). Or what I thought would be funny, to have your German Shepherd pull a pull station lol.
we used to have run around and look at each one like you do until we got our new simplex 4007 system with the new true alert horn strobes now we just check the panel if we have no alerts for devices failing in the log we can call it a day but once a year we do go around and check all devices by sight just to be sure
Nice video! For the next test, do the smoke in that storage room with access control in the shed. How come the chime is no longer on whoop? Great video nonetheless
interesting here if we cover our panels like you have we get a fine and a code write up only because i have seen them so well covered up you cant find them unless you know were to look are you allowed to cover your panels were you live?
These monthly test vids are great. I always watch them!

"Nic's systems and electric just posted a new video "
Me : Lets go watch it 🔥😍, Nice monthly test Nic 😊
Nice! This is one of my favourite videos! :)
Awesome. Thanks for doing the no power test request
great video! dont know how you do it but you always post anytime i have time to past. also ayla scared the hell out of me at 10:11 when she barked
Woah! New testing video! Must watch…
I would like to request stairwell smoke for the house and the heat detector in the generator building for september test. Anyway love the vids!
10:34 I love how he kept hitting the ack and silence buttons repeatedly in attempt to silence the system as quickly as possible
But unfortunately it was already too late as bro started tweakin
Lol
Yes ❤ I love your channel!
I really love you videos your the best
hi im pretty new also this is my bday month! i love your videos too.
best guy in TH-cam and smartest
As always, great video! Can you do the attic heat detector in the house and the tower pull station or something in the generator building for the next video?
9:51 what’s with that “ *DUNK* “sound?
pretty sure it’s just the alarm while it’s being reset
YES turn of the power to the full house and do the fire alarm.
Awesome! 😎
Nice video bud ❤❤❤❤, also i heard about the mess up on the generator and you had no power in the garage, I'm so sorry buddy😢😢😢😢.
Don't worry it's all good not a big deal
@@nics-systems-electric thanks buddy.

love it!
Hey Nic, Have you thought about installing carbon monoxide detectors in the house with colored strobes like you did with the garage system
There aren't any installed in the house as there is no risk of carbon monoxide
@@nics-systems-electric Makes Sense
@@nics-systems-electric I know you have no real risk but at least here CO alarms would be needed because of the attached garage.
@@eDoc2020 not required no vehicles in there
In next months test, you should do the hallway level two smoke in the house and for the garage. You should do the main entrance Paul station.
September testing in case you come back to this video in a month:
House: Master bedroom smoke (because I never seen a test on that before).
Garage: Tower pull (Haven't seen that in awhile).

I think you should do a full house black out, it would be an interesting video.
you should put a fire strobe inside the panel room
nice system test
Next month’s testing can be
House: a heat detector in attic
Garage: storage room smoke detector
Nic am back
l like your content
this was right after my birthday august 2nd lol
For the next system test do the drill button on the panel for the house test
It's non-functional test of his systems
Nice video! For the next test, do the smoke in that storage room with access control in the shed. How come the chime is no longer on whoop? Great video nonetheless
The tone was changed a couple months ago to a different one
Nice!
Oh testing video?? Good video for my break for summer classes.
You should make a voice evac system for your house and/or garage
If someone wants to pay the thousands of dollars for it and rewire the whole thing
My grandpa will do it for you
I think a better use for the yellow horn strobes like that would be for carbon monoxide.
Not really there's no risk of it and you need to be able to differentiate which system is an alarm
Hi Nic by chance do you know where I can get a system sensor p2rl in Canada.
I have a quick question if the breakers are locked on are they able to trip if there's a fault
Yes they can trip I made a video about that a while back.
For the next test, could you pull the tower pull station
That's a good one to test. Since it's most exposed to the elements it has the highest chance of corrosion rendering the contacts inoperable.
Is it possible that you could test the fire alarm system in the garage while the garage is running off generator power?
interesting here if we cover our panels like you have we get a fine and a code write up only because i have seen them so well covered up you cant find them unless you know were to look are you allowed to cover your panels were you live?
This is a house not commercial panels can be in closets though that's normal
@@nics-systems-electric see here they cant be hidden for any reason does not mean it never happens ie diy hack etc
the system my other place has is a NFS-320 what do you think of that panel
They are good
7:09 Hey, what brand and model is that light, that is glowing purple color, and it is quite tall?
Govee
I love fire alarm
QUESTION: How can i use a fog machine without setting off the smoke alarms in my house?
Put something over it to prevent fog from getting into it.
@@wrap13579 like what? ive been looking all around my house for something that would work without letting any fog through but cant find anything good.
can you do a closeup on the transfer switch when the power goes out?
I'd recommend taking a look at some of my dedicated generator testing videos and installation where I show it close up
Hey Nic can you to the tower pull station next month please
6:14 Fire alarm goes off for the testing
16:17 That one is high volume or it's actually low volume just it's space makes it echo making it sound loud for you
Low volume with tape on it
@@nics-systems-electric why then it's so loud in the one of the sheds? in the shed is it echoing which makes it sound so loud?
Can you please do the tower😊
if no power on panel and baterry are dead is, english or spanish?
i wouldn't class that fire door as closed, it looks open still
The door closed when fire alarm went off will stop smoke from spreading around.
Do lamp test next month?
our keys are different than yours is called a B key and i have spares just in case one gets lost :)
Why when power is restored to garage there is a light running around the entry door?
That's what the light strips do on startup
Never noticed light strips around the door. Never seen them lit.
How come the house fire alarm system isn't switched to generator seems like a small load that is worth the capacity.
Separate building generator doesn't power both buildings
@@nics-systems-electric I think it be easy to power both systems off the garage building/generator.
@@Defianthuman nope. You could watch my video exactly though.
6:56 mixed sounds!
Not sure what you mean
@@nics-systems-electric I mean that both high and low volume devices mix in together making little bit of mixed sounds
@@erikmorozov1740 that's fine
@@nics-systems-electric Okay got it

Yes
10:34 fire alarm goes off again and 6 seconds later at 10:40 fire alarm stops
Are you planing on putting a blue strobe on the house
Probably not
@@nics-systems-electric Blue strobes are for panel announcination location, if he installed one, it would be somewhere nobody woud see it.
