I have the pleasure of working with a Rotti cross. What an amazing pet she is. She has the colors of the Rottweiler and the strong jaw force. She's from Hobeema and is fourteen year's old. My my what a doggie.
Great family dog. 5 kids 3 elementary age & 2 under 3 yrs of age. My dog is VERY protective of the kids and my wife. Only down fall of owning a Rotty is they will shed 50 tons of hair in your house. You constantly have to groom them every 2 or 3 days
I've had many other breeds in my life. Since my first rotti in 1983 I've been a loyal rottweiler mom since having many German Rottweilers! Best breed for any situation!!
I used to have two Rottweilers as a kid growing up in northern Israel. They would follow my brother and sister to school from a stalker's distance and then eat all the kid's lunches hanging outside the classroom. Those dogs were notorious lol.
🤣 that reminds me of my grandfather's old male Rottweiler. He was a tracking/protection dog and LOVED to track me and my cousin to school whenever we stayed the night at our grandparents lol. We'd be in class and see him out the window walking around the school trying to figure out how to get in 🤣 The principal knew my gramp & even let the dog inside a couple times because he knew he wouldn't hurt anyone. The dog just came in & sat with us until my gram or gramp came to pick him up lol.

@@kabir1557 they can absolutely be naturally protective as well.. BUT, with any dog that's protective, willing and WANTS to bite/attack strangers, you definitely want to train them!! All it takes is someone playing around with a friend, dog sees it as a threat, attacks the friend & now the dogs being put down for protecting you... More important than knowing when to guard/protect/bite, is a dog knowing when NOT to bite/protect from something..
I have a big yard for my Rottweilers and they hike every day . We do obedience, and our dogs are lean .

I find this channel superior to all other dog documentaries because owners, trainers, etc. do not speak less of other breeds. Each breed has their specific talents, abilities, activity level, longevity and use. We get unbiased information from those who really know the breed, can articulate their appreciation of the breed and remain strict disciplinarians of their animals and love them at the same time. Gone are the days where owners looked only for aggression in dogs like rotties, a notion well appreciated by those who know these dogs as great family pets. There is no other channel that gives the level of honest, unbiased information without depreciating other breeds and I like that a lot.
Obviously many miss the point, Long ears and tails are weak points for a guard dog, a tough, big strong guy could take a rott by the tail and swing it against a wall , a mean pit bull could EAT the ears of a Dob. But is part of the emasculating view of the feminazi, I guess.
Aisha Fatty, mine too! The Rotties, in "The Omen" Movie Franchises, and the Rotties, on "The Dog Whisperer," caused me to become a HUGE Fan!!!😍 Definitely, one of my Favorite Dog Breeds!!!👍
I cant say enough good things about my Rottie! She's just the biggest teddy bear ever!... loyal, calm, loving and SUPER intelligent. Highly recommended if you are an experienced dog owner, just due to their huge size and strength. To me she's perfect!

