Excellent- I learned a lot. I’ve driven through Keadby thousands of times over the years, but knew nothing of the three rivers. The old power station was a huge landmark with its three tall chimneys.
My Grandad Terry was the lock keeper at Keadby for years - there’s a corner bungalow further down the road that came with the job. We used to visit in the summer and he’d let us press the button for the swing bridge.
Last time I was there I was round the new houses side where the park is doing pest control under that side of the bridge its 3.500 tons ballast tanks weigh 2.000 alone one man can raise it in 40 seconds
Another good video. Was probably wise not to try and visit Derrythorpe tbh, there's a couple of things down there a poultry farm and a little roadside stall selling produce I believe. You certainly wouldn't have walked it, driving it's about 3 miles and you end up in West Butterwick.
KEADBY WITH ALTHORPE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

brilliant thanks Andy
You're welcome 😁

Gotta be honest, before making this,I knew nothing of them either, but they make a lot of sense when you consider why they exist
