I like the way Yumna handled the question about how in films a certain level of 'boldness' is expected and normal. She was so right when she said we should be promoting our culture of dressing etc rather than what India does, loved her answer.

I agree that bwood is not that great but there is a difference b/w nudity and vulgarity.. titanic had a nude scene and it wasnt vulgar.. its also art.. the problem lies in people who think seeing a little bit of skin is vulgar..

@@sakinaazim276 the director of titanic didnt put that scene to attract audience and the target audience of movies like titanic dont go to the theater to watch that particular scene and they dont see nudity as vulgarity..
I have been to film festivals and i didnt feel uncomfortable watching intimate scenes or nude scenes in theater because it was not shot in a vulgar way.. some of the double meaning jokes in bwood movies were more uncomfortable in theater than those intimate or nude scenes

Mahjabeen is a simpleton who has a simple mother too and the school girls didn’t like to interact with her much due to her dumbness. She is also not shown to have access to social media. These could be reasons for her naivety towards matters of pregnancy.

Yumna and Ahmed’s chemistry in yeh raha dil was 🔥 🔥 🔥. You need to get past the first two episodes because the female character played by Yumna is a little OTT initially but then settles down to become very enduring. A beautiful pure love story that we rarely see these days .

I have seen many people like Mahjabeen who r very naive , innocent , no fliter .My Aunts one sister is like that and her husband is also like her .They have kids too .
I think it’s normal that she does not know how one gets pregnant. This happened a while ago but when my mom had my sister, I was 11 years old. Ladies who came to visit the newborn would always ask if she was going to bottle feed the baby or her own milk. I was very confident that if my mom had her own ‘milk business’ then why do we get a doodh Wala in the morning where grandma (daadi) complains that he is adding too much water in the milk!! When I had asked that question out loud, you can imagine the look 👀 I had!! And lots of laughs!! 🤪❤️🍼🥛

What an entertaining interview! Amna it’s always a treat to watch you ask a variety of intelligently structured questions from our celebrities. Just like your viewers ,Yumna was also not expecting the offscreen chemistry wala question from you 😊 but even that felt right and non offensive coming from you. One thing I want to add, in all her interviews ,whenever Yumna talks about her character Sila from the drama dar see jatee hy Sila, her eyes sparkle with joy and pride and yet it saddens me that you and Hassan have not seen that master piece of acting from her as you never respond or react to that reference . Please watch it . Her performance in it made an everlasting emotional imprint on my soul.😭 I wish she gets recognition for the amazing work she has done in the past as well.

Yumna is so right abt our films. Most are inspired from Bollywood whether we admit or not. All glamour, no story, dance sequences that don't usually relate to the story. Nabeel Qureshi films are perhaps the only exception as they have good content and look like a film.
Miracle in cell no. 7 is truly an art movie. Most turkish, spanish and Iranian movies have good content, but unfortunately we don't make movies like those.

I first saw Yummna in Zara Yaad kar, and loved her character. She's such an amazing and versatile actress, such a pleasure to listen to her speak as a person too. She's absolutely right when she says Pakistani don't follow or promote their culture, we always look to see who we can copy. Family movies and entertainment is such a bonus to enjoy. I too watched 'miracle in cell number 7' and so good to be able to keep yourself in the boundaries of decency/modesty.
I hope we get to see Yumna play many more different characters in different stories too than the normal run of the mill that you get to see some other actresses do as they churn out the crying , pathetic woe is me roles.
