This past weekend’s Bible studies have taxed my brain. Even so, I’m still not caught up with your teachings!! Now, the week has begun and there are a million things to do. At this point, the pendulum of my heart swings from the bookwork of scripture to an awareness that without brothers and sisters beside me… my spirit might be crushed. Here’s where Matthew’s insight comes into play. Messiah’s resurrection directly affected a small band of believers that morning. Can you imagine the fun, as one looked to the other, and they compared stories?? It’s John who catches my attention as we learn elsewhere that he, as usual, referred to himself as the one whom Jesus loved. Was John especially proud, vain as he “bragged” about his status?? No. John’s life had been cataclysmically changed through his relationship with Messiah. If anyone had come to understand what love is, it was John. It seems that each time he spoke of being the one who was loved… John was reminding himself about how incredible it was that he himself had been chosen, called into an intimate kinship with Him. He never took for granted being part of the family of God. May the same be true of me!!
@@gailward7449 Agreed. Sometimes there is that special person that just has that place in your heart. I Believe that's who John was to Messiah. It could be why Jihn did not refer to himself by name but as the disciple that Messiah loved. It could also be that, while all the other disciples lives were taken, John lived to be an old man writting the end our our Bible.
Shabbat Shalom Dave & all Yeshua Jesus =Salvation lover's of Yahweh! Well, another 3 &1/2 inches of snow Other hadn't yet melted Loved snow cream as a child NEVER eat it again in fact, pray, stay out of it. Please don't let your pets play or eat it 🙏
Shabbat Shalom! More snow here but not as much. I had to go out and clear some snow for people. I see the safety of people is more important that not working on the sabbath. Yes, that snow ice cream of old that my mom made, yummy. Yeah, can't trust anything out of the sky today.
It is not legitimate. John 19:40 NKJV - Then they took the body of Jesus, and bound it in strips of linen with the spices, as the custom of the Jews is to bury. Strips of linen is how they buried people back then. Additionally, the face cloth would have been His tallit. It is separate from everything else.
Shabbat shalom
Shabbat Shalom to you as well brother.

Amen and John would be Messiahs younger cousin.
@@DaveKull63 Seeing this brought a knowing smile. Sometimes, close relatives encourage our faith. Sometimes, they don't.

What do you think about the shroud of Turin? Isn’t that what it’s called? Could that have been wrapped around Jesus?

@ That’s what I think, too.
