Personally I think I prefer the compressor style one you showed especially for the $25-30 price point it’s still sitting at, but good to see some alternates if looking for pump style instead of compressor.
Yeah, some of them I have no idea until I get my hands on it what it is. Most I can make out by looking for pressure relief valves. Compressor style is always superior to me until somebody comes along and makes the ultimate pump style and I’m sure it will cost a fortune.

These are impressive! I picked up one of the compressor style and will never look back, that thing is AMAZING, especially for rinseless washes!
I love mine and for the price if something does happen a year from now I got my moneys worth from it. Hopefully end of this year IK comes out with their battery unit that will be the higher quality more expensive version to invest in for years of use.

Major design flaw is the very small neck on the bottle. Definitely have to use a funnel to fill the bottle. I’m still looking for an under $50 rechargeable sprayer that is well made from a company that has a record of making reliable products. Any suggestions?
Going to be honest that will never happen. Griots tried and they charged $130 it was the worst foamer ever made. No real other company had tried except IK with their efoam pro 12 at $250. IK is coming out with a smaller battery foamer at the end of the year, but will be around $100. You can get an IK foamer add a valve and inflator for around $75 or so is the cheapest option of what you are looking for.

Just got my Amazon compressor style one in today, took almost a month but it’s here. The box looked like it was ran over by a truck, got it charging now to see how it works tho

It’s hard to tell if it’s thicker. Loved the texture of the Amazon one. I live in South Florida, so I make sure my foam is a bit wetter. It looked that way to me. I can’t have stuff dry on a car, and even though when outside I use a canopy every time, and wax, seal or coat in my garage, the outside part is a challenge 9 months out of the year. Thank you very much for the post.
Foam is such a subjective thing as well. The reason I put so much emphasis on thickness as it will allow you to dilute the soap to get the desired consistency you are looking for saving money.
@@CarsWithKeav Yes, some people love it literally to just stick there and others love it runny. Lol, as long as we safely get the car clean with great results, that’s what matters most I suppose. They look like great units though.

Thank you Keav my Cheotime foamer is due to arrive between 6/18 and 6/28. Been waiting almost a month. Ordered on 5/30. Unfortunately this is my 2nd one ordered because the first one was lost. Did get a refund. This is the same manufacture as the first which got lost.
Same manufacturer for all of them just different sellers. Yeah the first shipment got stuck in customs and they didn’t know when it would be released so they refunded everybody. It was crazy because I sold a lot of them and weeks later Amazon says I owe them hundreds of dollars and I find out 200 returns happened on my account. 🤣 That’s why they don’t pay you until 2 months after the sale is made.

The DIy drying towel looks smaller than the one they use in their videos. Is this one a smaller one and if so I cannot find it. I wanted to get their larger one for drying the car and hope they have smaller ones for doing small areas.
It was available at one point and they said they are trying to get it back. I think McKee’s has a very similar one as well that is 16x16, but these are not cheap. amzn.to/3xoxJwS Min is 8x16 which is perfect when folded you get that small footprint for small areas. For that price and performance I may actually have to grab one of these things. One thing to note, what I like about the idea of the pump style, is that even though you really need to rinse the pump out after use, it's really easy to do. you can just grab a quick cup or so of water and just make sure the straw is submerged. If you want to rinse a compressor style, you need to transfer any remaining product out, rinse the bottle, reseat the bottle, then compress it to rinse. Thanks a lot for always checking these things out for us.
Agreed it is a much easier process to change or clean chemicals out with these. Compressor style it’s best to stick with one chemical and use multiple sprayers and the hood thing is you really don’t have to clean out the spray head each time just change the filter out when needed.

@@andrewcatimbang1509 Happens every time I drop a video they see the spike in sales and they cut the discount and even raise the overall price. Some do it for the money grab others do it to slow down buying as they will have a gap in inventory and the listing will go unavailable. It really does suck.
I think all that emptying out the product, rinsing the bottle, spraying it again is definitely faster than pumping a bottle
Thanks for another great review. Question. What is a really good compressor liquid sprayer that does not foam as well as a battery sprayer for liquid only. I am looking to use the DIY Rinse Less Wash product with a great sprayer that I do not have to pump manually. Also be able to spray a whole vehicle with initial pretreat and rinse and spray the vehicle a 2nd time for the contact wash and not run out of product.
I just edited this. I know this may be a funny question in light of how well these foam sprayers did for rinsless wash. I know these may be a possible answer for my question above. Also hope to get a recommendation for a batter compressor style unless these are the best sprayer for non foam to date.
When spraying non foaming type liquids like rinseless wash the compressor style vs electric pump style isn’t as important. Keav Im going to try the Lphianx Foamer based on your video. I watched your first videos on the Amazon cheap battery foamer and I bought one, but it didnt last long! Hopefully the Lphianx is more durable.
It’s a gamble anytime you buy and if these cheaper ones from brands nobody has heard of. One of the products works for me great and some others that bought early, but seems the next batch had higher defects than normal.
Oh my gosh Keav, you have a beautiful cat. Besides my love of detailing I am a cat daddy and I occasionally give treats to a few cats in a feral community, which is where I found my ginger fluff butt a few years ago. As for the detailing sprayers, I am most impressed with the Dpofirs sprayer.
Yeah, he showed up on our doorstep as a kitten. No way we were not going to take him in.

