I was thrilled to get a free set, but when I brought it home I realized it needed a lot of "love"! The SteelStik is a great tip, I didn't know about that! My only concern/suggestion is that when sanding rust always wear a proper respirator. Also, backdrop and respirator for spray paint. Backdrop to mitigate chemicals going on plants/wildlife from the toxic paint.
I've never heard of that steel stick before. I have a patio chair that has a broken support bar on the legs that I can use this to fix. Thanks for the tip! 😊

Thank you! I'm glad you like it! No that long! I removed the rust and cleaned off the dust and dirt. Dried it. Did the rust reformer. Once the rust reformer dried, I added the filler. It doesn't take that long to cure but I think I waited overnight. The next day I sanded, primed, and painted. So, two days but not full days.
I LOVE my used, formerly rusty patio chairs! I do have to touch them up every couple of years, but I think they’re really worth it. Thanks for the steel stick (?) tip. Mine weren’t quite bad enough for that, but that could come in handy.😊

I’ve used the steelstik on several projects with great success. But the rust reform is new. I have an abundance of metal garden art. ( A guy owed me money , paid me in garden art) the rust always comes back. Maybe the reform will help. Thanks
You do have a genius for turning literal trash into a thing of beauty. Definitely don’t want the people that put these at the curb to see them, they’d want them back.😀
That color is so pretty! I think a white table would go really well with these chairs.
I was thinking white or a little bolder since the shed is white and was worried it might blend too much.

Is it the feel leaving marks? If so, seal the bottoms of the feet with a clear sealer
