Basics on grooving dirt modified tires (kk704& Hoosier g60)

Here are some basics on groving your dirt modified tires! This process works on both the American Racer kk704 tires as well as the Hoosier g60 tires. This process has worked well for me in the open and Usmts style Modified racing. Plus some more Super Late Model racing on hand at Rodney Wings Whynot Motorsports Park for there annual Fall Classic!

The whole purpose of camber curve, is to keep the tire at 90° to the surface. If you run more air pressure in the rf, no beadlock is lighter, plus there is positively no grip on the sidewall of the tire. If you run the sidewall on the dirt, the only thing that is happening is heat transfer, thus gaining a bunch of air pressure, fine if you run bleeders, but they are a headache. I know everyone has their own way of doing everything, just sharing what i have learned in my 30yrs of doing it successfully. Y'all take care

Sounds like your from the south by the track your running but next year the sport mod and econo mods will all be on those tires they are usung this year to burn off all the M30S tires ?

Is it just me or have you cut the Vee's on you right front upside down? Braking & turning into the corner it will pull to the right and the more you turn the steering to the left then the more the outside 1/2 of the vee faces straight forward offering no edge bite. jmtcw, cheers

I get what your saying and I would agree if it were asphalt. Dirt your constantly turning in multiple directions and honestly even though we’re going left constantly we hardly steer to the left.
