  • Former President of the United States, Ronald Reagan, once said and I quote; "We don't have a trillion-dollar debt because we haven't taxed enough, we have a trillion-dollar debt, because we spend too much". Could this be the lot of Nigeria, as the debt profile of the country continues to rise?
    This has pushed Nigeria up the World Bank’s top 10 International Development Association, IDA borrowers’ list. According to World Bank Fiscal Year 2022 audited financial statement, Nigeria is now rated fourth position on the list, with 13 billion dollars debt stock, as of 30th of June, 2022, from fifth and 11.7 billion dollars debt stock in June, 2021. #DebtProfile #DebtManagement #Stock #IfeanyiOkowa #apc #apcpresidentalprimaries #2023presidency #2023Elections #DeborahEmmanuel #NnamdiKanu #IPOB #2023Presidency #Russia #Ukraine #UkraineCrisis #RussiaInvadesUkraine #TVCNews #TVC #News #NaijaNews #NaijaGist #Entertainment #NewsUpdate #BreakingNews #NewsInNigeria #NewsInNigeria #TH-cam #Video #TodaysNews #TodaysVideo #NigeriaNews #TrendingGists #TH-cam #TrendingVideo #abbakiyari #abbakiyaricase #PresidentBiden #VladmirPutin #TVCNews #NewsUpdate #BabjideKoladeOtitoju #2023Presidency #2023Elections #APC #JournalistsHangout #TVCNews #NewsUpdate #businessnews #onlinenews #latestnews #todaynews #2023election #election #2023presidency #latestnews #onlinenews #todaynews #9janews #NewsUpdate #onlinenews #todaynews #9janews #latestnews #2023Presidency #NewsUpdate #IssuesWithJide #Buhari #TH-cam #Video #DailyNews #BreakingNews #IPOB #Biafra #Tinubu #NnamdiKanu #FemiFalana #NigeriaNews #2023Election #TrendingNews #9jaNews #PDP #APC #DailyNews #NewsToday #9jaNews #politicstoday #Otitoju #BabajideOtitoju #JournalistHangout #BukolaSaraki #Otitoju #GovernorSanwoOlu #NewsNigeria #TrendingVideo #AsiwajuBolaAhmedTinubu #BolaTinubu #BolaAhmedTinubu

This is the reason why APC deserves sacking. The election of Tinubu will be extremely disastrous for Nigeria.

From the 1.3 billion dollars borrowed, 1.4 billion Naira was gifted to some foreign countries while citizens have to pay through their nose for food and transport; not forgetting the Asuu strike. Is Nigeria cursed?

“How did we get here?” This is what a country gets when you appoint “empty heads” people without the slightest clue of anything to critical positions in government leadership. Nigerians voted for a leader who is leading them with impunity. He doesn’t care, doesn’t shake, he’s not bordered. He doesn’t even act as if he is part of the country. Why would he care? His family doesn’t even live in Nigeria. Nigerians be ware, don’t let this happen again.

Farmers have more common sense than Nigerian politicians except Mr. Peter Obi.
A grain of corn or maize will produce more than 100 grains.
Nigerian politicians spend money on infrastructure for aesthetics.
Infrastructure projects should yield at least 100 folds the money spent.
Infrastructure projects and oil revenue sharing is what Nigerian politicians are good at.

It will be hard for whomever is elected as president next year. The cost of governance is killing this country. Increase minimum wage, take away petrol subsidies (the petrol that is being illegally sold to neighboring countries), sell those refineries to private entities, and reduce the cost of governance. Unfortunately, the party that removes petrol subsidy will suffer a great loss in subsequent elections.

Those are the back benchers who don't know what is happening in class. It's like saying Tony came last, Mike came last and Sisi is also at the bottom of the class so I'm okay. Those ignorant economists should ask themselves what kind of economy Nigeria is? Nigeria is a consuming economy. She produces next to nothing. It is true that the United States has a lot of debt but guess what, most countries domicile their external reserves in dollars. Your crude account and all are all domiciled in dollars. You don't do anything without the US dollars. You feed their economy and strangle yours. It means you can't and should never compare Nigeria to some countries especially the US. Nigerian economists should do better. Well done guys! The media in Nigeira has woken up and it is quite an impressive sight. The conversations are relevant.

Borrowing is not bad as it may sound. Nigeria needs to improve on its infrastructures for economy improvement and earnings. Nigeria has to borrow for us to attract foreign investments and fight insecurities she's currently facing. It will not be okay to borrow for paying salaries and subsidies of any kinds. It's about time for government to remove all subsidies that includes gasoline, education and others. Governments should look into helping less privileged citizens through grants, loans and grantee loans. It's about time to stop subsiding billionaire, millionaires with gasoline and fertilizer.

Can anyone tell the measures the president has taken to improve things in Nigeria? Any legislations? Any bills signed? What about the manufacturing sector in Nigeria? Is there anything like that? Any news about education? Next step is to hand over a fucked up country to someone else. Do the northern leaders still think that the country belongs to them? In addition, the whole of Africa owe China just above $27 billion dollars, Nigeria owe China just over $3 billion dollars, that's nothing compared to our GDP of $511 billion dollars plus GDP a year. Nigeria is now targeting another $500 billion dollars additional GDP by 2035. While every may not look rosy and l can understand peoples frustration we are making progress. There's money in Nigeria the problem is; the money is in the hands of a few. Money of that money needs to be circulated amongst our people to uplift their living standards. In terms of infrastructures we are on the right track.
