One big difference from 20 years ago is that you are now a public figure and thieves will come long distance to your nice neighborhood to find the high value vehicles. I really hope you get them back but it’s likely they went some distance and are either re-vinned or stripped for parts.

You were not targeted. They are looking for those cars. They can get in and drive them away with a computer. Shame all those trackers were in the wrong car.
It doesn't seem right to "Like" videos like this but I always do to support the channel, owner. A friend of mine had his Ford truck stolen off his Orlando FL area home driveway and because of that, he learned how crazy easy it is to open the door and break the ignition switch. He had already settled with his insurance company before it was found and he was glad he did, rather than have to deal with the damage that was done to the truck when it WAS found. As crazy as it is, I wish it was OK to "remove a hand" when thieves are caught and confirmed to be thieves...
Someone probably just followed one of the vehicles to your house one day. Car thieves are basically professional locksmiths at this point. They have all the modern gear they need to steal vehicles fast. You need to cover your window VIN plate on all your newer vehicles. Get a locking OBD port covers too. Kill switches wouldn't hurt. Apple Air Tags hidden in places that are hard to find would be helpful too.
It is way easier than that with a relay attack. One person goes close to the house holding a loop antenna that talks to the key fob and then retransmitts the signal to the car. The door opens and the start button is pushed.
if the blacks don't take it directly, the government will take it from you and give it to them anyway. there's no point in doing anything anymore because we can no longer do anything to benefit ourselves. literally everything we do is taken from us to give to outsiders and foreigners.
Wow should of learned something from the first truck . High price vehicles, should of added hidden tracker in both and never tell anyone the location of them
Folks get all up in a nit when an HOA or gated community is mentioned. The hate HOAs blah, blah, blah. This type of theft rarely happens in those communities. That said. It truly saddens my heart for your violation of space and peace. Your hypothesis of who the guilty parties are affiliated with is spot on.
Whoever serviced your vehicle needs to be watched. Someone air tagged your vehicle’s and stole them. Usually they are at the same place. They abandon the vehicle and then go back for it if the police don’t find them.
The feeling of personal invasion is the WORST. I accidentally left my truck unlocked one night and someone during the night got in it. Sat in there and smoked for who knows how long, then took all my tools and change in the console. Stuff is replaceable but man it felt disgusting driving MY truck with it smelling like cigs for weeks and knowing some idiot just got in like they owned it. Thieves need bigger punishment
Every time I get tired of the heat in Texas I see something like this and realize I've got it good. I leave keys in the ignition of cars, shop unlocked, house windows open.
It's crazy. I was really thinking of getting a Trackhawk, but these past 2 years or so, it's gotten insane with how fast anything with a hellcat engine gets stolen these days. And the confidence they have to steal them is unrivaled.
That sucks man, I hope they catch them but the cops telling you to wait a couple days probably gave them enough time to do whatever they wanted to do with those trucks. Hopefully the reward helps get them back.
Sadly, insurance doesn’t ever make up for your loss. If they find it before you get paid out, they even screw you harder and the vehicle is never the same. I’m sorry for your loss Tom.
Inside job of some kind- maybe with the help of a dealership. Thieves had keys made, knew Tom’s address, and assumed he’d be out of town. Huge bummer and hope they find the bastards.
Not likely, these thieves today have the technology and know how to use it. I am going to post a separate comment BUT i wish i could remember the specifics of the TV broadcast here in Canada showing how these thieves steal these autos. It think it was on CBC "The Fifth Estate" or perhaps "Marketplace".
$5k tablet, registration overseas. Dodge doesn't verify re-key code location, it just sees a verified registration to re-key vehicles. Dodge will just send it, no questions asked. GM, no different. Ford requires a Ford tech ID, verification of location of both the vehicle and tablet. Anything off, no re-key code. So you're right, it's definitely an inside job. The manufacturer!!! Never buy a Dodge, problem solved.
I'm only surprised that it took 24 years to have your cars stolen in detroit. It sucks, but it might be time to move to a state where crime is still illegal.
Here in the UK it’s Range Rover and Land Rover being stolen as easy as pie. Broad daylight walking down the street with a laptop open, tapping away and they’re in the vehicle and away… It’s worrying and obviously frustrating that in a week or so trackers would have been fitted. And where they were stored that vehicle wasn’t touched 🤔 Sounds like a leek somewhere or just a big coincidence. Either way I’m very sorry to hear this and I hope for the safe recovery of your vehicles Tom. Keep the faith.
Not necessarily! Theirs these days use hackers! They hack the dmv and the dealerships to get factory keys cut! The dmv hack gives them the personal information required like a copy of drivers license and registration , the dealership hack inputs the required information to order keys and then they take the driver license with a fake picture on it and go pick up the keys! Or they use an emulator and sit at the road and wait till you click the remote, then they intercept the signal and can program their own key fobs! This option requires patience and a stakeout!