So happy to see tails on these dogs. I love my "spoiled rotten"weiler and she has so much personality in her tail. Lived with them my whole life and early on my family caught so much grief for not docking our dogs tails unless it was medically necessary. Glad to see times are changing. Although the last two my folks rescued had their tales docked by the dog fighting assholes that had them before my folks got them and my brothers and I taught both of them to chase their nubs when we'd tease them about it. "Lady! You've got a round butt! You lost your tail!" *Lady begins spin cycle* "Duke you're missing your tail!" *Crashes into all the furniture* Such goofy giants.
My 10 month Rotty (Zena) is unbelievable. She is great with my 5 year old daughter and she loves to swim. My daughter holds into her while she is swimming across pool. I couldn't ask for a better dog.....
my rottweiler (brownie) died at 11 years old!! i loved him so much... he was just full of love!!! he was so good with kids, my nephew and nieces would ride him like a horse when they were little. but he was also very protective!!! no one strange could come in the yard!! usually people were scared just to see him cause he looked so mean and huge!!!. these are beautiful dogs, they need lots of love!!!
AKC should really use the standard that the breed’s country of origin uses. These dogs appear much more true to their origin and capable of working than the “American” dogs.
The AKC just straight up sucks. I mean they literally register puppy mill dogs and still pretend to be a staple of quality. The ADRK on the other hand requires breeders to get permission before any pairing, to make sure that only quality dogs get bred. The permission is based on actual results the dog has had (health, conformation, and working), not just on a piece of paper. Regardless of what breed you want, if there's a way to get around the AKC, you should.
You forget the general sense of entitlement that is extremely prevalent in the US that requires special rules just for them. The NCAA, the AKC, the Imperial system of measurement... there are countless examples of the rest of the world adhering to one standard, and the USA just needing to be different.
Good looking dog's and well done video. My favorite breed since I was a kid. It's good to see a bunch of Rotts with their tails. I don't agree with docking of the tails or cropping of the ears for any breed.
“Docked tail” Comes down to the preference. I like a docked tail personally. If you have a pedigree dog? Like, one of the best pedigrees out AKA some 🔥🔥🔥 Sh*t!!! Japanac Von Haus Drazic, Lex Vom Hause Edelstein, Dzomba Von Haus Drazic. Mauser of Nicola’s Lion. If you have any of this blood,👆🏽👆🏽👆🏽on your yard. AIN’T no way I’m Spaying or Neutering!
If u dock Ur dogs tails or crop their ears atleast say the true Reason for it,its coz u find it better looking! I think it does but i could never so that to my dog just to Look better. Dont say its because of health,if i cut ur arm off u cant get diseases in ur arm. Thats their logic
There is a big problem with the breed! In simple words, the problems associated with this new 'Trendy' pugweiler head type are: 1) SHORT MUZZLE leads to difficulties in breathing and the ability to dissipate heat is compromised. Which prevents the dog from fulfilling the original purpose of his breed that is WORK. Lots of cases are popping up these days around the world where short muzzled Rottweilers are suddenly dying off heat stroke. For detailed information please search about Brachycephalic Airway Obstructive Syndrome. 2) HEART related complications. Shortened and narrowed path for the flow of air results in laboured breathing. The dogs constantly struggle to cope with the lack of oxygen in their bloodstream. This puts a strain on their hearts. 3) TEETH PROBLEM. When the size of muzzle is compressed there is less room for the teeth of same number, shape and size to fit in. Underbite, missing teeth, crooked teeth, small teeth, twisted teeth, tight or incomplete scissors bite etc are some of the problems. Rottweilers are supposed to be have a 100% scissors bite. 4) A Shorter Muzzle compromises with the grip and bite force of the dog. A large and powerful muzzle is responsible for a great bite force. When the muzzle becomes short and narrow the grip of the dog and bite force is compromised. 5) Major Deviation from the Breed Standard. Breed Standard states that the skull to muzzle ratio of a rottweiler head is supposed to be 60:40. The head of the rottweiler is the icon of the breed. Rottweilers is supposed to have a large head with powerful muzzle. And not a short head with extremely short muzzle. A strong stop is desired not an overdone stop. A slightly arched skull is desired and NOT a helmet on the head. These cosmetic changes in the head also brings changes in eye shape, size and placement. Round eyes, loose eyelids, incorrect eye placement is often noticed in these extreme type dogs. Along with extra skin folds around the head and muzzle which is another deviation from the breed type. Below are 5 pictures of Male heads that may not be 100% perfect (no dog is perfect) but are very close to the breed standard. All these dogs are either Gekört and/or have won World Shows. Just to give an example of how rottweiler heads are supposed to look like. Anirban Bhattacharya Thank you Alexandre Barros

