yumna zaidi deserves this appreciation bcz the character which she performed was not easy to perform as it makes us cry while being "bongi". any character can either makes u cry or laugh but this character did both jobs.
even my daughter who Is just 4 years old; she does not watch dramas at all as she is too young for this but she just clicked to mahjabeen as she attracted her
although she didn't watch whole drama but whenever while playing she saw yumna on screen she shouts "oh mahjabeen aa gayi" . and thn she gets busy in her work but she. knew only one actress on TV and that is mahjabeen "yumna".

Very well deserved awards won by Yumna and Bilal. Both were phenomenol in their characters.
Not sure why there’s such a hue and cry surrounding Yumna’s win over Sajal. Mahjabeen’s character was really hard to play given how it could have easily become an annoying caricature of sorts. Yet Yumna managed to brilliantly pull off the character’s innocence and naivety without overdoing any of it.
The viewers saw this and so did the critics. Therefore well deserved win in my opinion.

Have you watched Yeh dil mera and alif? How maturely she’s portraying her characters and both characters are entirley different from each other. We are not offend by Yumna but Sajal didn’t get what she deserved.
Even yumna zaidi is being recognized 'now' after so many years.. She has done a lot of gud work in previous years as well
Inkaar, Pinjra, UBFN and so many other performances of Yumna in Amna Mufti scripts have been ignored

Yumna deserves all the awards in the world. I don't get why it should be a bone of contention.
Sajal is definitely a great actress but Yumna totally deserved these awards more than anyone. She played Mahjabeen incredibly without going overboard. I do wish Ahad had won an award too though. He was phenomenal as Amaan. But Bilal’s award was also deserving.
Yumna and Sajal have always been my favorites. Both have huge fan following. I personally think people have started to get annoyed in a sense with Sajal’s fandom that they would rather not vote for her. I think it’s because Sajal (and Sahad) fandom go on a rant about even constructive criticism and/or if anyone else wins an award rather than them and completely disregard their fellow colleagues (actors).

An actor can be popular and critically acclaimed at the same time. That is exactly the case with Yumna. Her Mahajabeen was people's favourite and her portrayal of the character was appreciated by the critics unanimously. Similarly, Sajal's nomination in both the categories was totally justified. She undoubtedly is one of the most popular actress from Pakistan and her role of Momina was critically acclaimed too. Why should they not be nominated in both the categories when they totally deserve it? As for Yumna's double win, I coudn't be happier for my girl. Her fans voted for her and got her the popular award and critics chose her for the critics category. She totally deserved both the awards!!

I think Yumna's Mahjabeen totally deserved the award...It was a very hard role to play while Sajal is a prolific actor but her Momina was a character that has been seen in many other dramas as well.Alif's overall script was strong but yumna totally deserved her award for portraying Mahjabeen with such bubbly innocence without being a source of annoyance. Imo Ahad really did deserve the award for Ye dil mera but his votes got divided.

I voted for Yumna for Mahjabeen, I would not have voted for Yumna for Raaz e Ulfat. Also voted for Bilal for PKS. I am so happy both of them won. So glad, totally well deserved. I understand the pain of fans of other actors. I felt same when Yumna and Bilal did not win in Hum Social Media Award in any of the four category. Yumna was not even nominated there.
Yumna literally had only 3M at that time all others had more than 5M come on and sajal ahad won bcz both of them had 2,2 on air shows so they were all over social media :))

I absolutely think its fair for yumna and bilal abbas. With recent time yumna has established her as an Artist. She emerged as a star and growing her fans base with her recent work.
Yumnas votes were not divided because Mahjabeen was waaaayyyy ahead of the other role in Raaze ulfat. So all the fans voted for Pyar kay Sadqay. The votes for Ahad were divided because on one hand ehde wafa was immensely popular and on the other hand the pairing of Sajal and Ahad and his performance in Ye dil mera was also hugely appreciated even if ratings weren’t there for drama.Danish also benefitted from his recent popularity in Ishq Hai.

Sajal also deserved it she has been in the industry for 11 years with no lux award by her name, but now atleast yumna has 3 lux awards by her name and next year she'll get the 4th one for DNUTN when sajal wouldn't be nominated i like yumna as well :))

Hey Amna - Your LSA'21 look may not be the best, but really who cares. If you felt comfortable and enjoyed the night then that's all that matters. You can never please everyone all the time. Look at the positive side, you are an inspiration to women who may not be skinny but when they look at you they feel its okay to be overweight and also be confident. You definitely inspire me.

