At 2:52 you drag and drop VRayBitmap onto the Dome's texture slot. I couldn't figure out how to do the same using the Slate Material Editor rather than the Compact Material Editor which I don't use much. But thanks, really cool tutorial on that subject.
The light is too bright on my render, I use a clear sky map. I don't get a dark one that I can then edit brighter. Do you know what I could do to fix this?
When I place my HDRI inside a vray dome light my renderings look grainy, however, when I place the HDRI within the vray environment parameter it looks clean. What could cause the rendering to be grainy when the HDRI is placed within a Vray dome light?
-guys, how to unhide CLAMP OUTPUT in Vray 5 render settings (3DS Max) using a maxscript? (it's hidden by default says chaosgroup -for I have problem with jagged edges on bright area of an object (it's easily solve before by SubPixel Mapping and Clamp Output)...

I don't believe it's possible to do that with Hdri sky. Instead, you can use the background override in the render settings, to set a different image. Or you can place a background plan/dome object inside the scene with your hdr map and controll it from there

When I rotate the dome light with hdri map in it, only dome light is rotating but hdri image is not rotating. Please, help me.
