I am a 72 year old. Carnivore three years and bad arthritis is gone. Found dairy is an inflammatory for me, even though I love it. So now hives and psoriasis totally gone along with 65 pounds. Greatfully happy to have found the proper way to eat for my body.
Christina Mathewson...I wish the GAPS DIET had been ALL YOU CAN EAT meat & bone broth 20 years ago...I would have been so much further along in healing. Sadly, it was restricted to 1/2 cup bone broth and 1 cup hamburger each meal with squash as the filler. I could not get squash and I could not see how starving myself on top of all my other misery was going to help me. So...I finally tried carnivore 1 year ago....my gut is slowly healing
Lots of love Anne, I’m sorry that was your experience and sadly like anything, not all practitioners are the same and back then the knowledge was limited.
This is the first I heard of someone that was doing carnivore and wasn’t in Ketosis. I have always heard I do not even have to test as long as I’m eating fat and meat. I am in Ketosis. Going to have to look harder into this. Thanks for sharing your story.
It’s a common teaching and misconception, based on the assumption that glucose and ketones are only in response carb intake and completely misses the insulin link.
Have you started Lion? I too have those symptoms and am ketovore. Thinking of starting Lion or BBBE. At the moment caffeine and dairy are my biggest probable inflammation triggers.
@@altawalker29 I haven't gone Lion yet. Planning to go stricter in January. Now I'm still adjusting to Carnivore. I plan on going dairy free, but still eat my sardines. Healing my 20 year ME/Cfs is the goal, if possible.

So sorry I missed this!!! I have been doing carnivore for 14 months and I have not lost ANY weight at all (I need to lose 50 pounds). I have tried eating more and more fat and more protein, but the only way I lose any weight is fat fasting when I am sick...but I gain it back once I am well. While I know I am healing... there does NOT seem to be anything I can do to lose weight or inches. I am not an over-eater, but I am trying not to be an under-eater either. It seems like something is deeply wrong but I just don't really know where to even go or try.

I've just decided to remove the dairy. I think it makes my sinuses inflamed and my hands puffy in the morning. I am still doing ginger tea with a bit of honey because I let go of the Dandy Blend coffee alternative AND coffee a long time ago. Today is my 2nd day with no dairy. We'll see how it goes. Hello Anita. New to your channel. I'm new to carnivore. I teeter from keto to carnivore. The biggest question I have is - what are your thoughts about taking supplements. Are you taking any??? I am seeing a holistic doctor and I was put on a lot of supplements. I'm wondering if that was a good thing? Here's the list: Bioavail Multi Vit, Nattokinaise, D350, Concentrated K, Iodine tablets, Pregnenolone, Vit C, CoQ10, and B6 complex. So, do we get enough of the vitamins and minerals eating just meat, do you think?? THANKS.
There are several carnivores that talk about how dropping the plants causes them NOT to need supplaments. I have seen that is true for most supplaments. Other than Vitamin D (maybe K too) in northern regions & for menopause (HRT). But I stopped most supplaments and found that I needed them and needed to go down slowly. So as you go carnivore, slowly cut the multi-vit & Vit C & B, CoQ10...see how you feel. Break in half....Even every other day...all ways to slowly cut down.
I personally and professionally don’t taken many, and prefer to eat foods that fill those spaces instead, however for some people it’s necessary for a period of time.
@@juliecoulston56 hi, I reached my fat by frying beef fat with every meal I had and making sure I drink any fat that was left in the pan in the form of gravy
This is awesome that you’re doing Lion diet Anita & Christina. I can’t do dairy or cheese so I find it frustrating when dairy is a common addiction in a great sounding recipe! So celebrate 🎉❤ Good to hear about her working on her emotional eating. I’m still with eggs as BC’s meat is high cost! but otherwise is beef & pork with Real Salt. 🎉

Having serious ME/Cfs, I live with that "flu" with pain, fever and chronic exhaustion.
Now on Carnivore, I realize I probably need to go Lion.
It's worth a shot! By the way, Christina and I are on again tonight, you can ask questions live! 7PM Eastern.

I need a visual lesson on the amount of food and fat for the day because after listening last night to the speaker, I wonder if I am eating enough

How is it perceived, using MCT oil to help boost ketones?
Mct oil can be really helpful tool for some people to train their body to get used to using ketones for sure.
@@ChristinaMathewsonNaturopath Thank you 😊
Some people do that. I get severe stomach cramping with MCT oil so I avoid.
@@KetogenicWoman Interesting, lard does that to me. I can only eat small amounts. Thank you. Love your videos.

what did Christina exactly eat on Lion diet???????
Ruminant animals (beef, lamb) water and salt. Just like I am doing now!
What are some symptoms or reactions to DAIRY
Often it’s can be joint pain, inflammation, congestion, mucus build up
I get redness on my nose and pimples. Plus it stalls my weight loss.

I believe we do! The only supplement I take is Vitamin D3/K2 as my doctor said my Vit D levels were too low. Everything else comes from the meat!
@@KetogenicWoman Thank you!
Research Dr. Berry and you’ll find that he says meat has everything you need. You may want to take Vitamin D if you want.

Goat is also a very tasty ruminant
Yes 😊
Isn’t bison too lean? I remember my former diets, bison was less fatty than beef/hamburger.
Yes it is very lean so you would want to make sure you get enough fat that day.
What’s Christina’s examples of a “good chunk of fat”?
You can ask her next week! She will be on my livestream to follow up on my 30 days and her over 60 days now!
Are organ meats lion diet like chicken livers?
The organs should also come from a ruminant animal, so beef liver, calf liver, bison and so on ...

Q If goat is allowed on lion diet, can we eat goat cheese
Goat cheese is dairy, there is no dairy on Lion. The dairy that ruminates produce is meant to fatten up their babies!
