    I think buying the Accord is all about buying one of the finest engines in the world...buying the Camry is all about passenger comfort and waftability...😀

    At first I don't like this Accord. But then I have a new friend and he drove the 2.4 version, I start to admire it more. Agree the 2.0 rim is unattractive and this turn my head away. 2.4 rims looks good. I droved the 2.4, the size and built quality is pretty good, my friend drove it pass 300k with no much major issue apart of power steering pump change, aircond need re-gas, and a bit thirsty in town. The vtec kick is really significant at about 4.5k, it just pulls. Its a great car.

    how times have changed...would love buttons to make a come back on dashboards rather than confusing and attention sapping touch screens...

      Agreed, but I think the button fest on this Accord's dash does look messy.

    I really like the perdana design rather than 8 gen accord. It look more modern.

    Hi, this is last batch of accord using double wish bone. So how does it compare to much newer of Camry double wish bone at the rear?

    Throwback review on Camry hybrid 2.5 which launched back in 2015. It was best D segment back then comparable to continental with 205 hp and loaded with full suite of kits.

      You'd be surprised. Holding more or less same as the Camry 2.0. Better than 2.4 even.

    Hi Kon, if we sell the car before a year, do we get a refund for the extended warranty already paid?

    • @KonWaiLuen
      @KonWaiLuen  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope. But the warranty will follow the car to the next owner, which can be a selling point for you.

    I am currently considering between facelifted 7th gen accord 2.4, facelifted 8th gen accord 2.4 and facelifted camry xv40 2.4V. Which one is the best to buy in 2020? Currently i am leaning towards 2011-2012 camry 2.4 because it looks good in & out and have keyless entry. Is it worth the extra price?

    • @KonWaiLuen
      @KonWaiLuen  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Accord drives better, but Camry is super luxurious in feel. Suspension more durable too.

  • @seanloh367
    @seanloh367 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    How about the 9th gen Accord? 😆

  • @muaazrahim4957
    @muaazrahim4957 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Is it worth it to get the Perdana 2.0 for around 60k with 40k milleage? Am lookimg for a comfort car for a small family. Brand new c-segment will get the job done but the Perdana looks is very mengancam. Safety features also i found that the Perdana 2.0 is lack off. Quite hard to decide 🤔

    • @KonWaiLuen
      @KonWaiLuen  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you dont mind slightly older, can consider a 2014 Accord 2.0. Newer generation model with better safety but same engine.

    The XV40 honestly was closer to a Merc than a Toyota. That interior was fantastic when it came out and till today, is one of the best - you know it when the XV50 depreciated heavier than the XV40. Having cross shopped the Camry and Accord back in the day, the 2.4s basically were so close - the Camry lost side bags, but gained projector xenon lights, while the Accord made do with the reflectors and got the side bags - both ran the 5 speed auto (though I want to say the dinosaur 4 speed in the XV40 2.0 that got carried to the XV50 too was definitely more ... aggressive to shift down). Imagine, back in 07/08, peak of the financial crisis - Camry sales were so strong, especially if you wanted that signature bluish-silver they used in the ads, you waited 6+ months.
    But one thing - take a Camry of that era, turn it on, and just get in and close the door. The level of insulation and comfort in that thing is ridiculous and honestly, made the XV50 feel cheap - and this wasn’t just in our Malaysian ones, even the American one was the exact same thing.
    Btw, can you do the Sonata (especially the YF / NF predecessor) and the XV40 / 50 Camry next? Really enjoying the series thus far

    • @KonWaiLuen
      @KonWaiLuen  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Was already planning the Sonata, but will throw in Camry as well. Thanks for the suggestion!

    • @royalprince5878
      @royalprince5878 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      My dream car was XV40 when I was Standard 6. I sat in a few. I can guarantee you the interior comfort, sound insulation and ride comfort are next to nothing. C-Class loses to it. XV40 is close to E-Class. Yet I feel Camry is better. I don't know what happened to Camry why succeeding models lost its quality as you implied

    • @royalprince5878

      What do you think about XV70? Current Camry? Is it better than XV40?

    • @JustinHor
      @JustinHor 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Looks wise XV50 looks more contemporary compared to XV40.

    • @KonWaiLuen
      @KonWaiLuen  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I love how the XV70 drives, but the XV40 is still a better luxury car.

      This variant wasn't very popular because of its high road tax. They discontinued it after the facelift.
