yumna zaidi deserves this appreciation bcz the character which she performed was not easy to perform as it makes us cry while being "bongi". any character can either makes u cry or laugh but this character did both jobs. even my daughter who Is just 4 years old; she does not watch dramas at all as she is too young for this but she just clicked to mahjabeen as she attracted her although she didn't watch whole drama but whenever while playing she saw yumna on screen she shouts "oh mahjabeen aa gayi" . and thn she gets busy in her work but she. knew only one actress on TV and that is mahjabeen "yumna". yumna, bilal and adnan samad Khan's awards are well deserved.
Not sure why there’s such a hue and cry surrounding Yumna’s win over Sajal. Mahjabeen’s character was really hard to play given how it could have easily become an annoying caricature of sorts. Yet Yumna managed to brilliantly pull off the character’s innocence and naivety without overdoing any of it. The viewers saw this and so did the critics. Therefore well deserved win in my opinion.
Have you watched Yeh dil mera and alif? How maturely she’s portraying her characters and both characters are entirley different from each other. We are not offend by Yumna but Sajal didn’t get what she deserved.
Sajal is definitely a great actress but Yumna totally deserved these awards more than anyone. She played Mahjabeen incredibly without going overboard. I do wish Ahad had won an award too though. He was phenomenal as Amaan. But Bilal’s award was also deserving. Yumna and Sajal have always been my favorites. Both have huge fan following. I personally think people have started to get annoyed in a sense with Sajal’s fandom that they would rather not vote for her. I think it’s because Sajal (and Sahad) fandom go on a rant about even constructive criticism and/or if anyone else wins an award rather than them and completely disregard their fellow colleagues (actors).
I think Yumna's Mahjabeen totally deserved the award...It was a very hard role to play while Sajal is a prolific actor but her Momina was a character that has been seen in many other dramas as well.Alif's overall script was strong but yumna totally deserved her award for portraying Mahjabeen with such bubbly innocence without being a source of annoyance. Imo Ahad really did deserve the award for Ye dil mera but his votes got divided.

Yumnas votes were not divided because Mahjabeen was waaaayyyy ahead of the other role in Raaze ulfat. So all the fans voted for Pyar kay Sadqay. The votes for Ahad were divided because on one hand ehde wafa was immensely popular and on the other hand the pairing of Sajal and Ahad and his performance in Ye dil mera was also hugely appreciated even if ratings weren’t there for drama.Danish also benefitted from his recent popularity in Ishq Hai.

An actor can be popular and critically acclaimed at the same time. That is exactly the case with Yumna. Her Mahajabeen was people's favourite and her portrayal of the character was appreciated by the critics unanimously. Similarly, Sajal's nomination in both the categories was totally justified. She undoubtedly is one of the most popular actress from Pakistan and her role of Momina was critically acclaimed too. Why should they not be nominated in both the categories when they totally deserve it? As for Yumna's double win, I coudn't be happier for my girl. Her fans voted for her and got her the popular award and critics chose her for the critics category. She totally deserved both the awards!!

Excellent performances in their both plays. I have seen some brillent actors nominated many times in award shows but they donot get awards. I think acting awards should be like fashion awards, Actors should be nominated for all the work they have done in a year. This way, we can have more actors nominated and be fair to each and everyone and as Amna said, the division of votes would also be fair. I would be happier if Ahad won the popular award. But Yumna deserves both the awards and this is coming from everyone even her contemporaries. Remember yumna didn't even get a nomination for Dar Si jati hai Sila and Noman Ijaz won for the same drama and later she got Hum Award for the same drama but she's been sidelined a lot. So let her enjoy her win wholeheartedly especially when she has dared to play and then nail a character that no one would've opted in the first place. Ofc I know and acknowledge that Sajal was great as Momina (loved her) but her competition was tougher and she obv can't win every year. That said Mawra and Kubra gave very strong performances this year so if anything we should be upset for them as well. But let it be the year of Yumna, she literally made our lockdown and the whole year a lot better.

