I love the idea of creating drawings with the background being actual paper. I may try that for my own work. Thanks! :)
ive watched hundreds of these types of videos and this one is the only one that's actually been helpful
Im a year into drawing, and i can't say i improved as much as I would've hoped to. seeing all of the videos of prople also deciding to draw for around the same people of time having much better results frustrates me, but a few days ago i revisited my very first drawing from a year ago and while i havent improved a lot im still a lot better than i was before and i hope i will continue getting better if i just keep at it and dont let my frustration win and rob me of a fun hobby. This comment really has no deep meaning. I've just wanted to share my experience with art so far.
I began drawing when I was 29, and I'm 30 now. It's never too late to pick up a hobby you enjoy! :D
27 year old beginner here and I second this
I think "just draw" is actually a good advice.
"But what to draw?" - that's the thing we need to figure out before starting.
I personally chose to focus on drawing humanoid characters (the fun part for me) and to learn fundamental stuff (the part of growth). If you start drawing what you like consistently, it will become a habit. And if you built a habit first, it's so much easier to get addicted to drawing and become improving over time. I learned this from PewDiePie's "drawing for X days" videos.
Please grow up 😂. You aren't wise because you watched pewdiepie make mid drawings for 2 months
@@jetrifle4209 huh? I just said what worked for me. Does it matter that his drawings are "mid" if they inspire people to actually start doing a great hobby?
@@echo_chambeRR yes😂 you're corny that you needed pewdiepie to inspire you.
your line confidence is SO good
Line confidence? What's to risk? Bro can just hit undo😂. Maybe any that to traditional artist where one mistake means hours of work gone
@jetrifle4209 line confidence applies to digital art as well mate "just hit undo" yeah if you're doing lineart smh
@@yolowkayskrt lmao no it really doesn't 😂😂 you risk NOTHING nothing to be confident or insecure about . Stick to watching bud.
@jetrifle4209 you clearly don't understand what line confidence is which tells me all I need to know 😂
@@yolowkayskrt it's the amount of pressure you use when using pencils or ink etc. And like I said digital undo button . Traditional ruined drawing. Like I said stick to watching kid.
I'm in this really annoying state. I like drawing and want to get better but i can't figure out what exactly to study, who to study, how to study all these things. And i can't even buy a course since im broke. I draw for fun but i still feel lost
Art school knowledge here. Study perspective, gesture and anatomy. In this order. There you have it. Start.
@@rijodan they don’t need to draw people they can draw other stuff
@@LolaSmitty084 still
Some drawing experience here. You wanna draw? Broke? Say less. Drawing still life is a good place to start. An art professor told me that looking at stuff on a screen is kinda of cheating since it's already in 2-D. Drawing still life, you kinda have to translate what you see onto the page, also you learn how to observe stuff. Nothing will be harder to draw than stuff in the world. Remember, anime is just an abstraction of real life stuff. Those artists know all the fundamentals, so they can change the rules a bit to make it look pleasing. Practice your fundamentals, practice as much as you can. Draw some anime for fun and enjoyment, then worry about developing your art style, you need skill before you worry about the extra fun stuff.
@@Clover-_- Oh, thanks. I've mainly been doing stuff on my computer so I'll try practice some still life :D
When your talking about the fundamentals of drawing and your talking about how there are so many and how we need to find what art style we like to draw in (I really like drawing in anime style) and I have to find my own artist that I admire uhm but me personally I admire you as an artist so it would help me SOO MUCH if u could make a separate video all about every fundamental basic drawing “skill” that we need to learn (Yes, even the boring stuff) to get as good as you (also I am a beginner and I literally have very very little practice)😅❤
Theere's so manyyy underated artistssssss
this is acually one of the best art tuts ive ever heard
Bro, I love this guy’s video not only was it useful, but it was also a crack up. I love the jokes, bro. You earned yourself a new sub
Thanks mate awesome deku drawing and awesome tips. You have my sub ❤
0:48 so do i 😂
Recently found your channel I really like your videos thank you♥️
GREAT VIDEO! everything is fireee :D
3:51 was insane
Yoooo nooo wayyy bros scetch is horikoshi level😭🙏im tryna become like you
Not really, but it's still really good.
Its not even close 💀
@@notjordan._.6658 actually it's pretty close his hatching and shading is just like horikoshi
@@Zapstreem284 I can see the gap between them. It's incredibly vast. The gap between horikoshi and me is a bit closer but the gap is too wide to even tell.
Yeah! I am guilty of chicken scratching my sketches 😅🤷♂️ Maybe if I stopped maybe if I stopped I wouldn’t have to go back and reline everything.
Lulu is consistently leveling up.
@luluchiru This is definitely the definitive way of goin about it, you can tell this is true because Pewdiepie only followed this way of drawing because he drew from his favorite manga and didn’t go through so many art videos like my indecisive ass
ur 2021 drawing looks somewhat better than the 2024 version, in my opinion ofc. No offense
U right.
Nice one!
