Dr. Peter Venkman visits Dana Barrett at the Museum and meets Dr. Janosz Poha and Vigo The Carpathian, whom he diagnoses with Carpathian Kitten Loss.
And a couple of years later Janosz got his green card, started a family and moved to work in a gallery in LA. It was there he met Mr Bean.
Who ruined his painting of Whistler's mother which is a good thing because the painting was possessed by her vengeful spirit.

I guess when they made the movie "Bean The Movie", the director was thinking of this movie where Janosz is the owner of this museum on this movie and Harris Yulin is the judge on this movie. For "Bean The Movie", Harris Yulin is the owner of the museum while Peter Macnicol named David Langley was the art museum curator.
@Robert Moore Another way we can think for this movie is that, Janosz found it dangerous to be a sorcerer and decided to be an art museum owner since Peter Macnicol was named Galen on the movie "Dragonslayer" who was studying to be a sorcerer.

I Remember this Painting Since i was Child in the 1990's i was Scared of this Painting in my Childhood lol :).
It should make a cameo appearance in some other movie,like people coming in to see an art show while the painting is being moved to storage.

I just now realize the connection between carpathian Vigo and the Titanics appearance during the movie. The Titanic survivors very rescued by a ship named "Carpathia".

Romantic era of art. A lot wasnt what you'd called romantic but the name refers to the period, the style of art and the overall themes. Also I think it refers to a time period specifically too.

If only Peter had painted that kitten GB2 would have went a whole different way. Vigo would have gone into chill mode. Probably sparked one in the painting dimension eating a bucket of KFC. The real villain would have been Lenny. His character didn't get the vote for governor and after he passed he sought revenge on NYC by making everyone vote for Trump.
