To me, Vulcain nailed it. Unlike the Oris 65 and every other retro dive watch. Vulcain's watch is incredibly convincing as a genuinely old diver. The aged lume is spot-on. It doesn't have the faux patina look about it at all. would be hard pressed to pick this watch out as the new watch in a group of original 60's watches. Just based on your video, Vulcains bezel action is way better than the Oris 65 too. If you want a vintage looking skin diver for under 2k; I can't think of a better watch.
I like a lot of these vintage inspired watches, especially when they keep the compact dimensions 🙂 Here I can see a problem to me : the patina of the lume is not the same on the dial as on the hands... that keep catching my eyes 🤷♂ And I would definitely choose another bracelet because I don't like this "carbon imitation". By the way, I understand that people ask for a sapphire crystal, especially at this price, but if it is not perfect (like a bad antireflective coating) I prefer an acrylic crystal which is pretty much unbreakable and has the lowest degree of reflection 👍 It is quick and easy to polish, and very affordable to replace.
Love everything but that shiny ceramic bezel. Looks out of place on a vintage reissue. It would be great if manufacturers gave customers the option of different bezel materials.
I do like the look of this watch. But!!! This reminds of the diver from wise watches, but much better finishing, better lume, 904 steel, nicer dial and comes with a bracelet. Which you can buy 2.5 of those watches for the price of this one. Way, way too expensive.
Hi. I’m not sure which Wise you are referring to but I see they use Miyota movements. While good movements Vulcain use Swiss ETA 2824. And they regulate it. Also producing in Switzerland isn’t cheap.
@TimeAndCrown well I don't consider the 2824 superior and certainly not that much more expensive. And wise only builds your watch after you order it so the movement is regulated. Again nice watch but overpriced for what you get.

Vulcain got most of it right for this watch. 38mm, 20mm lug, 12.2mm thick. Perfect everyday watch.

I agree on the lume. Their sister brand Nivada Grenchen has the same lume issues. My Super Antarctic is even worse.

Cool but what a saturated market this is. There are SO many others to chose from, many at lower price points.