Idk what your words or what you did but that help me a lot on drawing you turn me into a drawist into artist
That's what I had to do when I was younger. Printing out anime characters and using traceing paper to learn how to draw poses.
do you have tips fore shading with pen or fine line great vid btw
1) Learn how to draw highlights and blend/feather it within the shading of your ink.
2) Use crosshatching or use various types of shading techniques that suit you the most.
3) Use different pens with varying shades of gray
4) Try multiple pens with different line thickness.
5) learn how to apply detail in your style
Have a good day, God bless you! :)
Hello bro and members of art community I need a advice should I draw a character and see what have I done wrong and move on to another drawing or should I repeatedly draw that drawing again until I fix my all mistakes
I am just an amateur but what I heared is to draw the character first with reference and draw it again without to compare and learn from the differences you made. Grinding out is very ill advised as this will only burn you out and never leave you satisfied.
I am another artist that has pretty recently started art seriously and me personally I'd look over what I dislike or done wrong in my drawing and try to research the right way to draw it practicing that and attempt another character drawing while including that new skill. You shouldn't just keep doing drawings try to look over them and research before moving onto the next one. This is from my experience you don't have to listen to me
thats a hamster
0:19 hold on… you started drawing when you were 19.. is that art work from 2021, when you ‘just started’? 😱😱
thats what im saying aint no way thats a starters art
I love your content man :D
Thank you mario
thanks lulu
Am just boiling with anger right now, I CAN DRAW ANATOMY FINE BUT I CAN'T DRAW THE FACE SOMEHOW, RAAAAAAHHHHHHHH
Make robot with chain saws and blade wings :D
@@ee-ii6eo reminds me of ultrakill, BUT HELL YEAH BROTHER
How did you learn to draw anatomy?
@@XannyEdits i don't even know, i just kept looking at people and drawing them and it worked out
Respecte 👌
We are all different and “just drawing” works, if you know what to draw.
That will help you improve.
you should be a teacher this is really good stuff like the explantion and everything
Love you dude
Im 14 and I started when I was 12. Ngl I feel I have both improved and not improved bc I get some really bad drawings when I try to draw characters from dragonball. I don’t know why it turns out like that, but I would like to learn what I’m doing wrong from a professional artist.
"There are no rules to art" is also a good one. Really not helpful but also untrue. If you really think about it, the rule's reality, and you abstract from it, as you said combine different aspects of the things you know to "create" something you've never seen before.
The Problem Is, we are bombarded with tons of Vdo how to draw by many many many artists.
It confusing and brain rotting.
Choose what ohh ok this then yt throws some more mat you.
Then more and more and more
pick one video and fullscreen it
What is that brush dude
ty man a good tutorial but i can't draw on a pen tablet for some reson my aim suck haha
i started drawing at 2 and im 11 now and from my 2-8 age i only drew trexs, but now that i started drawing anime im not as good at drawing rexs anymore.
Ikr
please what software do you use, so i can get started
He's using clip studio paint
Hey, I don't know if you will respond to me, but in case you do, do you think there is a problem with drawing on paper, I really can't draw on my phone with my finger since the all drawings come worse than on paper, and I don't have money to buy one of those tablets or a pen right now, nor in the near future actually, so I wanted to know if it's worthy trying to learn now, or wait until I have something other than a notebook, a phone and a finger.
Start with paper. The skills transfers over
Its usually better to practice on paper especially if you’re a beginner
Don't wait. The sooner you start practicing and gaining experience the better. Regular old paper and pencil can still be the best for doing life studies/value studies which will help you immensely if you can get yourself to do them.
Okay, thank you everyone for the tips
which brushes are you using?

Nope never to young but don’t reveal your age publicly online it might cause harm

You kinda glossed over observation. It’s truly the most important part to drawing anything
Its also common sense so, it can be glossed over
"Drawing is not a talent"
If it isn't, why is your 2021 drawing doesn't look like a beginner's, despite you starting drawing at that year?
skill issue ong
@@lilzoomie8537r/woosh
because he choosed to learn drawing smartly
Because it probably wasn't his first drawing
He never said that was his first drawing, just a drawing from around the time he started drawing more as a passion, he already had some artistic skill beforehand obviously
Im sorry yall but ion use reference (dont judge)
start using it😠
Me either I do what I want how I want
its best to use a reference
@@ee-ii6eo learn how to actually draw
Have you heard of cognitive drawing
Can you elaborate I'm curious
please elaborate
Learning the fundamental. No, i won't. I'm 39 yo & i have a lot of responsibilities. Yeah, it's too late for me to even start drawing. Btw that AI art look very tempting 😅
It’s never too late! i’ve only been drawing for 4 years :) Don’t do ai it’s useless
There isn't an age requirement for drawing. ai can be fun sometimes but it's useless unless your using it for references i guess, but using an actual human drawing for reference would still be better since they have a normal amount of fingers
@@maxwellwelcome6810 I've tried drawing last year but all of them suck 😫
@@hafizmazuki2443 Takes time to learn it, like with any skill you haven't done similar stuff with before.
@hafizmazuki2443 that's pretty normal I recently started drawing again and they don't look the best either you shouldn't rush the process learn at your own pace
What brush do you use?
