    Akai force-How to loop a pad within a drum track/note mode/pads/sample edit> shift>loop
    For live jam session. Only worked once. I created mute groups for the pick up, but it has only worked once.

    Great tutorial.This adds even more value to the Force i just purchased.Love the audio tracks and workflow.Can clips be copied and pasted into the arranger tracks?

      Yep, except you copy the clip information instead of the container.

    Excellent video, thanks !! Something I noticed is people always use looping audio clips on the Force and thats ok. I am trying to use an FX no-looping audio (one shot) but noticed the clip once played keeps blinking forever. How do you stop that?

    • @nicethings
      @nicethings  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Is this on a drum program? This seems like that's a Launch clip as they blink when triggered, if so; you can change launch trigger from global to a smaller launch window.

    • @roberto.a.cumsille
      @roberto.a.cumsille 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nicethings thank you. yes, it is a launch clip but even changing launch quantize to 1/64 bar it never stop blinking

    Good Day , one more for you is there a way to change the play button to a pause button ?

    • @nicethings
      @nicethings  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sadly, you can only pause in the arranger. That said, you can always record a 'section' of the clips to arranger, work on it there, then copy it back to the matrix.

    • @nicethings
      @nicethings  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question; you have to save as a template project. Then in preferences, change Project Defaults > New Project Dialog to Template. Whenever you turn on the Force, press this and it will be setup as you like it.

    This helped a lot. It’s a work around for the issue I’m having, which brings me to my question. Is there a way to record an audio clip longer than 2 bars?

    • @nicethings
      @nicethings  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep, two ways:; shift + 2 = change length,, or hold REC = settings > No fixed length

    Is it possible to use the Akai Force with an summing mixer? Going out on the 1,2 into say an ssl six returning the signal back into 3,4. But I’m stuck on how I would accomplish printing my audio back in the Force if it’s possible. Any help would be much appreciated Tom.

    • @nicethings
      @nicethings  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You got that slightly the wrong way round: SSL into 1/2, then out of FORCE ( 1/2/3/4) into SSL If the Force is the monitor, switch input to IN. The good news is this is likely to change in the next update, giving you even more flexible options.

    how long can audio tracks be on the force? can you record 4 minutes of guitar on track 1, then add 4 minutes of bass guitar on track 2, then add 4 minutes of vocals on track 3? (for example) thanks!

    • @nicethings
      @nicethings  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Technically, it’s about twenty minutes, but you can assign recording to a SSD (a must buy) so I feel it will be indefinite or the size of the drive.

    can i play an one hour show in the same project using stems and loops similar to ableton? or i need to create one project for every song in the set? does ir switch beteween projects fast in this case?

    • @nicethings
      @nicethings  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That all depends on how your songs are made. At present, you have 1.5GB Ram of working space, so all samples, plugins and fx are affected by how you use it. If you’re just doing PA stuff, you can just load and PURGE tracks as you go, without need to stop (like a DJ). If you’re looking to do ‘Project within a project’, you’ll have to figure out what you need to do to work within that limit.

    • @GabrielPov3da
      @GabrielPov3da 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nicethings i play DUB and hip hop, so i use 8 stems (already mastered) per song, 1 for drums, 1 for bass, 1 for keys... and i blend the original beat arrangement with moments of looping some section of the song so i can dub it or improvise an instrument or singing on top of it.
      In ableton i can load the hole set, wich is 10, 12 songs with 8 channels and 7 to 10 scenes each in one project, and just press page down to change the song. Also the play scene button in ableton can change the BPM of the whole project, so when i page down and start a new song on the set, press the play button on scene 1 of song 2 it will be on the BPM of the song 2.
      In FORCE i can perform like that or similar to that? How can we perform a set with different songs and different BPM's on the FORCE?
      I don't mind if i have to open a different project for each song because of the RAM, but in a live performance the force can change between these projects fast?
      Thank you so much for your help man, your videos are amazing, @AKAI should sponsor you. I'm from Brazil, flerting with the FORCE but want to know these especifc workflow details before i buy it.
