Thank you to Ed Lowe everyone at Migrate. I emigrated from the US to UK with my British born partner April 2022 and I owe it all to Migrate. Everyone at Migrate was extremely professional, prompt, and Migrate's services cost thousands $$/££ less than other firms were charging. Work is picking up as a self-employed property photographer and as a former New York city boy, I am so in love with the city of London. Hire Migrate's services and you won't be disappointed. Thank you Migrate!

Hi. I am an American married to a British National and we've recently found out the fees for the spouse visa and the fees that VFS Global is charging. Would you like to share your experience with me? They say that it will take 6 months for a response...That is insane!!

@@soniagw66 All I can say is that you need to contact the team at Migrate. I cannot speak highly enough of them. This is not something that you want to do alone, but I can swear and attest that you are able to trust these folks.

Thank you so much for this video! Quick question though, if the applicant is currently in the UK on a Fiance Visa and have applied for a Spouse Visa, would the applicant have to return to their home country if the time it takes to process the Spouse Visa overlaps the required stay (6 months) on the Fiance Visa?

I need clarification for one case. If you marry a UK spouse with British citizenship, do you spend 3 years in total in the UK to get citizenship or ILR, or you still need to wait 5 years? if you still need to wait 5 years, what is the point of the spousal visa/citizenship through marriage? Thanks!

Thank you for the video. I have a question: my passport will expire November 2023 and I am planning to apply for my spousal visa in January 2023. Seeing that the current timeline 6-8 months before getting a decision, there is a possibility that my passport may have expired by that time. Will this affect my visa decision? Can it be refused because of that?

For anyone asking questions about what documentation is needed create an application online fill in the information they request and you will see at the end what documentation is needed for English language requirements and financial requirements. You don’t have ro submit the application it just gives you an idea of what they ask for.

Hi there . If i could rewind at 7.15 , I wish to have more clarity . If the British citizen/sponsor has travelled overseas and whilst overseas , he/she together with the applicant submits the application form online including the supporting document ( physically ) etc , can the sponsor wait with the applicant overseas until they get a response from the Immigration/Home office ? Or is it mandatory for the sponsor to be present in the uk at the time the applicant has submitted the application( outside the uk ) and has to wait or stay put for a response from the home office until the applicant receives a response ?

Thankyou for the great video!! I have a quick question. If the sponsor is employed by a family partnership business (NOT limited company), is it correct that this means category A/B will be used, and there is no requirement to submit business documentation. And is it best to clearly clarify this in the cover letter?

Hi hope you can help me answer a question. My fiancé applied for a spouse visa a few days ago and paid for it but the page offered no option to pay the immigration health surcharge as a part of the application. Is this normal for that to happen? If it is, when would she be prompted to pay it? She is applying outside of the U.K.

Hi, Thank you so much for this great video. I have one question around finances. If the sponsor loses his/her job say 3 months before application but then in last 12 months, 9 months payslips are shown which cross the minimum required funds, is this still okay? Will this be under category B? Does the sponsor need to be employed when submitting Spouse visa application?

  • @timholland6575

This is fantastic, covers virtually every question I had. I have one small question, any help appreciated.
I have only been in my current job for 4 months. I will therefore be relying solely on cash savings of 62500.
However, when you click only 'cash savings' (from the 5 checkboxes), it later asks for: "Details of sponsor's future employment in the UK.
So it assumes you are currently unemployed, which isn't true for me. I don't want to click 'rely on both cash and income' since I've worked fewer than 6 months and plus I've been told to give the required no of docs and not more, or else it muddies things a little.
If anyone else hit this issue, be very grateful to know your thoughts.

Could you please make a separate video about financial requirements for a spouse visa and documents that should be provided like (1) should the bank statements, that were dowloaded from the official website, be stamped by a bank?; (2) how recent these statements should be (the day of application, one week, 1 month)?, especially for thouse who live and work with a partner abroud, so none of them currently work and live in the UK but have savings in the UK bank and savings abroud.

      Hi Katerina,
      Thank you for the suggestion.
The document-specific Immigration Rules are indeed one of the things that we intend to discuss.
In the meanwhile, please read Appendix FM-SE as this is the section in the Immigration Rules which discusses much of the document-specific requirements.
      Kind regards,
      Jason.

I've taken a sabbatical leave for 4 months which started on the 1st of March and will end on 1st July. I'm the sponsor in the case of our application. I've got written official letters from work explaining that I took a sabbatical in order to get married to my wife and spend some time with her. When filling in the application, do I fall under category A of the financial requirement? I know category B is for UK sponsors that are based outside of UK during the time of application submission, but I'm not technically based outside of UK, I'm just here on a career break (non-paid) for the sake of coming over to get married and spend time with her over here. My employers and I have agreed that they will continue to employee me and I will continue my role with the company when I return in July. Their letter also explains why I have no payslips for months March to June and that I will provide payslips for months Feb going 6 months back. Does anyone have any advice they can give me. Is Category A fine to use in my case?

really curious what you mean about immigration history? is it the British spouse or the foreign spouse's immigration history that would be the issue? this is the first I have heard about it.
This is a great video though. Thank you for being so clear and informative.

Will my kids also need to have TB Test Certificate if I am the only one applying for spouse visa since my kids are dual citizens ( British & Filipino) .

Superb video, really well explained. Wish I'd seen one like this before hiring expensive lawyers, we could have done our application ourselves. Home Office financial requirements for self-employed people are very confusing, if they'd said simply' net profit' instead of 'gross taxable profit' it would have saved a failed first application for us.

I have learned a lot thank you! I have some questions regarding adding my over 18 yrs old son with the family dependent visa as he was here in the UK as a little boy. Thank you if anybody replies to me. I need all the good pointers so I would not make a mistake.

Do you have any videos or information on the indefinite right to remain process? My wife already has a spouse visa and has for almost 5 years, we are now looking at the next steps.