I have a beautiful Rotty from an incredible breeding lineage, he is very smart, obeys all commands. My wife decided to raise chickens on our property. Fred seemed very calm and agreeable when my wife or myself were tending to them. We had them in a full enclosure, we left for a day trip and kept Fred outside. When we returned, Frederick Der Grosse was sitting at our gate with a happy grin, and feathers all over his muzzle. My wife, ever the optimist, bought five more chicks. When they were old enough, they were again placed in the coop and yard. Fred paid little attention to them and actually alerted us when a hen flew over the fence. What a good boy!. We felt confident enough to take another trip, and when we returned, they all were dead. Fred is a great companion to us as well as protector, he subdued a drug addled trespasser on our property with no difficulty. However, he seems to have a no chicken circuit and installed in his brain.
What is it you’re trying to say? With all those words it’s still unclear. Your good stock Rottweiler was killing all the chickens every time you left him alone?
Getting my first Rottie in 8 days.. She's a female and we've decided to call her ''Rökkva''. We live in Iceland and getting a good quality Rottie here is not an easy task! If they shed more than twice and it’s extreme it could’ve been something you were feeding them or some other reason, but either way it’s abnormal for them to lose hair like that.
@@cenobio5778 yes, I agree, they do 'blow' the whole coat with seasonal changes 2 times a year. If dropping coat all the time, not healthy. My boy lived to be 13 yrs old . Intact male, never over weight. Best dog ever
Like a Labrador? Because I was thinking about going with a Rottie had one as a kid so I don’t recall the shedding but have had 3 Labs in my adult life and if the rottie sheds like that twice a year blows coat then sheds daily that’s a deal breaker for me, and if they don’t dock tails still that’s also a no go.

I dunno about the whole "missing a tooth is an instant disqualification" part. If it's a *working dog* and *working breed* we can expect it to be missing a tooth or two. A missing tooth shouldn't define the dogs overall structure, conformation and what the dog represents as a whole. Good looking rotts though!
Mine is missing a tooth, he went to catch a rock as I was removing bigger rocks from my driveway, there is still no way you are getting away from that bite (his left K9 broke)
When I show my jagdterrier there are some who looks very FUped. Scared etc They are still shown and place good You cant fight too many badgers or boars and expect to still be cute :p My bitch is untouched, too fast :p
You're welcome! IT is to prevent Deformation of the jaw, that we don't end up with Rottweilers that look like pugs one day.. of course that doesn't happen from one Generation to the next, but just look at German Shepherds from 1950, and the frog-legged creatures from today, that can barely walk, let alone working in dog sport, law enforcement, or something like that! Very, Very sad what they have done to that once amazing breed! So If we don't want our breed to end up like that, breeders have to be aware of this things. My girl also lost one of her teeth. Also because she tried to catch a stone. But she misses the one on the right side.
This channel is so authentic, like covers upto a great extent....I wish that if you make videos of livestock in their real habitat..Though that involves lot of travelling and money but will be great for knowledge..
I am having a tough debate between a Rottweiler and a Giant Schnauzer. It'll be a farm dog. Specifically, to guard the homestead portion of the farm since my off-farm job has me away overnight once every three days and even while I'm working the farm, I still may be a few miles away from the family and a 15 minute police response time and no neighbors is less than ideal. Dog would stay inside a few hours in the evening for socialization but largely will be outside protecting the area, doggy door access to a heated shop, but we will be outside a lot so all weather performance is a must. Rotts and Giant Schnauzers both seem like good candidates. Rotts seem more intimidating to an intruder which is a plus but GS may handle heat better since you can cut their hair really short...Also, I know he said they are good with kids but I still just have a slight lingering question about Rotts maybe being a bit nippy with people and forming unhealthy bonds with specific family members and not letting other kids or family members near them.... IDK, I just don't want an incident with cousins or friends coming over.
Thank you sir for founding a club which obviously uphold the true standards for this amazing breed, not the so called lumbering and woefully lacking in stamina and agility "american" version of it. Beautiful, real rotties in this vid.

