      That’s the realest hypocrisy to watch with all the companies that have switched lately…. But you’ve called it affiliate marketing for years so what’s the big deal?? The top leaders who have kicked their feet up & let the tens of thousands roll up from the bottom for years are screwed. They’re actually gonna have to work as hard as they pretend to && STILL it’s past the point of creating & sustaining even years worth of that success in MLM. Parties over, might as well quit while you’re ahead & get a 9-5😂 or wait til you run out of money.

    I feel it’s a bit ironic that the reason the companies are going to affiliate pay is because they do all of their business through social media and it’s cheaper to pay affiliates than pay commissions.

    • @violettefemme21
      @violettefemme21 29 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Yeah, I think they are realizing that they have a high price point for all the commissions for all the levels of the pyramid.. and if they cut out a ton of that they can save a lot of money and just pay for their own marketing. Things were different in the days of Mary Kay or Tupperware and having parties was a different form of marketing for these companies then what they could just do themselves.

    Ok… the weirdest thing to me in all this is these “top coaches” always seemed to show off how rich they were (millionaires) so why are they so desperate to keep doing this??? If they’re so rich can’t they ‘retire’?? Just seems like they weren’t making as much as they wanted us to believe

      Or they are greedy. They will find some other MLM to join. I have an acquaintance that was in Rodan and Fields. When they stopped being an MLM, she switched to a different MLM because “the best part of her job was leading a team, building women up and helping them be successful” and she would not longer be able to do that at R and F.

    These top earners are only upset because it's now "fair" to everyone who joins. Everyone who joins will be treated the same. And they can't make tons of money by stealing it from their huge downlines anymore. If this was ever about the products, this would be a good thing for them. And for over 90% of the company, it is. Those people will not make a lot of money but they will make some from selling the products, and probably more than they ever made in the MLM, without having to spend it all to make their minimum purchase requirements, website fees, etc. I can't wait to see all MLMs crumble!

    Not for nothing, but I was a BODi partner and my main takeaways are the following. Anyone who signs your check besides you, you’re at that person’s mercy. In other words, you did not have a business. You are a contractor, subject to whatever rules, regulations, terms, or conditions that the person signing the check puts in front of you. That being said, it surprises me that any of the top partners is complaining that 95% of their income is being taken away by this change. I would think that over the years they would develop a certain business acumen that secured several streams of income. I am also surprised that they didn’t develop an email list for the customers and that they’re so concerned that their customers ‘would go away“ and that neglected to build in certain business basic systems that reflected what they built over a decade. This is truly surprising. The people I feel bad for the most is the 33% of BODi employees that lost their jobs last week. Let’s say a prayer for them.

    A. Looks like a bunch of them probably need to stop saying that network marketing (aka mlm) and affiliate marketing are the same thing. Otherwise, why would ya'll be fleeing with the switch to the affiliate model, eh hun? 😂
    B. Beachbody was just starting to get big and really well known with both P90X and Insanity all over commercials- even I used to do it with my friends as a teenager- right before they became an MLM. I think finally and at last they're definitely seeing that they made the wrong choice big time by choosing that business model.
    Imagine how huge the company would probably be if they'd gone with actually training coaches and opening gyms? There would be likely be BODI brand gyms all over the place.
    Instead they're a failing company that suffers from a terrible brand image due to anti-mlm being so successful, and now they're having to try to scrape themselves up off the ground with the help of affiliates. 🤦

    • @dahliacheung6020
      @dahliacheung6020 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      C. Also, my eyes definitely got wide when that one rep said that she was fortunate her husband _had stayed working the whole time_ meaning she didn't retire her husband like they all say they want to, meaning they have a safe additional income stream to insulate them from the effects of situations such as the mlm closing down.
      Think of all the other huns at the top of the company with her who _did_ "retire" their husbands. They're certainly among the ones who are immediately making these leaps over to other mlms so they can keep making money and not have to worry about suddenly being without a paycheck. Meanwhile this hun whose husband still works a real job is talking about how she wants to wait and think and pray so she can make sure she's doing the right thing.
      Hmm... I wonder what gives her the privilege to be able to do that!? 🤦

    My guess is a lot of the top earners spent a lot to be flashy and flex how much money they make. I hope I am wrong. I worked in the Title industry when the housing market crashed in 2008. So many of the real estate agents I knew spent almost every damn cent they made. Cars trips boats etc. I would be scared too if this is how I behaved.

    The Monat rep telling people not to let someone from another country decide how much money you make… it’s giving racism. To me it sounds like she’s talking about working for big, international companies where the owners are based elsewhere.

    Also, these girls make 500K to $1M a year in this business… not $100K. They are their family’s income! This was a huge blow!

    11:10 I think it's so off-putting when people swear this much, but ESPECIALLY when this person is supposed to be some sort of business leader.

    She knows she could build it up again but why do that with an mlm. And if she knew it could be ripped away ar anytime why be shocked.

      Unfortunately I have adhd and take pauses/ forget what I’m saying mid sentence a lot. I also cut out any “ums”, deep breaths that can be heard on the mic etc because I think they sounds worse than just cutting them out!

    Oh my goodness! All of these coaches to be sooo cringe, unauthentic & superficial!
    I have to say, I disagree..I don’t know why, but O was thinking just the opposite. I didn’t find the one coach (or any of them actually) to be good speakers or very convincing. It actually made me want to run the other way.

    Chalene Johnson had an excellent take. I do love Beach Body. I’ve been doing their programs some Slim in Six in 2005. I love all their programs. I’m excited it’s changing. I’ve been at the wayyyyy bottom of the BB MLM.

    Many of the top reps are already heading over to other MLMs. There's one though that has gone full scorched earth on the company, and she isn't holding back about how she actually was not happy at all in Beachbody.