It is the wild west, security is about layers. Fence, gate, dog, cameras, driveway cams that capture plates, those modules that block OBD programming tools, kill switches, geofencing etc... You are right about the scouting. Back in the GM days they would just pull the fuse or break the starlink antenna off the roof to kill the system. They prob do the same today or have backpack jammers as well.
tom, chrysler has a security key, we cant even scan chryslers if our software isnt up to date. if they programmed keys for your trucks they had to interface with the vehicle at some point. which means chrysler should at least be able to track down what scanner did it or the owner of said scanner. might be a dead end, but ford and chrysler both require some sort of security access to program keys, and looks like they hit fast so they came already prepared. other chance is they had repeaters. if thats the case idk. from hat i understand, you can get a signal repeater off the dark web that picks up the vehicles key signal and duplicates it. the signal bounces back and forth between car and key, so even if your key is inside the car knows its close. and if its close enough to unlock your doors from inside the house, its close enough for them to pic it up. once that repeater has it the car cant tell the difference. works long enough for them to get it somewhere to do what they are gonna do with it. good luck with this man, i know how you feel. ive been there myself. i know this doesnt help now, but i have a hidden switch that redirects my start signal to the horn relay. they try to start a few times and seems to deter them. that or a kill switch, but you have to be smarter than the theives with tht, they usually know what to look for and exactly how to bypass it.
From what I understand, the PIN number to access the key system expires after a day or so requiring another call to Chrysler. I'm guessing it communicates over sat radio? ( The 99 to ?? systems with a mechanical key / RFID chip just had a 4 digit PIN that never changed )
That is why the man of color scouted up near your house prior in daylight. So he could scan for the key fob to duplicate the key signal it appears to me. They could have earlier dropped an air tag on the vehicle also while out shopping or anywhere. That would pinpoint where the vehicle is parked nightly too. They are pros no doubt. Glad they were located w/ the warrant and recovered.
I leave my windows open while parked in town all the time. No one touches my car . Peace of mind is priceless. Love my 89 Geo Metro . Could I afford better ? Sure could ,but learned to never let someone know your worth . In today's world it's dangerous..
Remote operated 12V relays tied into the fuel pumps is the program. That, along with whatever tracking methods fit your need. Tow trucks, Snatcher Trucks are on the prowl too. I have a friend who installed body shop/frame shop floor mount D rings in his driveway and his trailer and a particular truck are chained down with real thick chain links.

Can't track a car if the sat radio antenna is disconnected. There was a rebuilder vid where someone got a theft recovery and the sat antenna was pulled from the radio to stop tracking.
@@bobroberts2371 That was LegitStreetCars, I saw the same video lol.
@@goblebrotherracing5525exactly cuz they still getting paid either way 😅 and might get paid twice if you buy another one 😅😅
This turned in to a commercial for gps trackers….
I was thinking the same thing.Sorta fishy!
I’m sorry, that sucks. I live in Mexico, one suggestion, DOGS that are light sleepers. I picked a puppy off the street down here he’s a mixed breed, now 75 lbs. and nobody comes here with him loose ever.

Kinda sus…I think we might be getting played here. Had me going until it turned into an infomercial.
My trx was stolen out of my driveway too. I came out in the morning to a dry spot in the fresh rain where my truck used to be. Police found it a few hundred miles away during a raid where they found a dozen of them that had all been completely re-vinned# . They did such a good job on the vins that it took the feds 6 months to verify which truck was even mine and then another 8 months for Chrysler to put all my vins back on it. 4 weeks after I got it back it was stolen again and gone forever.
Holy cow
That's insane
Wow..wtf. I would have written that off after a month or two.
That's insane
@@imsatanscott I'm not being a smartass, I'm generally curious. U leaving your keys in it? Is it locked? I just don't understand how this happends so quick and seemingly easy.
I have had things stolen from my car in front of my house and felt completely violated, so I can't imagine not one, but two cars being stolen! I hope you find those pieces of trash!
Everyday occurrence up here in Canada. The criminals know there is practically zero chance they'll get shot at so they don't even sneak up to your car, they literally park at the end of your driveway and strut right up. There is a guy in Toronto that had two TRX's taken, the second which was the replacement was gone in less than two weeks.
These hi tech thieves also have ways to detect if a vehicle has a tracker on it. That may have been why the cummins didn't get touched. I'm so sorry this happened Tom. As a victim of vehicle theft, that feeling of being violated is something i wouldn't wish on anyone.
You are a target of people who know who you are and that you have high performance vehicles.
I feel your pain Tom. I had 2 trucks stolen out of my driveway back in 2001. It's like a punch in the gut when you realize your vehicle is gone. I never got either one of the trucks back...
One of your adoring local fans no doubt , probably been following you for weeks to find out where you live ti steel you're stuff.
