Popa Chubby’s guitar playing is SO unique & creative, he can blow most other guitarists right OFF THE STAGE without even trying!
Really love the way he sits there at the beginning, jamming out some idle licks, and before you know it he's merged smooth as silk into a brilliant rendition of an old classic. This guy could make anything sound good!

Thanks to You Tube, in the past two weeks, I discovered Popa Chubby. His Hey Joe is just sublime. I'm pleased that now I can hear so much more. He's by all accounts big in France. I live here now so I'm going to go and see him asap.

Ahh...Popa.......took a chance at a small club in Teaneck NJ in 2001 and saw him .....awesome ......great original underground blues guy at the time who deserves more recognition. He keeps it real.

Heard Poppy Chubby for the first time on a Maui radio station in 1995 (I'm F.B.I). They played 'Sweet Goddess of Love and Beer'. Went to the local
record/tape/cd store in Kailua village and bought the cd. Been a fan from moment one. Truly great guitarist.
Blessed are we that enjoy his god given sounds. Thanks be in his blessings, these are earned. Rock on papa,rock on🤗💪