And it’s just not that it was bad like really bad , but it seemed like she had put no effort at all and wore whatever the first thing she saw in her wardrobe.

It was quite windy that day so naturally her hair wouldn't stay styled if she was outside interacting with stars. Calling her unprofessional or disrespectful is a little harsh in my opinion. It just wasn't her day and it is okay if her look was not the best. She is not defending it either so we should give her a break :).

Aamna is very elitist in her comments when she critiques wardrobes of actresses in the dramas and I always found those comments problematic cuz at the end of the day it is just a dress, life got bigger problems... And because she seems to be so invested in fashion and appearances, it is very natural to expect better from her...I was glad she acknowledged her fashion faux pas in her insta post

I voted for Yumna and Bilal for PKS and Ehd e Wafa in drama category and Sabaat OST. Saying that if a drama wins, the actors should also win or if actors win, drama should also win is absurd. Saying that an actor has bigger fandom so they should win again does not make much sense. Danish has 4 million followers on Insta, Ahad has 2 million n u r saying Ahad has a bigger fanbase. Feroz has 5M followers. Followers dont matter. Yumna has less followers than majority of famous actresses. This kind of math should not be considered when it comes to awards. TRPs dont matter too, werna sare awards to Geo ko milne chaye the. Not everyone who votes is a part of a certain fandom. Just my humble opinion. Otherwise ander ki baat to aap ko hi pata hogi 🤔

As a fan of all of them (Yumna , Bilal , Sajal and Ahad ) I too wished to see them taking the trophies home 😇 But saying that Yumna's win was unfair is not correct as the same scenario happened when Iqra Aziz got LSA in both critics and popular caregory for Suno chanda , moreover I am so happy for Bilal as his craft and hardwork is finally acknowledged 😇😇 The meticulous way with which he portrayed the role of Abdullah was one of the finest performances by the actor in 2020 and thus deserved recognition 😇😇👍👍

When Amna was claiming that Ahad's votes got divided. Hassan said but Yumna's votes didn't got divided.
Here's the point to be noted is that in case of Yumna she was nominated for Raaz_e_ulfat and Pyar ke sadqe. Pyar ke Sadqe was much more popular as compared to Raaz_e_ulfat. That was the reason her votes didn't got divided. Where as in case of Ahad, he was nominated for Yeh dil mera and Ehdewafa. Both were hit drama's of 2020. People loved him equally as Amaan and Saad. For the viewer's it was actually hard to choose between Saad and Amaan.🖤💞 So his votes got divided.
Fans voted for Mahjabeen more than just Yumna. Its simple. I am a big fan of Yumna but I would not vote her for Raaz e Ulfat when there were other better choices.

Personally I feel Hassan and Amna r hosts so they should not be criticised on their attire,attention should be paid to what content they r giving us,the discussion,their views and analysis. I feel they both look good in casual wear.

I would be happier if Ahad won the popular award. But Yumna deserves both the awards and this is coming from everyone even her contemporaries.
Remember yumna didn't even get a nomination for Dar Si jati hai Sila and Noman Ijaz won for the same drama and later she got Hum Award for the same drama but she's been sidelined a lot. So let her enjoy her win wholeheartedly especially when she has dared to play and then nail a character that no one would've opted in the first place. Ofc I know and acknowledge that Sajal was great as Momina (loved her) but her competition was tougher and she obv can't win every year. That said Mawra and Kubra gave very strong performances this year so if anything we should be upset for them as well. But let it be the year of Yumna, she literally made our lockdown and the whole year a lot better.
Yumna is popular as well as jury's choice so I don't feel any harm in this. Public and jury both were on same page. Sajal is brilliant actress but I feel Yumna have given outstanding performance in PKS and she totally deserves the award for that.
Next year too, she will win for Dil Na Umeed tou Nhi...