UK viewer here, are those keyless thefts? We got little rfid proof pouches in the post from the car insurer... it's bad everywhere, except Japan and other countries with strict borders and harsh punishments.
Sounds like that’s what we need here. I think I know a guy. 😄
this!
TOM, air tags are CHEAP AS HELL!
They don't work though. They literally report themselves to the thieves and tell you "there is an air tag nearby." This is not a suitable solution.
Well duhhh you’ve gotta hide it well. And I mean REALLY well
My nephew had his camaro stolen. He hid an airtag in it so well that he said it would take me a long time to find it if he told me where it was. The thieves took out the onstar and airtag. They must have a device that pinpoints airtags
@@Calvin-Nelson in my mind, that makes it more likely they’ll ditch the car. I don’t see them stopping on the side of the road to tear the car apart looking for an AirTag.
Im glad you're not relying on the sherrifs to do their job.
It looks like you'll need to install fences and a high security gate, regrettably this will be more common as America devolves into a low trust, high risk society. Tom you might look into what the South African farmers do for home and property security.
IF a country has no borders, then each individual has to make his own border. Sad BUT this is what both political parties want to see in today's America
So sorry my friend… I can completely feel for you as far as feeling violated when it happens at home!!!
What a horrible feeling having something stolen from your property! Yeah, you feel violated.
I wish you the best dealing with it.
Nothing is safe now days, that is why all my stuff gets parking inside, plus big Dog and he hears everything. Good luck getting your vehicles back Tom.
Damn man. More vehicles stolen. I'm sorry to hear that. That absolutely sucks.
They snapped pics of the vins. Then they got the key codes from chrysler through their system, had keys made and that's how they were stolen. It's all traceable from chryslers end. Will they help you?
Keyless entry & push button start on those cars. They use a wireless signal snatcher to get the key code & get into the car & start them.
@@edmelungeon2239 it takes a lot more than that to get these cars. Chrysler can see all this stuff on their end. They clearly don't care to help curb the problem.
In Australia they check for unlocked cars, take the service books out of the glove box, go to a dealer and have keys made. Come back and vehicle gone.
They have device that picks up the frequency from the key faab stores the frequency now their device is the key. They make faraday bags to put your key faabs in to prevent this
Yep, they had a $400 Autel key fob programmer easy as pie once you got the vin….look up Autel km100
Wow!
Besides something happening to your kids, *there's no worse feeling than having your property invaded and stolen* 🤬
It’s definitely someone who’s an acquaintance to someone in your extended circle. They knew the time and knew you didn’t have trackers in them.
No
No they just new it was a dodge and easy to take...
Agree, there is a mole close by
a black sees a dodge, he steals it. it's their natural genetic behavior.
I guess none of you realize that there are 157,000 subs on this channel and countless non subbed viewers.

I pray they aren't at the port already 😬🤞
You didn't post all over the world just how good you got it. Your house, shops , and hangouts and when your home.
jealous much? you're literally glowing green with it. cry harder
I have been in the same situation as you and know the feelings of violation and anger. In 2011 I was setup and had a 1978 Malibu station wagon street/strip machine and an 81 Chevette all out strip car stolen in less than hour in broad daylight while I was away from home. Not wanting to rain on your parade but the local law enforcement never got a single lead or recovered anything. I think the Malibu was stripped of all the goodies in it then crushed and the Chevette was taken out of state and possibly sold on a forged bill of sale.
Very sad that this happens and it really sucks. One big difference from 20 years ago is that you are now a public figure and thieves will come long distance to your nice neighborhood to find the high value vehicles. I really hope you get them back but it’s likely they went some distance and are either re-vinned or stripped for parts.
Not to mention, if dodge wanted to help they could tell you exactly where those cars are right now! Especially on anything that new new like these. I know your pretty tight with dodge so curious if you have reached out to them
First thing the thief does is rip out the GPS antennas.
Thanks for the tip. It is HIGHLY likely I’ll be buying something like this for my project truck when it is drivable and in good enough shape someone would want to steal it.
Sorry for your loss. Good luck in the recovery effort.
You were not targeted. They are looking for those cars. They can get in and drive them away with a computer. Shame all those trackers were in the wrong car.
Sorry to hear of this Tom. I hope you get them back in good shape.
Sorry to hear this brother.
We had the right idea on how to treat horse thieves..
Man I hope you get your cars back. I have thankfully never had a vehicle stolen but a junkie stole my kids atvs and it was a terrible feeling.
Covering the VIN does nothing. You can easily look up VIN from the license plate number.
It is way easier than that with a relay attack. One person goes close to the house holding a loop antenna that talks to the key fob and then retransmitts the signal to the car. The door opens and the start button is pushed.
@@bobroberts2371 You are correct. I totally forgot about the relay attack. More than one way for vehicles to disappear
Sorry to hear. Hope you can get them back.
