Hi Anita, Im from Burlington Ontario struggling on and off carnivore, carnivore to binge on sugar. I'm 69. When I'm good, I'm good . When I'm not. Well, you can imagine.
    I am not giving up.
I'm starting over today! 69 years old NO meds.
    Thank you!

If truly addicted you can't cut down and stay down. Ex smoker. That is why some people struggle with sugar/carbohydrates. The sugar in them is addictive.
All carbohydrates turn to sugar in the body. You don't need to eat sugar.
Any sugar the body needs the liver will make from your other foods.
In fact the liver can be too keen to make sugar, especially in type 2 diabetics. The Dawn effect. It will lower after a time. By eating Ketogenic, Ketovore, or Carnivore. Whichever diet gives you the best results.

      @@Ariella-mx3xq4cw6n hi,
I don’t know how it works for you. But it helped me to eliminate foods gradually . Like leaving all starchy foods ( pasta, potatoes, rice, bread, pizza etc. )
But once per day a little treat like 1 peace of chocolate as a desert or 1 glass of wine in the evening. And maybe one small portion of fries per week. Just to get adjusted to less carbs. After that, i skipped dairy , except for creamcheese, and double cream in my coffee etc. But you have to find out what works best for you of course.
I found the no nonsense vids from Dr Ken Berry very helpful. I wish you all the best. Don’t beat yourself up if it doesn’t work the first time. It took me 2 years on and off before i managed.

73 year old female here. I eat primarily carnivore, with an occasional couple bites of in-season fruit or veg. I remember as a child, we were always taught that we were supposed to chew each bite 30 times before swallowing it. I can't say that I actually always did that, but that was what we were taught. And now I occasionally try counting how many chews per bite, but 30 chews per bite would take me a very long time to finish my meal. I missed the live, but I watched it later, and I loved your interview.

No thank you. Dinner would be cold before you were even half way through the meal. I also think its extreme.
Where is the research for this abnormal way of eating?
It may have been used by parents to stop children from stuffing their mouths at speed. Then become a fact.
Also you would not be popular with friends in a restaurant.

I have asthma and COPD. I started carnivore March 8, 2023. March 10th I used my inhaler for the last time. I have not used it, even once and prior to that it was 4 to 6 times a day.
I packed up my nebulizer and duoNeb to the closet March 12 I’ve been able to drop from Trelegy 200 to Trelegy100.
Just prior to regular pulmonary dr appt 5/16, I had my normal chest xrays which reported “No active disease noted”. My pulmonary Dr speechless. I feel almost ‘normal’. No junk, no carbs, no inflammation!! It’s amazing and so humbling.

About Joann, I would focus first on being carnivore for two reasons: first because quiting wine at the same would cause more cravings and make carnivore more challenging and second, being in ketosis is very efficient at stopping cravings therefore making easier to quit any addictive substances as alcool, cigarettes, drugs etc

But the main praise is I had lots of trouble with my feet and they are feeling great since I started this plan. I don’t want to cheat because I don’t want my feet to start hurting again.

80% of all EEVO are diluted with seed oil. I don’t trust any oils, they are very inflammatory. If adding fat use animal fat. Ghee Butter, fry in tallow, etc.
