    It's probably a physical insertion impediment t preventing full seating of the connector. I've had this on some of my thrunites. The cheap cables with huge wide soft plastic molded plugs , like that white one, need to be sanded or trimmed down to fit into the aluminum slot around the charging port, or to expose more of the length of the USB plug as the cheap molded cables are often out of spec and not exposing enough of the plug.
    Anyhow , i agree with you that it is a thrunite downside. it would be better if thrunite would stop designing a recess into the case and just have the port be more flush so this can't happen.

      Thank you. I really appreciate the detailed explanation. I'm sure others will too. Just seems odd that an easy fix exists, but Thrunite refuses to use it.

      @@NGMonocrom I agree they should adapt to the unfortunate reality of the patchwork of different cables already out in the wild. It's too bad the USB connector specifications standard doesnt also focus enough on specifications for the molding itself. (or maybe they do , and manufacturers simply ignore?) The plug molding variation causes this issue on all sorts of phone cases and other devices.