Yelling through the door, and my 298 dogs live here, and you don't!!Threaten to kill my dog because you don't like breed?? Go screw yourself. Those are the only, I and I do mean ONLY, BUT I 2 people my wife will talk to. Next thing we know, is that there are literally 8 police cars on our 150vacre farm with no authority. And in the house, t have 2 brand new momma's of 12 babies each being super protective of their young. And they called both our males aggressive. While they could easily see my son, they were r3 yrs old, and fast asleep using one as a pillow and the other as a leg rest. Yeah. Super aggressive International Champions for Schutzhund the 2 of them. Lying there, I without a care in the world, and snoring. But I can guarantee you this, had the police forced entry? They would have been in one heck of a surprise from all 4 adult dogs, and the 3 juveniles we had at that time. The juveniles were 18 months and had just started bite work. So, 31 dogs in all in the house if you're counting the 2 litters of puppies that our 2 females had on the same day. We had a 1bhour break, and between the deliveries. We preferred to be there to prevent umbilical hernia in case mom bites the cord too close.
I love when people talk about their herding history! My baby uses his body to herd us. We never taught him this, pure instinct 🐄
@@mikefrost1312 man that's so amazing to hear. I wish to get one loving Rottweiler for myself soon.
@@mikefrost1312 also did y'all train him in protection or was he naturally a good guard dog? I've heard that Rotties are few of the breeds that will protect you without any training whatsoever!
@@kabir1557 he was professionally trained before my grandfather ever got him imported. In reality, he NEVER should have left that yard lol but, he was a bit spoiled and part of his training WAS to watch and protect us kids. So when we walked to school (literally right around the corner lol) he got mad and wanted to come with us. He was an amazing dog! I miss him
@@kabir1557 they can absolutely be naturally protective as well..
Rottweilers, are built like wrestlers, and linebackers!💪 Beautiful breed, with a Powerful Bite Force!😍
Rottweilers are the best of all, thank God for them.:-)
Yay I was waiting for another Rottweiler video !!!
Me also
Me too!
Annie Rivera same:)
Annie Rivera Me too I was waiting to see a nice Rottweiler video
Obviously many miss the point, Long ears and tails are weak points for a guard dog, a tough, big strong guy could take a rott by the tail and swing it against a wall , a mean pit bull could EAT the ears of a Dob.
But is part of the emasculating view of the feminazi, I guess.
One of the best independent channels around
Respect to you. That's the first time I've heard an American talk facts that are 100% correct and been so honest. Loved the video thank you. 🙂
One of my fav dog breed
Aisha Fatty Same here
Same here too. The all purpose breed
Aisha Fatty, mine too! The Rotties, in "The Omen" Movie Franchises, and the Rotties, on "The Dog Whisperer," caused me to become a HUGE Fan!!!😍 Definitely, one of my Favorite Dog Breeds!!!👍
thank you germany for this beautiful dogs!
I cant say enough good things about my Rottie! She's just the biggest teddy bear ever!... loyal, calm, loving and SUPER intelligent. Highly recommended if you are an experienced dog owner, just due to their huge size and strength. To me she's perfect!
Rottweiler is an excellent breed and the best breed on this planet. The rottweiler was awesome and handsome. He was big nice, fierce, and looking very friendly Rottweiler.(Also powerful) Very informative the video was, thank you Mr Mike. Thanks Mr Zeke. Love the ROTTWEILER.
Thank you Mr Mike and Mr Zeke
Them wanting to be in your lap all the time is an understatement lol
Naw fr 😂
I just got a Rott/Boxer mix a few weeks ago. He's really sweet and absolutely adores my Chihuahua.
Hands down my favorite breed never owned one grew up owning American pitbull terriers so I'm used to dominant breeds.
Edward Moten I’m a 5’5 120 lb woman and I will always need a dominant breed. Currently have an AmStaff/AmBulldog mix. She’s the best balance of guardian and goofball.
The Rottie is from Rottweil, Germany. It was used to drive the cattle from the farm to the market. They are also guards.
I have a girl Rottweiler and I love her so much .She’s the best dog we’ve ever owned . Great with children and so loveable
Thank you for also pointing out that a high weight is not something "cool" for the dog and often shortens its lifespan!
From Spokane with Kiyah,
Good video. Need more breeders with your attitude! Bravo
Rottweilers are tied with Boxers for my favorite dog breed. Such a wonderful breed
You lost your tail!"
*Lady begins spin cycle*
"Duke you're missing your tail!"
*Crashes into all the furniture*
Such goofy giants.
Love this! Such a beautiful dog!!
My 10 month Rotty (Zena) is unbelievable. She is great with my 5 year old daughter and she loves to swim. My daughter holds into her while she is swimming across pool. I couldn't ask for a better dog.....
I have a rottie so this helps a lot! Love this channel!!
Word, Rotties are the Sh*t
my rottweiler (brownie) died at 11 years old!! i loved him so much... he was just full of love!!! he was so good with kids, my nephew and nieces would ride him like a horse when they were little. but he was also very protective!!! no one strange could come in the yard!! usually people were scared just to see him cause he looked so mean and huge!!!. these are beautiful dogs, they need lots of love!!!
You make the best documentaries on dogs. THE BEST! I can't look to any others. Keep up the good work!
I love them with their tails ❤️
The tail is a weak point.
same! there is no reason for cosmetic surgery on animals....also rotties have thick strong tails....not like the dobermans
@@lorenzomagazzeni5425 some times, but they run and turn faster with him
@@mendesdecarvalho385 yeah, isnt it suppose to be like a rudder for balance.
They get a lot of problems with out tail ( spine problems, runnig problems.. walk...)
The best channel for dog lovers!!!!! Have never clicked on a video so fast!! love the vids!!
AKC should really use the standard that the breed’s country of origin uses. These dogs appear much more true to their origin and capable of working than the “American” dogs.
Toast to that.
@@Couchlover47 agreed. On the bright side at least they did well with the Akitas, but that’s about it lol
You forget the general sense of entitlement that is extremely prevalent in the US that requires special rules just for them. The NCAA, the AKC, the Imperial system of measurement... there are countless examples of the rest of the world adhering to one standard, and the USA just needing to be different.
Once again you've out done yourself! Another great video!
IT'S SETTLED! I'm getting a rottie!!
Great documentary - really good, sensible breeder attitude. Good work 🤗
Man these are beautiful dogs. It's hard to find videos or breeders with PROPER Rottweilers.
Good looking dog's and well done video. My favorite breed since I was a kid.
It's good to see a bunch of Rotts with their tails. I don't agree with docking of the tails or cropping of the ears for any breed.
My favorite breed too! Dope video here.
Do you "agree" with spaying and neutering?
“Docked tail” Comes down to the preference. I like a docked tail personally. If you have a pedigree dog? Like, one of the best pedigrees out AKA some 🔥🔥🔥 Sh*t!!!
Japanac Von Haus Drazic, Lex Vom Hause Edelstein, Dzomba Von Haus Drazic. Mauser of Nicola’s Lion.
If you have any of this blood,👆🏽👆🏽👆🏽on your yard. AIN’T no way I’m Spaying or Neutering!
dobiacco what is your reasoning for those two things being even remotely related to docking or cropping? Please explain that correlation to me.
If u dock Ur dogs tails or crop their ears atleast say the true Reason for it,its coz u find it better looking! I think it does but i could never so that to my dog just to Look better. Dont say its because of health,if i cut ur arm off u cant get diseases in ur arm. Thats their logic
Beautifully explained!
There is a big problem with the breed!
In simple words, the problems associated with this new 'Trendy' pugweiler head type are:
1) SHORT MUZZLE leads to difficulties in breathing and the ability to dissipate heat is compromised.

