@Abhishek Chambyal Learn how to write proper covers first. That way you'll learn the methods of writing an original, only you're rewriting someone else's work. When you want to write an original, the first thing you have to decide, is what tune it'll be played in. After that, you can play around with some scales accordingly. I skipped a few steps in-between, but those are the basics. A lot of new-gen guitarists don't know nodes or scales because tabs are so used online, but you kinda have to know them to use this method. I don't know what Capser does, but this is what I've done. Hope it helps.
@Abhishek Chambyal An extra piece of advice: Feel free to make use of chords by using the tunes on the 6th and 5th string from the scales, and if you add a tune to the scale, it might improve the everything dramatically. Fx if you have an E in your scale, you can add tunes such as F, D, C and G on the same string.
The best Golden advice Instead of just watching how to vids Grab a guitar start working at basic, finger picking pattern.Learn with 1/2 picking patterns then work your way to 3/4. lateron Maybe some percussion ,tapping ... keep Practicing, try to learn new thing evertime u pick your guitar.
Hi again Caspar! Terry here from Australia! I want to thank you very much for all your help! I finally got my dream guitar! It is a kepma B1 triple A Adirondack and Rosewood GC ..I got it from Leen Music .. Libin was absolutely fantastic in all of his help and generosity I could not have wished for a better person to deal with in buying a guitar he was totally fantastic!! My inspiration has gone through the roof like am totally thrilled to bits with it and thank you so much for all of your help and advice, you are a champion! Kindest regards Terry Buddell, NSW Australia, cheers
Hands down best fingerstyle exercises on TH-cam I've been searching for such great exercises for soo long but this was THE BEST I've found. Thankyou tons Teacher! This video is a masterpiece!!!!
I love your guitar playing especially D Day is my favourite one and I think maton guitar is the best guitar in the world, the sound of its ap5 pickup is beautiful.
Love the swipe exercise. wow. Had to slow video down to .25 to see what was happening. So at 8:20 you are plucking A with thumb, pull up on open D and G, hammer on Em, pull up on D and G strings while holding Em chord, then swipe down on D and G strings again and then finally pull up on them.
@ 8:51 That little bit of Oomph you are talking about is called muffling. The vibration of the strings are muffled by palming over them at the bridge below the soundhole on the guitar body.
Awesome as always! I finally have clear exercises to use, given by one of my favourite guitarist !! So greatful thanks :) Here are some ldeas :) : how to gain finger precision on the strings(I would like to play a song without any mistake..) how to create a song + how to arrange one
@@jadenmanuelmusic bro it's not that difficult ... I thought it too that it's difficult... But u know what.. It's really easy if u go for it.. If u practice well u will get it in just 3 Or 4 days
YES!!!! Finally some really interesting teaching!!! It's late here (Montréal, Québec, Canada) but tomorrow morning I'm on it! Thx Casper ! (Salutations to all your friends in Denmark.)
This guitar lesson is too good for beginners like us!! Keep uploading fingerstyle guitar videos in continuation to this video and so forth ...keep rocking!!
I have a question on where the thumb should exactly be placed for the boom chick exercise (whether behind the neck or visible/on top) also how that can affect playing.
This was, by far, one of the best content I've ever seen on the internet. I wish we had those teachings here in Brasil... Thanks, Casper. btw you're an awesome player.
Blessed evening Casper. I am Gabriel from Ghana. I have enjoyed and learnt a lot from your video.I am absolute beginner and I would want you to be my coach.
Great lessons. I'll be working on that swipe. Check out Mississippi hill country blues. Even alot of the delta guys. Player percussion on your guitar has always been popular.
Hi, I have a question concerning your first exercise with the strumming thumb. If I know the roots of my chords of choice than how I determine the rest of the picking strumming notes? I mean there were a difference between the strumming between your picking of chord E and chord C. So my question is where to find this pattern or how to learn it because I guess it's different for every chord right? Thanks for the tutorial I am gonna to practice it anyway.
You're really guided by the reliable guides I'm sure seeing your classic picking techniques! 🥲👌🏻 Also, it is really challenging even for someone who gave years of dedication in finger-styling but hardly does any exercises but more into playing songs directly 🫣🥴
What can I do: I have relatively small hands and I struggle getting my thumb over the fret board to begin with, let alone getting to the stretched out chords??
like # 341) Hello! Tell me please. If I already play Freight Train, Borsalino? would still be useful exercise number 1? Or I can practice on the songs Tommy?
A tip for ultra beginners like me: learn Jim Jones at Botany Bay from The Hateful Eight. It's only four chords and gets you started. I got the hang of it in like 1 hour.
Hi Casper. In the first part of your video, the boom chick, your playing a C chord but you move your ring finger, third fret back and forth from the 5th string to the 6th string but you dont explain or say why. Am I missing something? Thanks for the lesson!

Is the thumb supposed to mute the 6th string in the first exercise? I’ve just started learning
Is there a slower version/tutorial or maybea tab for the thing you did at 5.00?

Is it normal on that second exercise to only be able to stretch like 1 fret out? I have tiny hands
Thanks for sharing
Would you plz if grown nails are needed for this type if picking

Hi Casper. In the first part of your video, the boom chick, your playing a C chord but you move your ring finger, third fret back and forth from the 5th string to the 6th string but you dont explain or say why. Am I missing something? Thanks for the lesson!
that is so that the pattern is completed better. He could play the open 6th string (it's an E so it's part of the C chord) but the G feels better
how do I do the 5th exercise on chords like D where the root is the 3rd string
Whats the song playing in the background?
Fantastic lessons, thanks a lot :)
