Is it crazy that this was actually my first introduction to Star Wars as a kid before I even saw the original live action movies
George Lucas was a big fan of family guy at the time, so when Seth McFarlane asked to parody the movies, George basically said "go nuts"
Fun part about the actual movies: when questioned about the whole Lando wearing Han's clothes thing, Billy Dee Williams, Lando's actor, actually said they were lovers. It's a little cheeky but it's a fun response.
Alwats hated the "I think the Cleveland Show is gonna do the prequels" because we never got it. The show was underrated, and kinda tackled serious topics better than FG.
An interesting thing that Family Guy got wrong in their adaptation which most fans actually get wrong, Luke didn't want to leave Tatooine to fight the Empire, he wanted to join them. He said he wanted to go to train as a pilot at the academy, he wanted to go to an Imperial Academy to train as a TIE fighter pilot like a lot of his friends.
Phineas and Ferb have a two part Star Wars special!! It's amazing meta humor, and has musical numbers (because P&F) that you never knew you needed in your life! I would love to see y'all react to that one!
I love how McFarlane and Green just shit on each other back to back and continue to this day. That right there is a true friendship

Actually, Stormtroopers did start off as clone troopers but the empire slowly phased them out with citizens from across the galaxy who enlisted to serve.

Sir Alec Guinness played old Obi Wan in the original trilogy. He allegedly didn't care much for that role; not hate it outright, but he still considered it a step down from his previous work.

The death star explosion with the energy ring was added by lucas during one of his many re-releases and edits. The original was just a classic practical explosion. It's called the Praxis effect because it appeared in Star Trek: The Undiscovered Country in 1996, when that planet exploded.
