Also, you can use the training machines in the training center (both wall and tennis ball tosser) to give yourself a *huge* XP boost before you even play your first junior class match - not to mention the side quests on the training courts. I usually put all my points in speed and control - made the game *much* easier.
@@longplayarchive Also, you can set in the options during a match (but only if the ball is not moving (as in you have not served yet)) that the camera is always behind you (you are always on the bottom, no matter what side of the court you're on) - again, makes the game that little bit easier.
This game was compatible with the N64 Transfer Pak and the N64 version of the same game. You could bring your character to the GBC pak to level up on the go.
I like how instead of just porting the game to a handheld, they decided to turn it into an RPG. I don't understand why they decided to put in that much extra effort, but I like it.
Gotta say. The human characters was a surprisingly interesting thing for Nintendo to do before mii’s were a thing
I'm glad you chose to play as Alex!

This game, together with Mario Tennis Advance, is one of my favorites for GBC.
Mario Tennis got more of a story than most story based games do today

Nice tip thanks

Omg i feel old now seeing this lol. Its nice that its on the switch but sucks we can't unlock certain characters 😭
I remember playing this game thinking: What if Pokemon Trainers had Tennis? 😂

Yep! Our N64 upload should show these characters in the char selection menu

Best playing tennis game so far!
It was fun when released and it’s still fun now. This is Nintendo quality for everyone.
Fun game
I remember that game!!!!
nice stuff
This game was the beginning of Mario and his friends in sports (probably)
It's always amusing to see these kinds of games on weaker hardware.
Debut & First Appearance of WaLuigi
And his only 8 bit appearance
@@megadaddy2001 correct. It’s been almost 24 years ever since.