If I could have one I would.
One of my favorite breeds, when bred right they have the most regal faces and spectacular physiques.
American Akita
American Bulldog
Rottweiler
Old video-new comment alert. But I really like the Rottweiler with a tail! Plus it has its advantages as an owner/handler. That's all, have a good day and I generally enjoy the content.
I really love when these videos are done with super professional very very breed oriented people. I wish you could find people like him for all breeds!
Your channel is great. Keep up the goodwork.
YO WHEN HE SAID NOTHING IS A REQUIREMENT IN THE USA I DIED. LITERALLY. THAT SHIT KILLED ME!! HAHA!!
What a beautiful Rottweiler!l agree with the breeder.I admire his sensitivity and loyalty to the breed.
This is my favourite,adored,😍 breed.
I had 1 he died at 12yr old loved him so much great dog
I haven’t own a dog or any pet but I’m drawn to the rottweiler bc of its cute and aggressive face. Maybe I’ll get one someday :)
Getting my first Rottie in 8 days.. She's a female and we've decided to call her ''Rökkva''. We live in Iceland and getting a good quality Rottie here is not an easy task! Finally we're getting one and we can't wait!! Very informative video. Thank you!
Edit: If anyone knows, is it safe to start feeding them raw meat at a young age? Never fed a dog raw meat before but really would like to give it a try!
Thank you in advance. :)
How's your Rottie doing? :)
6:44 this dogs mouth is absolutely FANTASTIC!!! Beautiful black lips and gums. And lovely dentition. I’d love to know this one’s registered show name. 😍
Good looking dog. I would say if it's a male he's lacking a little bit of substance but overall not bad
They look awesome with tails. I think this is my first time seeing one without the tail docked
I love you channel! you put so much effort into making them :)
Never miss a video from this channel (although they are few and far between)
Shed twice a year??? YEAH RIGHT!!! I have owned 3 Rottweilers. They shed like crazy!!
Feed them a raw diet, they should shed less
Like a Labrador? Because I was thinking about going with a Rottie had one as a kid so I don’t recall the shedding but have had 3 Labs in my adult life and if the rottie sheds like that twice a year blows coat then sheds daily that’s a deal breaker for me, and if they don’t dock tails still that’s also a no go.
Diet and local. Add fish oil to their diet. FYI/They shed 365 days a year if you live in Southern Florida or Southern Cali.
I have 2, a male n female, they are the best dogs ever, a dog with ADHD but the most stunning looking and loyal dog ever.
As I have been studying over the various breeds of dogs, the Rotwilder is truly above my choice. This Blue Heeler is not that far off, but the Rotwilder is not only a work hound, this breed is social.
Rottweilers #1 ❤️
Love the breed. Mine is 4 months old. This is my 3rd one I’ve owned.
Thanks to American breeders for keeping the Classic Rottweiler. These are real rottweilers.Beautiful dogs)
Thanks for the info. Im getting one in the future, so i have to research all that i can now. Im waiting until i can provide the best living situation possible.
Best channel in the world! I want a Rottweiler so bad!

