Great production work Maila! Your videos are packed with so much valuable information that is presented extremely well. You are also an excellent speaker/presenter! Love it!
@@mailagibson6787 Thank you for sharing your experiences with us, especially to those thinking of moving to Hawaii. You keep things real an on point. Your clients are so lucky to have you. I've only lived in the Palolo, Kaneohe, Kaimuki and now Hawaii Kai. Love it out here!
I grew up and spent the first 17 years of my life in a camp for a pineapple company in what is now mililani. It was a great place to grow up in. It was surrounded by pineapple fields. There was open spaces to play in and gulches to explore. There was not much to be afraid of. There was a baseball field and big space to place in and there was a basketball court across our house. Good place to grow up.
I used to liken Mililani to Los Angeles area suburbs, like in the movie "E.T." I don't think Mililani Mauka existed when I was there. My perspective of Oahu is that it was all like being in one city. You lived in your neighborhood, like Schofield Barracks or Wahiawa, or Mililani and would do your errands right around home. School, groceries, etc. Then you hit the road but for a not-so-long drive to Pearlridge or someplace around there. Then for something special, like the zoo or Sea Life Park or someplace, take an even longer trip. Along those lines, those trips were also school field trips.
Grew up in Wahiawa.! Exit 8! Lol. Family still there (and in Mililani Mauka). Those brownies are sooo good! Stumbled across your channel and love the content and production.
IMO...In Wahiawa, Sunnyside were known for their pies. But after 2020-21 renovation, Tanya's Grill & Pies have siphoned some of Sunnyside's customers. Same as Dong Yang Korean BBQ. Some of their kitchen staff opened Seoul Kitchen, next to Foodland....Brok' Da Mouf!-lol
Who would've thouht that pineapple fields would be a paradise in centraloahu. Only thing negative , its getting so overcrowded. Ideal weather year round.raised in waipio Graduated leilehua in 1965. Ypo kipapa
Mililani was and will always be my favorite part of O'ahu!❤🤙🏽🌺

Thank you so much. I’ve lived pretty much everywhere on the island, so I love reliving it through video. 😆 Thank you for always being so encouraging.

Great video! Were you in broadcasting before you became a realtor? Your presentation is excellent!
Haha! Thank you. No, I was never in broadcasting. I used to sing professionally though.