When iqra Aziz can win two awards for her over the top performance in suno Chanda, why can't yumna? And simply, yumna was better than sajal. Yes sajal is supremely talented and may be a notch higher than yumna in playing such roles that she did in Alif and yeh Dil Mera but again yumna is definitely a notch higher than anyone in playing a mahjabeen which is more difficult to portray. Simple! PISA has actually solved the issue of an actor getting two awards though by not nominating an actor in both categories and this is such a bloody good idea to resolve all such conflicts and for that, credit goes to Aamna and Hassan mostly!

She got the LSA award of best actresses for pyare afzal .But she also does a lot of dramas where her roles are pretty generic.And let's be honest in terms of acting yumna and sajal are better than her.I think ayeza needs to experiment a bit more.

In my opinion, ‘recency effect’ has made all the difference in people’s minds when it came to voting for popular awards. As a TV viewer and a person who loves watching the reviews on TH-cam I haven’t heard of or seen Ahad’s or Sajal’s recent work (barring the hype of Ishq e Laa and Sinf e Ahan, where the glory has been shared by more than two characters and they haven’t gone on air as yet). Their game, as pointed out many a times on many digital entertainment portals, is much bigger or more international. This does take away from local votes who have been consistently watching Yumna and Bilal’s work on TV unlike Ahad/Sajal’s work.
So, I will have to say I believe both awards deserved to go to yumna, that girl's acting in PKS, OMG it took my breath away. Sajal's acting in Alif compared w/ Mahjabeen's, I can imagine someone else playing Momina's character but I cannot imagine anyone else playing Mahjabeen. Yumna's scope to act in that drama was fantastic, she and bilal both made that drama a super hit. Also, Bilal was super deserving as well. I do think that Danish Taimoor did not deserve an award, his acting was cringe as hell in deewangi, I think ahmed ali akbar from ehd e wafa should've won Also, am I the only one that didn't really find Ahad's acting in Ehd E Wafa as any good? To me every other male actor did better tbh
I think Sajal could have played mahjabeen but yumna was no doubt made excellent efforts. Momina charactaer was a treat to watch as all emotions were engaged to audience. Yumna’s innocence face made her to win. Surely there was tough competition between these two but Sajal should’ve got one….
@@amirsiddique3920 I'm gonna have to disagree with u on this one. I have seen some of Sajal's dramas where she plays this bubbly girl similar to mahjabeen and it came off as EXTREMELY annoying. There's a reason zanjabeel said she wants only yumna to play this character, she brought a written character so accurately into reality that we can pinpoint who in our family is the mahjabeen of our family.
I am glad there are other viewers below who think like me on this issue. Yumna Zaidi: in the popular award she won by fair votes she got. I don’t know how this could be questioned. Her performance in Pyar ke Sadqay for the year in question was top notch. I don’t see any one questioning that. Hassan as disclosed during this video was part of the jury and she got the max votes so not sure what’s the issue. If you feel Sajal should have won (and she is an outstanding actor) then all the votes should have gone in that direction. I personally didn’t watch Alief so can’t comment. Danish Taimoor: He won the popular award by fair votes by the audience so what’s the issue then. I tend to agree with Hassan in general but it appears in this case he doesn’t agree with the way people voted. Well! That’s how people voted and hence the verdict! I don’t think the argument of vote got divided for Ahad is a logical one as Amna pointed it didn’t do so for Yumna! Also by this logic, onus of Ahad not winning is again put on audience. I personally don’t think is right. Bilal Abbas/Ahad Raza Mir: the winner of the critics choice award was picked by Jury so if Ahad didn’t win onus is on the Jury! Personally if I were a member of jury I would have voted for Ahad considering the roles and amount of screen space he had in both the nominations. Bilal Abbas Khan in general a great actor but Pyar ke Sadqay was all about Mahajabeen and except for last or so episode(s) he didn’t even have much of screen space. ➡️ the reason why I wanted to share my thoughts cos I feel all this hue n cry is taking away from how deserving Yumna is. One after another such tough roles and her outstanding performances. she is finally getting her due. Her Dil na Umeed to nahi if I recall didn’t have any nominations. I think the popular actress award went rightly to yumna. mahjabeen was a much more watched and liked character in comparison to momina. Also mahjabeen's brilliant portrayal was very easily recognizable by general public due the kind of character it was. In critics category, it was an extremely tough call between Yumna and Sajal. While mahjabeen was an ICONIC character played brilliantly by yumna, sajal was also exceptional in her portrayal of a very deep, measured and restrained character like momina. Both of them deserved an award. But mil tu aik ko hi sakta hai... I equally like yumna and sajal. both are extremely talented. But yes I would have been more happy if they both had won!
What's the problem with Yumna winning both awards. Sajal is a fine actress. But Yumna did a great job with a tough role. Mahjabeen was a far far more complex character than Momina Sultan.... no two ways about that.

