We are very proud to present Dallas singer/songwriter Joshua Ray Walker performing his song "Voices" for LISTEN - Closeup Concerts of Dallas Originals. Joshua's character-driven songwriting and golden-era Texas twang carries the torch of songwriting legends like John Prine, Guy Clark, and Blaze Foley.
LISTEN is an initiative of the AT&T Performing Arts Center that spotlights the talented artists in the Dallas cultural community. LISTEN is presented with support from the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture.

There is hope now for Country Music. Its been a very long time since anyone in Country music talked to my soul. There is hope!
Late response, I know, but I grew up having country because a lot of popular country is terrible. Bo Burnham's country song is exactly what I thought about most country. Then I discovered JRW, and artists like him. Completely changed my viewpoint. I'm still not a big country fan, but damn, if more country was like this I just might be.
So original. Music like this can't and won't be heard on the radio because it is just too damn beautiful and heartbreaking. Joshua is the real deal. It has been decades since I've been moved like this by any music, not since Townes VanZandt, Guy Clark or John Prine. Bless you Joshua.
