    This is a little scary, take a measly 5 volts and turn it into 55 volts! Must be magic right! Be careful!

    You should look at some of Julian I Lett videos,he does a lot with buck converters,I think every time a new one comes out he does a video on them or builds a power supply kits,which have been very helpful to me .I done both built and bought pre made back converters,still playing with them,I just need to buy a power supply.but the kits are cheaper

    lets say i have "12v wall plug, spliced and connected to the converter..i can then adjust the output to whatever the total draw of my project and once it's met, i can begin building..?

    Is it possible to increment the power of that board so the up3-330 will not get hot? Because i have one with a up2b-4r7 and that thing after awhile gets hot!

    So whats gonna happen if V out is set eg to 30V, and the input voltage will be 40V? Is the booster gonna step the 40V down to 30V?

    • @stevenbliss989
      @stevenbliss989 ปีที่แล้ว

      NO WAY, the output will sit at Vin - diode (0.7) === so for 40V you will get 39.6V output. If you want to go up/down you need to get the SEPIC version of the XL6009 board/.

    i replaced the100k 25 turn multi turn pot with a normal 100 normal 270 degree trimpot. the 25 trimpot is really stupid and you need a screwdriver and there is no knob for it anywhere?

    • @joecox9958

      you are so smart to change a more valuable precise multi-turn pot to a cheap rough 270 degree pot

    You're NOT going to feel 50V dc coming out of that boost converter. Even if it claims to do 4A, the resistivity of your skin will not let the voltage get high enough to pass any significant amperage. I know this is an old video but it was recommended to me just now.

    • @joecox9958
      @joecox9958 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      international safety std is 36V. so your comment is incorrect. you no need 4A to be sensible.

    cool.. gonna try use my 4s lifepo4 20Ah to charge my 10s li-ion ebike battery on the fly.
    12.8v 4A should give 42v 1A at 80% efficiency.. more of a battery saver, range extender scenario.
    Also thinking to use it as a solar charge controller, 60W 18v panel to 24v battery bank.

      5volt * 1Amp = 5 watts. Output is ideally equal to 5 watts at 100% efficiency. (I*V) =W so
      5v/55v = .0909 amps