Good looking Rottweilers excellent type true to German standard eye shape muzzle stop coat colour 👍👍👍
Best dogs on earth. I have a special needs daughter that my rottie adores. At night he curles up and lays his head on her lap to sleep. Gets along great with our 2 other dogs
Rottweiler's are the best breed of dog on the planet and I would not own any other dog too be my family protecter and my best friend
My rott just passed away he was 13 .....I just ordered a puppy I hope he lives a long life like my last

Keiron Raven look up a prescription animal medication called Metacam it’s an anti inflammatory drug that helps with arthritis/bad joints etc. Ask your veterinarian. if your in USA or other country u may even be able to buy it online without a vets prescription, I give it to my German shepherd and Rottweiler works AMAZING. It’s called Metacam or sometimes called Meloxicam.

Thought I wanted a English or Bullmastiff but bony kind is slowly being changed to wanting a Rottweiler for my next dog
DOC BAINL
They are not disqualyfied If they have lost a tooth while working/playing/..! They are, If they just don't have it from puppy on.
Oh thanks for clarifying that that's very different!!
Mine is missing a tooth, he went to catch a rock as I was removing bigger rocks from my driveway, there is still no way you are getting away from that bite (his left K9 broke)
When I show my jagdterrier there are some who looks very FUped. Scared etc They are still shown and place good
You cant fight too many badgers or boars and expect to still be cute :p
My bitch is untouched, too fast :p
Best channel I have ever watched. 🙂🙂
An athletic and well socialized Rottie is pretty much perfect.
I just had to put mine to rest, he was 19 years old

This gives me joy 👌 your content is so good you need to upload more though
Love this video!!
When I would walk the dogs at shelters 18 years ago, it was funny as I went in with no interest in this breed and over time would say that I was surprised that out of all the dogs the Rottweiler was the dog I liked the most. They were always very intelligent, affectionate, well behaved. Never had one come through that wasn’t a great dog.
They dock the tails for a few reasons but it’s proper to have tail docked
Curious why do they have so pressure on the dogs neck or right underneath the jaw line when they are showing the dog? Does it help with posture?
babydreds89 yes
Just saw my pup, well now adult Rottweiler in this video!
one day ...im going to own this magnificent breed....