Not sure why there’s such a hue and cry surrounding Yumna’s win over Sajal. Mahjabeen’s character was really hard to play given how it could have easily become an annoying caricature of sorts. Yet Yumna managed to brilliantly pull off the character’s innocence and naivety without overdoing any of it.
The viewers saw this and so did the critics. Therefore well deserved win in my opinion.

Sajal is definitely a great actress but Yumna totally deserved these awards more than anyone. She played Mahjabeen incredibly without going overboard. I do wish Ahad had won an award too though. He was phenomenal as Amaan. But Bilal’s award was also deserving.
Yumna and Sajal have always been my favorites. Both have huge fan following. I personally think people have started to get annoyed in a sense with Sajal’s fandom that they would rather not vote for her. I think it’s because Sajal (and Sahad) fandom go on a rant about even constructive criticism and/or if anyone else wins an award rather than them and completely disregard their fellow colleagues (actors).
I think Yumna's Mahjabeen totally deserved the award...It was a very hard role to play while Sajal is a prolific actor but her Momina was a character that has been seen in many other dramas as well.Alif's overall script was strong but yumna totally deserved her award for portraying Mahjabeen with such bubbly innocence without being a source of annoyance. Imo Ahad really did deserve the award for Ye dil mera but his votes got divided.

Yumnas votes were not divided because Mahjabeen was waaaayyyy ahead of the other role in Raaze ulfat. So all the fans voted for Pyar kay Sadqay. The votes for Ahad were divided because on one hand ehde wafa was immensely popular and on the other hand the pairing of Sajal and Ahad and his performance in Ye dil mera was also hugely appreciated even if ratings weren’t there for drama.Danish also benefitted from his recent popularity in Ishq Hai.

An actor can be popular and critically acclaimed at the same time. That is exactly the case with Yumna. Her Mahajabeen was people's favourite and her portrayal of the character was appreciated by the critics unanimously. Similarly, Sajal's nomination in both the categories was totally justified. She undoubtedly is one of the most popular actress from Pakistan and her role of Momina was critically acclaimed too. Why should they not be nominated in both the categories when they totally deserve it? As for Yumna's double win, I coudn't be happier for my girl. Here's the point to be noted is that in case of Yumna she was nominated for Raaz_e_ulfat and Pyar ke sadqe. Pyar ke Sadqe was much more popular as compared to Raaz_e_ulfat. That was the reason her votes didn't got divided. Where as in case of Ahad, he was nominated for Yeh dil mera and Ehdewafa. Both were hit drama's of 2020. People loved him equally as Amaan and Saad. For the viewer's it was actually hard to choose between Saad and Amaan.🖤💞 So his votes got divided.

