    thanks for the info! Debating if I should pick this up, or wait for their newer M12 model. Do you think this one would be too heavy for basic woodworking projects? I don't have any slim batteries so I'd be using one similar to you.

      Thanks for your comment. I do mostly basic woodworking projects with mine and, although I love the M12 line, I would prob choose the 18v version for two reasons: 1. battery life is so much better for typical nail driving usage, since each strike pulls a fair amt of energy and 2. power - the 18v is going to give you the power you need to drive those heads deep into hardwoods, etc whereas I don't know that will be the same on the 12v line...
      Again, I LOVE the 12v line with its small size and weight but prob wouldn't choose it for this particular tool...