Which one would you recommend for a rinse less wash?
I personally would stick to sprayers meant for just liquids and not a foamer type. I really like the Fanttik NB8 which holds two gallons, but is more expensive. It has great pressure and covers quickly. I use it all the time amzn.to/4e5anfV The solo battery sprayers are great if you are looking for a smaller one. The neck allows you to put on most bottles so you can use a larger one if needed. amzn.to/3MRexf6

Until you explained the difference between the compressor style and this one, I didn't even realize there other options for electric spray foamers.
The small opening for the container would be the no for me but I also just bought the other one that you showed. Used it and even thinking of getting another ad it's that good. I don't think the compressor is loud and it auto pumps when it's low on pressure while using it.
This is a cool option, I can see if the noise is a factor and go with this one. Too bad the discount wasn't still on there when I looked earlier.

I know some of these are interchangeable to spray both but the liquid only ones would last a lot longer I presume.

Hey Keav! Happy Belated Father's Day Brother. I use the IK foamer and installed a shrader valve - keep my Ryobi tire inflator connected and set at 50psi ... it throws ALOT of foam. BTw - what rectangular chemical containers are those?
Thank You. I have a foam pro 2 plus with the shredder valve and have run a small inflator with a Velcro strap as well works great. There are some out there with 3d printer files to have brackets built to an inflator. IK is also coming out with a battery foamer later this year as well. What is your overall pick for the best one? The compressor foamed or the pump foamed
I prefer compressor style all day over pump style. Best one would be an IK foam pro 2 plus with an added inflator.

I was taking it apart to change the filter tip and accidentally hit the trigger while it was screwed all the way in. Hey, keav. I just realised there's one thing you forgot to do in your comparison.
It's flow rate. Fill the sprayers, set a 1 minute timer, spray them and measure the flow rate. Sometimes people just want to effectively put a product on their car and not overuse or waste their product. This could be a precedent for your future videos.
Though, what I'm really interested is the difference between ik foam pro 12 and ik multi pro 12. Haven't found any comparison with these 2 sprayers. On ik website they said ik multi pro 12 is 0.7 liter/minute. They never mentioned the flow rate of ik foam pro 12.
Since you have an ik e foam pro 12, can you help me figure out what the flow rate of it is? (Using the ik compressor with it is very much appreciated but if possible, compare it with the fanttik compressor. It would be interesting even though it probably won't be much different). It would be even more appreciated if you experiment the flow rate with orange and green tips.
If I get some time I’ll look into it if I could even find my colored siphon tips. Foam pro 12 will have a big difference I would think probably less flow as it’s pulsing to create foam and traveling through filters to help agitate. I don’t judge flow rate as much in these versus a foam cannon since no mixing is done at the nozzle. You control dilution which controls viscosity and that will Impact pull rate as well.

The blue and white one from Amazon comments say that it only works after 2 times of usage then wont work. Can you continue testing yours and provide your experience with it.
Update as of 11/4/24 | Mines won't turn on anymore after only 3 uses, charged it, filled it up, turned it on, the light came on, then faded out, with no sounds from the device being produced. Was good while it lasted
Mine is still used for every wash with Brake Buster diluted 5:1. I do believe there was a bad batch out there sometime after myself and some others got the first batches. Manufacturing tolerances are a gamble in these price ranges.
If you need any other ideas for more content, I'd love to see a test with rinseless washes and that hood you have. I keep hearing that rinseless washes are very lubricating and help prevent scratches and swirls, but I still don't trust them, specially when I see it used with a sponge. The buzzword I keep hearing is that it "encapsulates" the dirt, but you'd think it magically coats the grit with microscopic ppf by how some people describe it.
The test I'd like to see done is getting that hood to a swirl-free finish, leaving it outside for a couple of weeks to get very dirty, and then do a rinseless wash with maybe 3-4 different products (ONR, DIY Rinseless Wash, P&S Absolute, McKee's N-914) in different sections. Then inspect for swirls and marring.
Something to think about in a year when I polish off the Hydro Lite coating that is on this hood already. if you know what you are doing then you will minimize scratching with rinse less wash. In the end though anytime you touch your car you risk scratching no matter the process. Thats why I tend to just foam then rinse and then foam again and contact wash with media that is never returned to the soap bucket. Then leaf blow dry. My theory is the drying process is where the most scratching can occur so limiting that contact lowers your risk.