I think acting awards should be like fashion awards, Actors should be nominated for all the work they have done in a year. I would be happier if Ahad won the popular award. But Yumna deserves both the awards and this is coming from everyone even her contemporaries.
Remember yumna didn't even get a nomination for Dar Si jati hai Sila and Noman Ijaz won for the same drama and later she got Hum Award for the same drama but she's been sidelined a lot. So let her enjoy her win wholeheartedly especially when she has dared to play and then nail a character that no one would've opted in the first place. Ofc I know and acknowledge that Sajal was great as Momina (loved her) but her competition was tougher and she obv can't win every year. That said Mawra and Kubra gave very strong performances this year so if anything we should be upset for them as well. When iqra Aziz can win two awards for her over the top performance in suno Chanda, why can't yumna? And simply, yumna was better than sajal. Yes sajal is supremely talented and may be a notch higher than yumna in playing such roles that she did in Alif and yeh Dil Mera but again yumna is definitely a notch higher than anyone in playing a mahjabeen which is more difficult to portray. Simple! PISA has actually solved the issue of an actor getting two awards though by not nominating an actor in both categories and this is such a bloody good idea to resolve all such conflicts and for that, credit goes to Aamna and Hassan mostly!

Yumna deserves all awards
In my opinion, ‘recency effect’ has made all the difference in people’s minds when it came to voting for popular awards. As a TV viewer and a person who loves watching the reviews on TH-cam I haven’t heard of or seen Ahad’s or Sajal’s recent work (barring the hype of Ishq e Laa and Sinf e Ahan, where the glory has been shared by more than two characters and they haven’t gone on air as yet). Their game, as pointed out many a times on many digital entertainment portals, is much bigger or more international. This does take away from local votes who have been consistently watching Yumna and Bilal’s work on TV unlike Ahad/Sajal’s work.

So, I will have to say I believe both awards deserved to go to yumna, that girl's acting in PKS, OMG it took my breath away. Sajal's acting in Alif compared w/ Mahjabeen's, I can imagine someone else playing Momina's character but I cannot imagine anyone else playing Mahjabeen. Yumna's scope to act in that drama was fantastic, she and bilal both made that drama a super hit. Also, Bilal was super deserving as well. There's a reason zanjabeel said she wants only yumna to play this character, she brought a written character so accurately into reality that we can pinpoint who in our family is the mahjabeen of our family.

Yumna Zaidi: in the popular award she won by fair votes she got. I don’t know how this could be questioned. Her performance in Pyar ke Sadqay for the year in question was top notch. I don’t see any one questioning that.
Hassan as disclosed during this video was part of the jury and she got the max votes so not sure what’s the issue. If you feel Sajal should have won (and she is an outstanding actor) then all the votes should have gone in that direction. I personally didn’t watch Alief so can’t comment.
Danish Taimoor: He won the popular award by fair votes by the audience so what’s the issue then. I tend to agree with Hassan in general but it appears in this case he doesn’t agree with the way people voted. Well! That’s how people voted and hence the verdict! I don’t think the argument of vote got divided for Ahad is a logical one as Amna pointed it didn’t do so for Yumna! Also by this logic, onus of Ahad not winning is again put on audience. I personally don’t think is right.
Bilal Abbas/Ahad Raza Mir: the winner of the critics choice award was picked by Jury so if Ahad didn’t win onus is on the Jury!
Personally if I were a member of jury I would have voted for Ahad considering the roles and amount of screen space he had in both the nominations. Bilal Abbas Khan in general a great actor but Pyar ke Sadqay was all about Mahajabeen and except for last or so episode(s) he didn’t even have much of screen space.

I think the popular actress award went rightly to yumna. mahjabeen was a much more watched and liked character in comparison to momina. Also mahjabeen's brilliant portrayal was very easily recognizable by general public due the kind of character it was.
In critics category, it was an extremely tough call between Yumna and Sajal. While mahjabeen was an ICONIC character played brilliantly by yumna, sajal was also exceptional in her portrayal of a very deep, measured and restrained character like momina. The awkward moment when Amna excuses her poor outfit choices in every situation as being a fashion critic, but when it comes to other celebrities, she rips them apart. Unke lye bhi hojata ha just like apke lye bhi hojata ha madam :)
Just focus on her body type then you will realize , she critics other celebrities look because they have that kind of body type and they experiment looks but she didn't

Ahad was good in ye dil mera but his performance in ehde wafa was a mediocre one. In my opinion in Ehde wafa Ahmad Ali akbar was the best among the four leading boys in drama. I m glad that yumna has won both the awards,I voted for her. She was phenomenal in PKS