Yumna' s onscreen character Mahjabeen is critically acclaimed character and viewers also enjoy it very much.
Aamna's area of expertise is actually casual look and that's why I think her having a problem creating formal looks is understandable and for men it's way too easy , black and black is a classic nothing new and hence hassan looked great

But anyone who has watched both the serial's will simply vote for Amaan because Ahad's character in Yeh dil mera was much more challenging then in Ehdewafa. So at the end sahad's fandom voted for Amaan while other viewers voted for Saad. I have watched both the serial and i can simply say that Ahad deserved to win for Amaan more then anyone else. He was too good in his character. While watching the serial I didn't even felt for a single second that i am watching Ahad. He was completely Amaan. This causes haters or people think Sajal is overrated which to some extent she is. Sajal and Yumna are both powerhouses, Ahad didn’t win since he got 2 nominations and thus his votes were divided. I think Bilal definitely deserved his award. The fact that people are hating on danish just because he won is not right. If you hate on the guy, your fav will not get the award. The guy won end of story. There’s no point in hating on him, let him enjoy his award and celebrate.

I agree, I don't really understand how the Awards work in Pakistan. It is a shame that the system may mean it won't be considered but all Award shows are a sham and more about popularity than excellence so I don't rate them much anyway. It is the same for western Award shows!
Yumna is extremely talented.It is her 2nd consequent award.Last year,she got best actress award(viewer's choice)for inkaar,and best actress (critic's choice)was won by Iqra Aziz for Ranjha Ranjha kardi
Ahad was good in ye dil mera but his performance in ehde wafa was a mediocre one. In my opinion in Ehde wafa Ahmad Ali akbar was the best among the four leading boys in drama. I m glad that yumna has won both the awards,I voted for her. She was phenomenal in PKS
There are the awards before where Ahad and sajal totally stole the shows and won many awards. So, that's okay if they didn't win this time even though they deserve. But yumna and bilal are also very talented and truly deserving for pyar ke sadqay.

11 years of working and not a Lux Award, Sajal truly deserved.
When iqra Aziz can win two awards for her over the top performance in suno Chanda, why can't yumna? And simply, yumna was better than sajal. Yes sajal is supremely talented and may be a notch higher than yumna in playing such roles that she did in Alif and yeh Dil Mera but again yumna is definitely a notch higher than anyone in playing a mahjabeen which is more difficult to portray. Simple! PISA has actually solved the issue of an actor getting two awards though by not nominating an actor in both categories and this is such a bloody good idea to resolve all such conflicts and for that, credit goes to Aamna and Hassan mostly!

Yumna Zaidi: in the popular award she won by fair votes she got. I don’t know how this could be questioned. Her performance in Pyar ke Sadqay for the year in question was top notch. I don’t see any one questioning that.
Hassan as disclosed during this video was part of the jury and she got the max votes so not sure what’s the issue. If you feel Sajal should have won (and she is an outstanding actor) then all the votes should have gone in that direction. I personally didn’t watch Alief so can’t comment.
Danish Taimoor: He won the popular award by fair votes by the audience so what’s the issue then. I tend to agree with Hassan in general but it appears in this case he doesn’t agree with the way people voted. Well! That’s how people voted and hence the verdict! I don’t think the argument of vote got divided for Ahad is a logical one as Amna pointed it didn’t do so for Yumna! Also by this logic, onus of Ahad not winning is again put on audience. I personally don’t think is right.
Bilal Abbas/Ahad Raza Mir: the winner of the critics choice award was picked by Jury so if Ahad didn’t win onus is on the Jury!
Personally if I were a member of jury I would have voted for Ahad considering the roles and amount of screen space he had in both the nominations. Bilal Abbas Khan in general a great actor but Pyar ke Sadqay was all about Mahajabeen and except for last or so episode(s) he didn’t even have much of screen space.

One after another such tough roles and her outstanding performances. she is finally getting her due. Her Dil na Umeed to nahi if I recall didn’t have any nominations. Such shows and performance are once in a lifetime kinds. I would again question the members of Jury why dil na umeed to nahi wasn’t atleast in the critics choice award. And if it was and I missed it then sorry ☺️

What's the problem with Yumna winning both awards. Sajal is a fine actress. But Yumna did a great job with a tough role. Mahjabeen was a far far more complex character than Momina Sultan.... no two ways about that.

Amna stay the way you are. There were many people on red carpet with high fashion sense but zero common sense. You are exceptionally strong woman we love you for your strong personality and intelligence not because of the clothes you wear.
I think acting awards should be like fashion awards, Actors should be nominated for all the work they have done in a year. This way, we can have more actors nominated and be fair to each and everyone and as Amna said, the division of votes would also be fair. So Ahad should have been nominated once for all his performances in a year.
