Vray exterior lighting using HDRI & Dome Light in 3ds max - how to apply hdri in 3ds max

In this 3ds max V-Ray realistic exterior lighting tutorial, you will learn AFTERNOON, CLOUDY & finally NIGHT scene exterior lighting using HDRI & VRay Dome light in 3ds max software. You will also learn Post-processing in Vray frame buffer ( VFB ).

Thanks for this video...i Have one question for you bro If I export sketchup model to 3dsmax then render with vray 5 3dsmax ... so will my render quality be like 3dsmax?

VRay will always produce the same result. It doesn't matter from which software you import. After all the model after importing is now a 3ds max native model.
But you have to apply the VRay materials on the model.
One more thing. If the SketchUp model is not properly modeled then it will create problem. But again it's a Modeling error. It can even come if you model is not properly made in 3ds max.

Instead of controlling the blur in hdri. Use the image provided with hdri as given on polyhaven website.
But if image is not given then use a high resolution hdri.
If still it doesn't work then do lighting with hdri and use a separate image for backgrounds

Either VRay is not loaded in render settings or your are looking at the wrong place in material editor

If you are downloading HDRI from HDRI haven. Then carefully look there is 8K Tonemapped JPG below the HDRI links. You can use it for background.
Remember if you are using 8K Tonemapped then you might have to change mapping type to spherical. But not necessary.
Plus you can also use some other image for background.

If you're using vray 5. Then you don't need change subdivs. They are automatically calculated.
