      13.0 is a pretty quick street car on all motor. Shooting for bottom 9's this year.

    Man the way your suspension separates just like those high-dollar drag radial cars... I love it

      Ya im actually trying to tame it down a bit. It knocks the tires off when the suspension hits the top if i hit it with enough power. Trying to get a 9 second pass this season.

    Get the boost under control off-launch, and this is solid 9-second car, for sure.

      Yep, have changed a bit. Added a holley terminator. Hoping to get it to the track once it cools off this fall(local track shutdown) should be an easy 9 this time.

    A buddy of mine has a low 10sec 340 Duster. It does massive wheelies. Just a street car.

      Nice. Mine has kept the nose down so far. Being a turbo car it has a lot more out the back then 60ft. Hoping to change that a bit next year.

    I think he’s running a little 318SBM, sounds like small black to me shift points to high for a big block

  • @VegasRT500
    @VegasRT500 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Could you share some of your engine and trans combo? Is it a bigblock or small block? What intake manifold, cylinder heads and cam? What turbos did you use and compression ratio?

    • @professormetalhead2763
      @professormetalhead2763  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You don't want to know. Lol. Its a stock 6.0 ls with some baby turbos. Can't afford to build a hemi yet, and the ls was free to me. It will get a built gen3 hemi at a later date but for now its got gm engine and trans.
      I can go into more details if you want but im guessing you want mopar info.

  • @robertscherer4160
    @robertscherer4160 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I can see why you swapped it. I had a conversation at a mopar show about how expensive the mopar stuff is. Probably cost half as much to build right?

    • @michaw1674
      @michaw1674 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      If you want to rely on junkyard pulled engine chevy is cheaper than Mopar. If you build the whole engine and do machine work it all costs almost the same money.

      Agree with this. Mostly. Some day when I get a bit more money I will build a hemi for the car, until then an 8 second swapped car will do.

    Not a mopar

    What engine you running, a 360? If the intake air is getting up to 200 an intercooler would bring that down quite a bit.

    • @professormetalhead2763
      @professormetalhead2763  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Its a 6.0l
      It has a big front mount.
      The intercooler is not real efficient and neither is the turbos. I have changed some things since then and have much lower iat's now.

    • @GrantOakes
      @GrantOakes 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@professormetalhead2763 I'm guessing it's a bored 360. I still think an intercooler will drop the induction air temp at least 60°-70°.

    • @professormetalhead2763
      @professormetalhead2763  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It has a big front mount intercooler, also running water/meth injection now along with the big front mount intercooled it has always had.
      Its a 6.0 ls. The turbos are just fairly inefficient.

      That is a 12" tablet running hptuners scanner setup with the gauges. Works pretty good.
