This is how I mix a 3-part hydroponics nutrient solution for the Kratky method of hydroponics.
Floragrow uses an npk mix to give the best hydroponic feeding for vegetables and other plants so you do not need to use potting mix or soil.
Growing hydroponically is surprisingly a clean way to grow plants indoors using the Kratky method. The pests are few and you will never have to worry about gnats! I want to Emphasize never to mix the concentrates together.
The Kratky method of hydroponics is the simplest way to grow indoors at home.
You just submerge the grow medium in the water and allow the plant roots to grow into the solution. the only maintenance is topping off the container with more nutrients as the plan uses it up.
Thank you for taking the time to follow my hydroponic nutrient guide.

    big note:
Dont use "softened water" for hydroponics
these systems use salt to make the water soft, wich causes particle isolation.. much like rose pedals floating together in a pond, your nutrients will float together in clumps wich will be too large for your plants to absorb. this is what you refer to ass "nutrient lock" always avoid anything salty! (the same thing happens in our bodies btw, causing things like fat build up) :)
still got a thumbs up from me tho! great and simple instructive video

My thought process is that hydroponics is not an exact science. The same plant can grow in many different conditions so if I add a little too much or too little then it’s okay. The plant knows how to survive. I agree that it might affect growth though!

If you are a beginner, I would not go longer than 7 days. However, I often forget to change the water for over 10 days and it’s fine.
Make sure you are adding hydroguard to the water so the bacteria will kill root rotting bacteria. It technically should be good for several weeks if you also add an air bubbler and block the light from the water but I haven’t tested it too much.

    • @joshuarudd6297

You should never let your nutrients go for longer than a week. Since I have several large plants in my system, it only takes about 4 days for my plants to drink all the nutrient water. I then refill it with regular water for another 3 days and by then the water is gone again allowing me to drain and clean the reservoir and filters adding nutrient water at the end. How this helps!

I’m sorry bro but you can’t just round up to 6 tablespoons per gallon if the plants are not ready for that amount of nutrient. The General hydroponics system is meant to be followed to the T. Each stage of your plants life the amount of nutrients will change and you need to follow that very closely. I may not to be as experienced as this guy but I’ve grown my fair share of plants and I have been using General hydroponics for over 15 years now. They are literally the best nutrients for hydroponics that you can buy. Also they came out with some additional nutrients to go along with these three bass nutrients which makes your plants just so much better I can’t even explain.Guys please remember when measuring your nutrients for hydroponics they need to be on point no rounding up no rounding down none of that if it calls for 1 teaspoon per gallon that’s what it should get

Hello my friend , you are using these fertilizers incorrectly. If mixing all these liquids together was correct, the manufacturer would have put them all in one container. You must use each fertilizer separately by monitoring the stages of plant growth. Each stage has its own fertilizer
