TSW How To Ride As A Passenger On LIRR Tutorial

Sometimes you might just want a relaxing train ride, or maybe you want to relive a journey or explore a far off land. Today we're going to find a train on LIRR and board as a passenger and ride.

I'm sick of stopping the train on the Fife route for tourists to take photos. Not 1 of them has a camera or even stands up to admire the view.

How do you find the timetable? I want to ride as a passenger on The Flying Scotsman. I want to get off and watch it pull away or be at a station when it arrives. I have been through numerous forums and nowhere can I find how to do this. Very, very frustrating.

Hi there, you can find the time a train is going to start by going to "to the trains" then "choose a train" choose the one you want and it'll show you the available services across the routes you own. You then go back to the main menu and choose "to the trains" the route you want then "on foot" choosing both time and station you want to spawn at. Choose as time before the service and go find it. There's no way to see each individual time at each station. You could ride the train while the ai drives it and note the times and stations as you go as a work around.

@@trainsimulatordriver Thank you for your help. It is such a long winded way to be a passenger. There needs to be an easier way like - pick a route, > pick a station > show timetable and trains that can use this route > spawn at station 1 minute before train arrives. What also gets on my nerves is that The Flying Scotsman doesn't run on the Fife route. The train that historically ran to Edinburgh doesn't go to Edinburgh.!

@@AntMusic_ I'll feed back the suggestion but I know they look at both the survey and the game telemetry to see what people do. Spawn on foot isn't widely used. More so since free roam. I thought Scotsman did have at least two services on Fife since the update?

@@trainsimulatordriver If you can how The Scotsman can run on the Fife route please let me know. I am making an animated film using Train Sim footage. If I could get footage of The Scotsman crossing The Fourth bridge it would be amazing.

@@AntMusic_ you don't need the services to do that, just put it at the station before in free roam and drive it across the bridge

Despite the nerfs, honestly, the route has been pretty neat. I still disagree with the price but otherwise it's pretty fun!

@@trainsimulatordriver not at all. From my perspective when I operate it's virtually the same. The setup procedure is a little wonky but it's easy to get over.

I hate to tell you this but there are 3 more M9 in the last chapter of the M7. The First Service is the M7. The second service is the M9' The third service is the M9. The fourth service is the M9. The fifth service is the M7. There is an easy way to fix this with an IF/Then command, put the M9, Tutorial, in the M7 Tutorial, put the M7 in the M9 tutorial, then make an if then command in both tutorials that if the M9, tutorial was done in the M7, tutorial, then award the medal, the medal and move to the next chapter. Do this also with the M7, tutorial in the M9, tutorial and it will fix the problem with less frustration. to the team write one If/Then statement then just change the M9 to M7. and put the corresponding, proper number into the Proper tutorial problem solved. One If Then statement. Let's face it everyone does it, they go to the new train first and then go to the old train, second, and this will fix that problem also.

It's nothing to do with if/then lol what language do you program in? There's a known issue that the m9 is sometimes substituting itself for the m7. It'll be corrected in a patch.
