NIRF rankings are purely based on pass percentages and not based on academic merits of the institution

BITS Pilani is a college of IITs level first of all. Another thing is that THE LNMIIT is not on the list which has observed an average package of 11.3 LPA with a total of 95% of students placed.

1.bits pliani cannot be at no 3 that too below thapar nd vit
2. Ssn college made it but how didn't psg coimbatore not make it 🤷♂️
3.bangalore based colleges like rvce, pes, Ms ramaiah or BMS r quite better colleges in terms of student intake nd average packages... How didn't they make it in though they r on the top in terms of nirf ranking?!? ... (don't only consider the campus size nd infrastructure... They r 2ndary... Education is primary)
4. I personally feel manipal should have been above srm nd amity!

Placing BITS Pilani under Thapar and VIT Vellore is like placing IITB under IITM and IITD. Every one knows it but no one believes it😂😂

It is BIT mesra and it is one of the finest engineering college in india and i dont know how SRM is ranked above iiit hydrabad in nirf 😂😂😂 My suggestion is just treat nirf rankings as a tissue paper and nothing else.
Ffs iiit Hyderabad is compared with the top 5 iits and here they are ranked so less😂
See only placement is not seen in,when making nirf ranking like research published also be taken under consideration and many other factors,in research vit and maybe srm are above bits.
And at the end of the day we don't need ranking to prove bits better than vit,it's a known fact.

bits pilani is no1 always. The reason vit is no1 in this case is about research papers,facilities,infrastructure and lab facilities But this doesnt tell us about the student quality, bits is way ahead in terms of student quality and placements but vit is ahead in research and facilities.

IIT madras, NIT tiruchy, VIT vellore all are in tamil nadu. local students will be less than 10%. Reason is iit nit we can be placed in other states too, but we only aim for a seat in anna university Or affiliated college which will be in tn oly. We don't take risk to go other state for education. I really admire brave students from other states who come here without any problem.

1. BITS PILANI
2.VIT Vellore
3. TIET
4. SRM University
5. BIT Meesra
IMO . BIT Mesra should be no 2 . Peer quality and culture is better there than SRM.

Amity aur srm me 2 se 3 lakh per year dekar agar u r getting average of 3 lakh to bakwas hai college isase accha kahi bhi saste college se padho aur training institute me jaise vector india , cdac indo german tool aurangabad aur bhi acche training institute hai waha se 6 month training lo acche se jo ki college me 4 saal me ni sikhaya jata waha 6 month me knowledge with practical karwa dete hai aur placement bhi

People in comment section can't stomach the fact that VIT is ranked higher than BITS Pilani. May be because, they think that the only parameter upon which a college should be judged, is by the avg salary offered in its campus. This is analogous to judging a car solely upon its mileage.
The reality is, HRD ministry doesn't gives a two hoots about avg salary offered in a campus. It ranks colleges based upon the quality of service which they provide to their customers, for which they are charging premium money. AND THATS HOW IT SHOULD BE, in my opinion.
