The thing about Finnish solitude is that it's liberating. Finns shy away from a lot of social norms as is as they don't really do small talk, they respect your private space and they don't mind the silence at all, but they are absolutely some of the most communal/hospital people out there provided you respect their culture.

Hello Eva. Thanks so much for taking me to meet Janita; I thought I lived an 'off the grid' lifestyle as a self employed musician (I live very frugally) but she was amazing. Hi Eva, imagining your travels in a van is comforting. The fulfillment in your purpose isn't defined by your means of travel. Believing that the modern-day conveniences of Van Life is more or less deserving to YOUR purpose isn't something to fret about. Oprah said, "Become what you believe." I guess we all deal with loneliest in many different ways. What may be lonely to you might not be so lonely to someone else. Harriet and I spent a little time in Lapland in summer and not winter. Today , we are not so lonely as far as communication is concerned. we have internet. Mindful and Connected is what makes the loneliest place in Europe inviting. Mission accomplished ! Eva. Be Well. Be Safe! Stay Healthy ! 🙏 Jim , Harriet and Yuki
Greetings from Scotland! Janita is absolutely right! The only person who can really hold you back is YOU! IF you really want anything, then you have to go for it and believe in yourself! 😊 Loneliness is relative, because it is not the quantity of friends you have but the quality of your friends, trust between you and knowing that you will help each other without question or hesitation. My best friend (since my youngest son passed) has always been there for me. I know I can phone him from anywhere in the world and he will try to help me without question and he knows I will do the same for him. We may only meet face to face once in a year but it is always like it was just yesterday we met last. Thank you for a wonderful video Eva! 👍👍😊😊
Thank you Eva for sharing this amazing experience. The place is indeed remote but beautiful. The scenic views of places you travel through, makes the viewer think as though, you are the one visiting those places. The quality of the videos is always astonishing. Be safe out there.
Thank you Eva for sharing this special video. I have been following your channel for a while now and this one is of my favourite. Keep up your amazing journey. May God gives you many more blessings as you touch many people lives.
I'm actually debating between a truck and a van but I really need a home that has it all while still being mobile. A truck/jeep allows offroading but I feel I could just park the van somewhere and hike or bike into the real remote places. So in short: get a van!
Great video, such a good example that solitude does not necessarily mean loneliness. And the music in this video was EXCELLENT, thank you! No subtitles needed :)
An Eva Zu Beck video on a Thursday morning. Drop everything you are doing and watch immediately. 😂 Hiding in my office and watching. 🤫 Aww. Watching you feed the reindeer was lovely. They are such gentle beings. ❤ PS: eSim??? OMG! Game changer!
You're definitely living a dream. Something that I had always wanted to do. I'm American and the first time I went to Europe was with the army, absolutely loved it, this was 99-00. Always wanted to do something like this, but got tied down becoming a husband and father. We now have retired to France, so have started to expand our global travel, but it's not as carefree as something like when you're young. Enjoy yourself.
My son has Lap blood history, and oh geez, does he look like them. I Still have my Alaska Ship Supply Sweatshirt from Dutch Harbor! Loved that mug! Luv you!
LOVE Finland! As an American doing defense work there, I was captivated by “sisu” and their capacity for toughness, being one with the frigid outdoors, SAUNAS, and ability to live next door to…Russia. Asked to explain “sisu,” one female waiter in Helsinki said, “it means…balls.” The US embassy in Helsinki, does their 4th of July celebration, traditionally a huge deal in every US embassy abroad, NOT on the 4th, if I remember before May 2, because on that date most of Finland is up north! Nobody would be around. So we show respect and conduct the big event much earlier to accommodate the Finnish culture. Ask any Finn about the 1939 Winter War…in the face of insurmountable odds, they held off 22 Soviet divisions. That’s sisu… 🇫🇮
I just got my own Vilk named Nalu. Im so in love with her!! The first video I watched was the one in Mongolia. I have since watched all of your videos. I want to be you when I grow up 😆 even though I'm older than you. You're amazing!!
I’m a Christian and I kind of love sword earrings that look like a cross…it’s a great visual of fighting the good fight. (PS I never really noticed your earrings or thought much about them…I mean the places you visit are way more interesting than earrings. 😆)

Love your work Eva❤😊
Thank you Eva for sharing this amazing experience. The place is indeed remote but beautiful. The scenic views of places you travel through, makes the viewer think as though, you are the one visiting those places. The quality of the videos is always astonishing. Be safe out there.
Thank you for showing us this beauty, Eva!
Thank you Eva for sharing this special video. I have been following your channel for a while now and this one is of my favourite. Keep up your amazing journey. May God gives you many more blessings as you touch many people lives.
I love watching your adventures. Thank-you for sharing your incredible journeys.
This is one of My favorite. videos of yours. Peaceful magical place on earth
I LOVE your life. Your travels inspire me so much.
I'm actually debating between a truck and a van but I really need a home that has it all while still being mobile. A truck/jeep allows offroading but I feel I could just park the van somewhere and hike or bike into the real remote places. So in short: get a van!
I get exited every time Eva post something new ❤ who gets exited?! 🙋🏽♀️✨ Positive vibes to everybody here 💗 Eva take care of yourself 😘 Be brave 😎
Your adventures make my day better. Thanks for the reminder.
100 percent positive energy video! Absolutely love this one.❤
Thanks for putting in all the extra effort and time to edit, film, upload and narrate all of your adventures and thoughts.
Wonderful ending to such a magnificent video. 👏👏👏
Wow thank you so very much. Your travels and videos are amazing and they also inspire
My son has Lap blood history, and oh geez, does he look like them. I Still have my Alaska Ship Supply Sweatshirt from Dutch Harbor! Loved that mug! Luv you!
I do love all your videos in Scandinavia. And this one has something more special. I had the feeling to be there. Thank You a lot . 🌹🌹
Thank you! You make such heartwarming and passionate videos I look forward to each new adventure you experience and share!
Very educational. More than any history book, "lives agreed upon". Congratulations on very beautiful and educational videos. God Bless
I just got my own Vilk named Nalu. Im so in love with her!! The first video I watched was the one in Mongolia. I have since watched all of your videos. I want to be you when I grow up 😆 even though I'm older than you. You're amazing!!
Thank you Eva for bearing the cold and giving us a glimpse of this beauty.
You are so creative and talented. I hope you feel joyful always.
i have to be honest some times i take a break from watching your channel , i always come back and peek rejoin and am grateful of your wisdom on life
I’m a Christian and I kind of love sword earrings that look like a cross…it’s a great visual of fighting the good fight. (PS I never really noticed your earrings or thought much about them…I mean the places you visit are way more interesting than earrings. 😆)
I love this style of video, interviewing people in special places who made remarkable choices! Keep ‘m coming 🙏🏻
