My local fisheries are Lake Hamilton and Lake Ouachita in western central Arkansas. To say they are pressured (especially Hamilton) is a huge understatement. Weekends are usually insane considering the vast number of anglers, ski boats, pontoon boats, and personal water craft. There was so much water traffic on Hamilton this past weekend that even with no wind there was a roughly 1-2 foot chop on the main parts of the lake. Pretty rough riding in the 16' Express I was in. But, considering the time of year it is currently, that's the way it is. Always make sure your PFD is in good shape and use that kill switch anytime the big engine is running. Stay safe out there and good luck. Thanks for the positivity and good fishing advice you always give. It's much appreciated. 👍🇺🇸
Those popping frogs are something I need to get some more of. That gurgling action just has something special going on. Can’t wait for a frog bite to get going here!
A popping frog has really been super-productive for me. I never used them as much as a traditional topwater frog, but once I adjusted my methods I find they are great tools for specific areas.
Saw your vid on catching bass behind people who fished an area, using shad scent. I bought some and gave plenty of bass the sore mouth. I Googled DIY bait scent recipes and chose to make my own rather than burning up a quarter tank of gas plus over $7.00 for a shot glass worth of scent. My 10 min simmered sardines in oil along with a cup of Canola oil, remove the sardines and add a teaspoon of garlic powder and half tsp of salt did the trick. I strained the mixture into the washed out shad scent bottle and kicked bass two nights in a row on a heavily fished POA lake bank. First night 15, second night 20. I catch them late afternoon and can hardly wait for dark to show up. Thanks for the tip. A lifetime of practicing my casting is over, now it's catching not practicing my cast.
This technique works perfectly for my conditions. We just moved 5 months ago to northern Kentucky. I just found a small lake 19 minutes from me. I've had my boat on it twice and just did an idle around because that's all you can do on this little lake. I know nothing about this lake in fact, i didn't even know it existed. The locals dont like it they say fishing is terrible here. I like a challenge. Im going to study the lake and try different techniques. Maybe it doesn't have any fish, i can't believe a lake wouldn't have fish. It has some really good-looking lay downs and rocks, my favorite type of structure to fish, we don't have grass or hydrila. We will see what happens. Joe
Slop mats are one of the best places to find fish in the summer. The ones floating out in the middle of the lake can be just as good as the ones along the bank.
The only water close to me is a city made "lake" it's a pond but that's southwest US things. When I go to fish I look days ahead at a couple fishing apps for best day and major feeding time to go
Never watched any videos from you before, honestly clicked on the video to get a laugh thinking it was gonna be the typical guy fishing a pond and telling you to use a wacky rigged senko as the tips for heavily pressured fisheries lol. Boy was I wrong good tips and I’ll sub man just to help ya out bc it seems you work hard on these videos. Don’t get me wrong about senkos they catch them in the spring time for sure but, there is something cringey about those guys who comment on videos that say they hate jigs bc they never catch anything on them and always throw just a wacky rigged senkos, well yeah if you would fish bigger fisheries and not grandma and grandpas pond then you would prolly be more versed than just pond hopping.
I dont really see many people where I fish. I fish a river that connects to Lake Erie and its got the reputation of being a crappy river. All I hear is people saying to avoid it. I live 10 minutes away. I started kayak fishing in late August and fished until November and caught 112 bass. They were decent sized fish. I went today for my 1st time out this year and caught a rock bass, smallie, largemouth and 2 sheephead in a few hours. So let people think its sucks! 😂. The river was coated in cottonwood seeds though. What a pain! Any advice or lures/baits for fishing when the water is covered in the stuff? Gonna try some texas rigs or shakeyheads tomorrow. The old school tube jig and a crankbait was the ticket today.
Move around he says 😂 my lake is so tick infested even if i skunk i am staying in the clear areas yet the bushy ares are some great darn spots but I've taken home enough ticks get home strip and still have a tick somewhere sneaky little buggers.. So what'd i do went and brought a quest angle 10ft boat from dicks. Now the guys who crowd me and the ticks can see me creating wakes... thanks for the info subbed.
Yep, I have been watching Lowbrow for several months now and I am constantly amazed that he ISN'T just another lure company commercial disguised as a TH-cam content creator who "cares" about your angling success. He actually gives good, honest fish catching content without any kind of hidden commercial agenda trying to get money from anyone. Personally, I think it's a really good channel to watch for the simple reason of catching fish. 👍🇺🇸
Is you local fishery jam-packed with other anglers?
Yes, especially since the weather is warming up.
Yes. Gotta go early now. By 9-10, the lake fills up with jet skis and water skis.
I blame social media lol
I gotta say, I love that little boat. Nothing fancy, just perfect! I need to keep an eye out for one super cheap.
I love my little boat!
These are tips I can use! Thanks for keeping it honest for those of us who don't have a ton of money for fancy gear
Thanks so much for watching!

Thanks for sharing! It can get pretty crazy out there!
I know what you mean, I live in Hope Ar. And fish both a lot and to say they are pressured is definitely an understatement
There is so many more people out there these days. It makes me happy that I have my little dock all to myself
That's awesome!
I saw a YT vid on what repells / attracts fish. I applied that info and increased my chance of catching fish.
That's great!

Breaking down a new fishery can be rough, but it can also be a lot of fun!

Agreed! Fish will use anything available to them.
best bass fishing video
thanks!
Thank you so much!

That's a good way to do it!
The second I learned to constantly move on the bank, my rates improved by a lot.
Agreed!
Good tips brother.
Thanks! I appreciate you watching!
Some really helpful information! Thank you buddy!
Thanks! Your continued support is super appreciated!
A pop r is one of my favorite baits. Caught a hundred fish easy with one.
They are great baits!
Im starting to fish riskier areas with cheaper baits and hardware (just in case i get snagged) and it is paying dividends.
That's a great way to do it!

Where are yu located?
I'm in South Mississippi.
We've talked about this before.. lol
I like to be thorough!

Normally, im the only one on the lake here in pa
That must be nice!
So let me get this straight, you're not trying to get me to buy a lure or some fancy new piece of gear that I don't have the money for?
Haha! Technique over tackle!

20 plus boats on weekends not including the yackers and the lake is only 225 sq acre. Someone always there fishing there.
It gets crowded out there for sure!
