Sorry my audio gets a little blown out as the video goes on, I had my volume up too much but I have a nice new microphone coming to record and audiobook :)
Also, I interrupted more often and abruptly in this one and could see how that would be annoying so I will try and be smoother next time but sometimes if I let them keep talking I don't know when to stop them lol.

absolutely unrelated to the foregoing, are vegan cheek fillers already on the market? some people complain that they cause irritation, that is, face redness, as they are produced by dubious Chinese labs in not so hygienic conditions.

You leave out the detailed information sooo much. Get real. ie legumes - older cultures soak and rinse their legumes etc at least over nignt to greatly reduce the lectins of which Gundy is fine with. As well as other topics and your sources are dubious at best - Did you know that even Peer Reviewed Medical Journals have been proven to be 50% Fake/Fraud and up to 80% are suspect. At best you just don't know such things as I mentioned. Try and do better

Well this is actually a pretty profound thing because with all this I'm leaving veganism or I'm now a vegan type of thing, it creates this idea that people are all over the place on a fringe stances. Omnivoreism is so hyper normalized and basically the default stance, you don't have people labeling themselves as even omnivores or talking about leaving it or coming back to it really so it it gets lost in the narrative.

Then it dawned on me: Said influencers want to acquire "new" subscribers who follow the same diet because the vegans will attack and then unsubscribe from their channel thus possibly leaving them without the funds they need to live a luxurious life because they fear work. My primary care physician is your typical western medicine doctor. I went plant based because of health issues I had been experiencing. When I went in for my annual check up, I talked to her about the change. She fully supported the change. She has always requested annual blood tests, checking for cholesterol, glucose, and also potassium (I have a blood pressure medication that lowers potassium levels so I’m also on a potassium supplement). She knew to ask me if I was supplementing B12, D3, and omegas because those are harder to get on a plant based diet. I’m sure going forward she’ll be testing for some of those levels going forward, because she simply cares for my overall health while knowing I can meet most of my dietary needs without consuming animal products.
I wish I could clone my doctor because there seem to be too many out there that are unsupportive of plant based/vegan diets.

Slow grown baked organic potatoes from your garden are a lot more healthy than sweet potato skinny fries from the freezer section of the supermarket. If you want a bit more fibre, do mixed mash with potatoes, with added carrot, parsnip or celeriac or just bake a few whole grain bread rolls.

I used to be skinny fat. I was thin but had no muscle tone and looked flat and flabby. So I started eating raw testicles. No, just kidding I started doing weight training and now at 38 I have way more muscle tone than 20 year old omnis. I’ve been vegan for 10 years, no health issues to date

As for the hair falling out in patches, being bloated, and being hungry all the time, the same can be said about some nonvegans too. I am satisfied on 1 or 2 meals a day as an increasingly whole food vegan while some people I know who aren't vegan feel the need to eat more often. She said she didn't know anything about gut health, perhaps if she had started there with different motivations she probably would have had different results. I really wish she and other nonvegan influencers would at least invest in no kill meat including fish and animal free dairy that way they can have all the meat and dairy they want without harming animals, humans, or the environment. Thank you for this upload.

Mic, you are so nice, like a microphone !!
I think you should KISS doctor Greger on the mouth, I would like to see that, I think you two would get along well together. He is even HEALTHIER than you and has super cognition !!
that's why you would love his lips and his beautifull teeth (the most beautifull a vegan can be).

Her “shiny” look is the trend…it’s called glass skin, and it espouses dewiness, even skin tone and smoothness, all without wearing foundation. Supposedly if one is “healthy” internally, this will be the look, although skincare manufacturers pull out all the stops to ensure their industry makes billions of dollars creating this look from the outside.

There are so many different 'vegan' diets from the cigarettes and cocaine diet, apparently popular with super models and Hollywood celebrities, to a whole plant food diet. What diet was she actually consuming? Note that the US Dietary Guidelines (2015-20) stated that a well planned vegan diet is healthful. It seems unlikely that she was eating a well-planned 'vegan' diet.

Me and my wife been plant based now for 19 years, and we don't have any of these issues with bloating or hair falling out etc.... My wife gets compliments on her hair all the time! Going raw is not a smart idea. Lots of anti-nutrients are in nuts and seeds that can only be removed with cooking. I can see having mineral deficiencies and bloating on a diet that is high in anti-nutrients.

I've finally figured out how to cook kale. Turns out the instructions are on the packaging. I must drizzle a little water over it, put it a microwavable tub and cook it for four minutes. It comes out great. It's on a par with spinach which is great because spinach is amazing but I don't eat it 'cos it's full of oxalates or whatever they're called. You know, the things which might...MIGHT...cause kidney stones, kidney failure and death if you eat too much of it.

Thank you for sharing, again. Anyone can consume an unhealthy food regimen and then blame
it on the "diet". Stress is also a major problem, and we know stressed humans tend to eat processed and fast foods. Women, especially, need iron as we have our monthly cycles.
Psychology is another factor, being different around humans who are not takes a strong person.

I do think organic is important. Yes it seems nice initially to be able to spray a pesticide to ensure food security. In light of the fact that there are so many cons against spraying I think we need to move to abandon glyphosate.
There are several reasons this is important to me. A certain amount of glyphosate exposure leads to cancer so reliably that we now have billion dollar lawsuits against Monsanto. Additionally, the residue effect of spraying glyphosate is a negative effect on waterways and soil health (we have a huge global soil health problem, think potential dust bowl, but global). Other countries do spray less in comparison to the US.
In addition to disrupting the microbes in our soil, glyphosate disrupts, can kill, the microbes in our gut which we need for a whole host of bodily functions that keep us healthy.
So really, organic is an investment in global soil health as well as personal health. It’s just like veganism, the more people participate, the better it gets! We can absolutely meet global produce demands through organic farming. This is especially true if we can keep up the momentum on folks going vegan! ❤
