I was one of the organisers for WCA competition in Bangalore and I can tell you that I have never seen children of age 4-13 compete for something so passionately and the best thing is that you actually get inspired by seeing their dedication and the speed to solve the cubes. I recored a solve of sub 3 seconds for a PYRAMINX and I was blown. This is a much needed documentary to make people realise that their are events other that ground sports and which require equal amount of dedication and hardwork. Kudos to Netflix on doing this... First the Spelling Bee and now this. Amazing job.

as cuber i feel like this is something that this "industry" needs, just people having fun solving a puzzle, always learning, always pushing themselves harder
This documentary is a gem. So special in many ways! I'd never thought that a documentary about speedcubers would teach me that much about competition, family, friendship, belonging, wining, losing, empathy. I had to tear up watching it! I truly fell in love with Max's parents, and of course Max and Felix. Now I really understand there is a spot that god created in the realm of competition to make us grow as human beings, to make us stronger, to make us connect to our competitors. The podium is what competition is about but it's way more than the podium. This is a huge life lesson that we can learn from Max & Felix .
One thing to clear up for non-speedcubers. When they say it takes 3 hours for a person to solve their first Rubik's cube, they mean 3 hours when watching (or reading) a tutorial. Solving it intuitively would take months of dedication.
This was a beautiful documentary. Thank you Netflix for showing the world of uncommon hobbies and shedding light on ASD. As someone who knows an autistic person very closely, this was very emotional and heartwarming.
This show was so amazing! My daughters family sat me down and we all watched it together. You see, my 5 year old Grandson Rasheem is Autistic. He has the same ticks as Max has and we laughed, cried and fell in love with this documentary. The special bound between Max and Felix was so beautiful and I truly hope and pray that when my grandson is older. He has a Felix in his life. I can not speak enough about this Doco!!!

Watched this not having any idea what it was other than speed cube solving and that Netflix wanted me to look at it. Made my on-the-spectrum child and the other come watch for a few minutes, expecting them to wow over the competition for about 4 mins, then wander off. We all go sucked into it, and Max's story and parents made me tear up. Feliks comes off as a sweet bloke as well, and i wish them all the best! Really feel-good without being overly sappy.

I watched this last month and it inspired me to finally realize one of my lifelong dreams of learning how to completely solve a cube. I had my first unassisted solve a couple days ago and have done it a couple dozen times since then. Thanks to the makers of this documentary and thanks to all the speed cubers out there!
I don't know when it happened, but there was this one guy in my German class (and several other classes too) who was getting into cubing. Them his friend who is also in some of my other classes and also in German with us started to get into cubing. Now they both compete and bring cubes to class (when we used to have class). It became a little subculture in our German class since we were the only one of our level in German, so we all became close as a class, and cubing got a special place in our German class.
This film was a masterpiece. It got a friend of mine into cubing which got me into cubing. The film was beyond well done and has converted at least two people into cubers so I think it ms safe to say it was well done enough to introduce the hobby to a new audience.

It's even better, Google Earth doesn't cover Area 51 if you zoom too much 😄
@@DarkH4X0 Just like Netflix doesn't cover the live sports events😃😃😃
@@skkharwas you're right! Both have to improve. Rate 8/10 😄😄
Netflix has the shows you
Actually WANT To See.
@@DarkH4X0 It's good that it's 8/10, otherwise monopoly is bad for everyone.
A must watch! I cried through the film without expecting to. Excellent directing, 40 min flew by like 10 min. It was like watching a movie 🎥

Is it weird I was expecting some kind of conspiracy? The dark under belly of the speed cubing world? This was surprisingly wholesome
Lol, if there's anything I don't expect a conspiracy theory about it's Rubik's cubes.
I am a speedcuber and I gotta tell you right now, there is literally nothing like that and we are all just having fun and challenging ourselves.
So yes, while this seems like a drama, it is not lol. This is not Tiger King or nothin xD
that's part two...
Great movie
I can't wait ! Thank you Netflix !
Netflix: An average persons takes about 3hrs to solve their first Rubik's cube.
Me: It took me almost 3 days to solve my first Rubik's cube. Cut to now I take only 30-40secs to solve it. But anyways I am not a speed cuber just an enthusiast.
Looking forward for watching this documentary
@Qboid yes I will definitely!
@Qboid yup ik about it. You have to register on the website to get a global cube tag or something
So excited for this movie! I just solved my first Rubik's cube earlier this week and they are also raising autism awareness! Can't wait to watch this!!
If you are a cuber watching this then prove it
Edit: My comments are doing well I hope my channel did as well as the comments lol
Sambhav Bhalla look at my yt as proof