That’s what you get for working hard and having nice things.
if the blacks don't take it directly, the government will take it from you and give it to them anyway. there's no point in doing anything anymore because we can no longer do anything to benefit ourselves. literally everything we do is taken from us to give to outsiders and foreigners.
Wow should of learned something from the first truck . High price vehicles, should of added hidden tracker in both and never tell anyone the location of them
This sucks. Someone has definitely been scoping those cars out 🤦♂️
Anything Hellcat powered just seems like a liability to be stolen.
Unfortunately they are probably already in a sea can headed over seas,or getting chopped up somewhere local.Good luck I hope I'm wrong!
Damm! Sorry for your loss!
Whoever serviced your vehicle needs to be watched. Someone air tagged your vehicle’s and stole them. Usually they are at the same place. They abandon the vehicle and then go back for it if the police don’t find them.
Sorry for your trouble.
It's not the Amazon or Door Dash Drivers, it's your TH-cam channel.
I have had things stolen out of my driveway.. That Hurts Brother.. OUCH.. Hope you get the Truck & Car Back..
It's a sad world we live in Tom.
Two months ago, an Oakland county sheriff tried to follow one of these stolen vehicles into Detroit and lost his life. 20,000 dollars isn't enough.
whatever it costs to rid our society of blacks is 100% worth it. there is no other option, frankly. it's either that or we don't have a future.
I hate you have to keep going through this stuff! Hope you find them. You are so right about the spotters!
here in canada the time you call the police they are in a container
Every time I get tired of the heat in Texas I see something like this and realize I've got it good. I leave keys in the ignition of cars, shop unlocked, house windows open.
Very convenient plug for your trackers...
Wow, that's got to be a bad feeling. Sorry Tom. Hope they get caught.
Almost think it's a inside Job. Someone knows something. How convenient 😮😮
Well I mean he is YT famous for his Cars so any shady Chop shop could fine him with due diligence 💯 sad but true
No, they can steal the transmitter signal from your key and clone it on theit device.
Dang that is crazy. However seeing the cars that were stolen i see why it happened to you. It is a unsettling time we live in.
I'm only surprised that it took 24 years to have your cars stolen in detroit. It sucks, but it might be time to move to a state where crime is still illegal.
@@THEmadmikeismad it only takes less than 1 year if it's a hellcat
Agree Brother now all these people in our neighborhoods that would have never been there to see a Resident its Crazy 😢
Keep them in the truck, they will be back for it. The 2 stolen will be in containers already most likely going overseas.
@@Lovelacecolin they’re stripped down at chop shops and sold for parts every single one of them. It’s crazy how much hellcat and TRX stuff is on eBay.
Here in the UK it’s Range Rover and Land Rover being stolen as easy as pie. Broad daylight walking down the street with a laptop open, tapping away and they’re in the vehicle and away…
It’s worrying and obviously frustrating that in a week or so trackers would have been fitted. And where they were stored that vehicle wasn’t touched 🤔
Sounds like a leek somewhere or just a big coincidence.
Either way I’m very sorry to hear this and I hope for the safe recovery of your vehicles Tom.
Keep the faith.
It’s a friend of yours. 100%
Sorry to hear, that really sucks.
Time to store your key fobs in a faraday box, thieves are using stolen key fob programmers that can pick up your fobs indoors.
You’re calling them Sick Trackers, well I guess I won’t be getting one
No one asked bud
I'm sorry this happend to you. Having any of this type of stuff happen at home is very violating. I hope you get your trucks back.
That sucks, sorry dude ,it's usually someone you know and they know what you have...
tom, chrysler has a security key, we cant even scan chryslers if our software isnt up to date. if they programmed keys for your trucks they had to interface with the vehicle at some point. which means chrysler should at least be able to track down what scanner did it or the owner of said scanner. might be a dead end, but ford and chrysler both require some sort of security access to program keys, and looks like they hit fast so they came already prepared. other chance is they had repeaters. if thats the case idk. from hat i understand, you can get a signal repeater off the dark web that picks up the vehicles key signal and duplicates it. the signal bounces back and forth between car and key, so even if your key is inside the car knows its close. and if its close enough to unlock your doors from inside the house, its close enough for them to pic it up. once that repeater has it the car cant tell the difference. works long enough for them to get it somewhere to do what they are gonna do with it. good luck with this man, i know how you feel. ive been there myself. i know this doesnt help now, but i have a hidden switch that redirects my start signal to the horn relay. they try to start a few times and seems to deter them. that or a kill switch, but you have to be smarter than the theives with tht, they usually know what to look for and exactly how to bypass it.
Sorry Tom but thanks for putting out that APB. Least this will do is help someone else prevent this from happening.
My wife and I know your pain. We have been trying to justice for 4.5 years.
