I'm an amature mechanic and used this video to fix my 98 Acura cl. I used a couple of your videos to work on my car, almost like I'm in class. Thanks a ton.
On the same side of the radiator where the transmission lines are, you should see a couple of threaded openings on the side of the tank that the lines should screw into. Hope this helps you out.
You may want to check the computer to see if there are any stored codes in it. You also may want to keep an eye on the water temperature to see if it's running hot.
You're welcome. Thanks for watching.
@edwelch4 As of right now we do not. You may want to check for a corroded connection, or a frayed wire somewhere that ties into that fuse. Either of those things could cause a fuse to blow.
You may want to check the spark plugs, and you could also changed the gad filter if you haven't done this yet.
@1aauto If it's an electrical fan on the vehicle that you have it could be a bad relay or sensor that tells the fan when to kick on.
@babylokita0514 The thermostat tells the radiator fan when to kick off and on so that it cools the motor down. If the thermostat doesn't work it could cause the motor to over heat.
@nooch812 If it's a mechanical fan it could be a bad fan clutch.
@MrMotoR6 You need to find where that steam is coming from. Look for loose or cracked hoses, loose radiator cap etc. If there is radiator fluid coming from a crack in the radiator then you need to replace it. Is the car running hot according to the temp gauge? If it is then you could have a bad thermostat or water pump.
@dodgerfan931 Depending on how hot it was on most vehicles it will run between 210-215 degrees. Not sure if it was boiling inside of the radiator. If you would like to change the fluid you should wait until the vehicle has cooled down.
@jtjoker95 You're quite welcome. We offer a great variety of parts on 1aauto.com at great prices!
@g19hoops83 Check your fuses first. If the fuses are OK then consider replacing the fans.
Usually the fan will only kick on once the car is hot. If you get it up to temperature. If should kick on for you.
You may want to see if the car has a hi/low relay in it. If it does one of them may be bad causing the car to get warmer than usual until the hi temp fan kicks on to bring the temps back down.
@nico27004 Using the proper size wrench would be ideal for the job, however if that's all that you have is an adjustable wrench, you may want to use one on the smaller side so that you can easily assess all of the bolts. Hope this helps you out.
There should only be one way that the fan mounts to the radiator.
you save my life!!! radiator change was so easy, i just unplug the necessary and works, thanks a lot bro!!!!!!!!!!!!
You may want to make sure that the clutch fluid is at the correct level.

Since they are universal you may need to make your own brackets.
@TrystShawn82 We currently do not have an auto repair video on this particular repair. We'll keep this in mind in the event that we need to make this repair in the future. We carry the Haynes repair manuals on our website that should show you how to make this repair. Here's a link to them on our website. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com/1A/repairmanual/Honda/Accord/1AMNL00031/219914/1994

Thank you
@edwelch4 if the fuse keeps blowing its a short in the electrics somewhere check the alternator
Universal fans can be installed the same way as this original fans? Or do you have to do something to make them fit?
do you have a video on the AC fan trouble shooting. My son's AC fan isn't running.
@omarcinho10 The crack will continue to grow. You need to replace the radiator.
I have a question I have a 07 Honda Accord LX V6 and it seems that is running a lil hot coolant level is full but when the car reaches operating temp both fans turn on loud but the AC is off is that normal or there is something wrong because I tought the fans would come on loud when AC is on? thank you
i need help what if i didnt have the thermostat fan what can happen????
I have a 95 civic ex coupe I have done everything but still need to have a bypass on my cooling fan any suggestions on what can it be
i have i4 engine accord 1995 ex. is the radiator fan on the diver side or passenger side?
Parts and maintenance at a mechanic shop would be roughly??? For a 1997 honda accord lx..
When watching this video remember the camera angle is reversed. Look at your car then look at this video. the battery spark plug wires distributer cap are going the other way. So make sure you are changing the fan you mean to change.
does this work on I4 engine 95 accord ex?
If the thermostat is not opening, would this cause the fan not to come on?
Is this the same for a 4cyl as well? I don’t have a v6 I have a 94 accord 4cyl 2.2 vetc
+YUNG_5W1Z5Y It may be a different procedure on your application. We currently do not have an auto repair video for this particular year, make and model. Thank you for asking. 1aauto.com
my fuse still good. but when i turn the car, the radiator fan doesnt go on. is it because of the fan or something else? please help.
Have 97 Acura Cl 3.0 keeps overheating checked radiator fluid ok, fan has been replace, but still overheats
+mauiboy444 Thank you for checking us out. It could be a thermostat or the engine coolant temperature sensor. 1aauto.com
i have a 1995 honda passport put a new cluch and it still slips wehen it gets hot
Hi i replaced a radiator and some kind of oil came out. What could this be.
What if is just one fan doesnt work? The one front of the radiator. Tercel 97'
You may want to see if there's power going to it. If the fan motor is bad, you should be able to replace the fan.