Between the two(black and yellow and grey top) which one would you buy? I’ve had the one with the light blue button for a month and it stopped charging/working. Now the grey top can be had for 30% off(4000mah) and black and yellow for 10% off, if price is not a concern between the two, is the pricier one better or they grey top is better? Thank you.
I actually like the gray one overall. It’s holding up well so far and at the right price you can buy almost two of them for the cost of the Black and Yellow one.

I have never tried that to know. Not sure it has the aeration to build up the foam as a paint sprayer is meant to not agitate the liquid.

I think I they would be fine P&S brake buster is a good wheel cleaner. I would make sure to clean the head out after each wash if using harsh wheel cleaners. Becca reached out via DM and was like have you seen these they are on discount right now. I’m like they have been sitting in my table for months now that is for reminding me. 🤣
I wouldn’t spray a car with this, I’d use these only for wheels/tires, in which case due to the chemical nature I’d lean towards the air compressor one.

When you say due to the chemical nature, is it just because you use basically straight foam with the electric sprayer, whereas with a compressor one you’re mixing with water?

@@fritomnky62 Same chemical dilutions just the compressor style forces the chemical out a tube and through the foam filter. The pump style pulls the chemicals through the pump
Itself which the chemicals could damage the pump internals such as gaskets and seals if not properly cleaned out after each use.
Nice.. I just wasted my money getting the last foamer you recommended last week.
The last foamer I reviewed is the better air compressor style that I show in this video. It is better in my opinion than this one.

@@myriadcorp Nice, if it’s a chemical that doesn’t foam good you can add a little foam soap to get the foam level up.
First order shipped from China did not arrive after 30 days so refund was issued. Second sprayer arrived after only four days but after charging with the recommended 5V mobile phone charger (Samsung) the sprayer would not function so was returned and a third sprayer is on the way. The instruction booklet is in Chinese with a terrible translation and the illustration are poor. Relied on a recent product review to explain the difference between the spray and foam configurations.
I hope the third one does the trick. There were hundreds who were refunded as the inventory got stuck in customs. I have heard a few others say they had charging issues I wonder if there was a bad batch with different batteries. I don’t expect much with these products when it comes to instructions or anything else really I expect it to be all in Chinese and hard to decipher. All part of the cheap product experience.
Garbage don't waist your money, bought 2 both craped out after 6-7 uses.
Sorry they didn’t work out for you. I never seem to experience these issues most of the time. Mine are still working without issue. I’ve even started doing two week abusive testing beforehand and 9/10 still work great, but still get comments saying they stopped working after a few tries. Maybe some really bad batches out there.
@CarsWithKeav thats why I bought the second one , now the battery doesn't charge completely. Have decided to look for one that can run on air compressor. Any suggestions.
@@johnsanderson2968 I’m afraid to make suggestions now. 🤣 I personally think the best way to go is an IK Foam Pro 2 plus with a tire inflator. IK is coming out with a new battery powered one which I tried at SEMA and it’s amazing. Looks like spring time it will be out. I made a few videos on converting pump foamers into battery foamers.

Ok so one of the worst things in this channel is , too verbose plus you spray like 10 microinches and speak for 20 mins.
How about aCTUALLY spraying atleast a half of a car so the viewer can actually know what the capacity of the sprayer is and how much time and liquid ( resources) would be needed and how much the sprayer would work if one needs it for a full car. I hope you understand the inanity of pulling out one panel of a car to spray unless you expect your viewers to also pull panels out and spray and talk for 20 mins before spraying another 10 microinches !
@@singhVarunVikram I got an idea maybe since you know so much about this to make those videos yourself? I understand what you’re saying, but these are not for using on a whole car unless you want a horrible experience. The amount needed for a car is all going to depend on the soap used and how well it foams. This video is more about how well it foams compared all the other ones I reviewed. To do a whole car I would use a bigger gallon to 2 gallon foamer like the Ik Foam Pro 12. I film videos the way I want as it’s my channel and not changing what I do for every person that wants it done a different way. If you don’t like it make your own videos.
I hate all of those.
They are not for everybody, but lots of other great choices out there.
