Just placed an order for some 1.35 bora spacers! Hope to see them soon, looking forward to installing them and getting rid of this scrubbing with my new 35s.
Running the 3 inch ready lift level kit on 37 inch Nitto’s on my 22 GMC 2500. The only issue I have is a little rub on the frame. If I go with the 1.35 or 2 inch spacer will it start to rub on outside front or rear fender? Excellent video tho!
Taylor thanks for reaching out! looks like if you go with 37's on a 3" , you should have little to no clearance issues with the 1.35" spacers buddy. it will pull it away from hitting the frame/sway bar components just enough. every truck sits differently though but worst case, its a very small modification to the front/rear of the fender well.
Depends who makes them, not the ones we offer from BORA. They are precision machined to work on the front & rear perfectly Shoot us a email if you want a set, i can dial you in SCOVELMOTORSPORTS@GMAIL.COM
@@americanduramax I’m wanting a set of the 3/8” bora spacers. I have my truck leveled and stock wheels and 37x12.5’s and they rub the upper arm pretty bad at about 3/4 turn. Can you get them cheaper than $89 a piece?
The high offset is part of the reason, yes sir. When you get a high offset wheel like factory +44 , it brings the wheel inward. While oem 20’s will fit many lift kits, its the larger tire sizes like 35x12.50 and 37x13.50 that will start to hit suspension components & also rub frame/sway bar at full lock Wheels like OEM 17’s won’t fit on many lift kits because they’ll hit stuff like the tie rods and/or other components because they are too small & sit too far in because of the high offset All aftermarket wheels of all sizes start at around +20 offset because of these reasons. I haven’t seen a single wheel made in the aftermarket that is in the +30’s or +40’s because of these clearance issues Hopefully i answered that as best I could
Dealer told me, in Pennsylvania, you can only run 1/4 inch max for spacers. Yet I see so many truck with obviously more than that. Do they just take them off for DOT inspection?
They can’t make them hub centric in the 1/4” size, they aren’t safe so we only offer 3/8” as the smallest spacer buddy Idk why they’d say that. 1/4” isn’t hub centric and will cause lug nuts to break off, people have that happen all the time. Wheel needs to be centered on the hub
@americanduramax Thank you ! They did put 1/4 inch on it. But I still get a slight rub on the upper control arm. So I'm going with 3/8 hub centric, all around.
Not sure how i missed this comment 3 months ago! Not a ton of trimming at all, very easy to fit that! we got kelderman fender caps that help with this as well. let me know if we can answer any other questions if you havent got anything yet
My f250 2018 lariat tubo diesel 6.7 fx4 has a 6inch lift on toyo tires 37x13.5 on17x9.0 wheels. I wanted to put on 2inch spacers but no cutting anything , so I guess I am not, right???
We get them hub centric front and rear but technically you dont need them in the rear like that. these come that way anyways so they can be ran front or rear
What do you recommend for a 2023 1500 wanting to do a zone 4” or rough country 6inch have adaptive ride control and wanting to run 35x12.50r20 with zero offset. I want just a tad bit of poke past the fender but that’s it. Not trying to throw rocks all over the side of the truck. Please also respond with link to products in response.
Do those extended lug nuts also work on stock wheels for AT4's and Trail Boss's with a 3/8 spacer?I see them on the website, but wanted to confirm before purchasing.I have seen other brands of ET lug nuts for Chevy/GMC trucks but they say they cannot be used on stock wheels.
@americanduramax but do they work with the stock rims? Im running the stocks rims and wanna do a ⅜ spacer with stock rims and extended thread lugnuts.
Andrew, the 1/4” spacers are smaller than 3/8” and aren’t large enough to have a hub centric lip built into them. Without this, the spacer will become off center and cause vibration
The 3/8" spacer would help clear the UCA but it wouldnt keep you from rubbing the frame at full lock when turning. that would require a 1.35" or larger spacer buddy
Cognito elite kit with kings installed. Truck is set dead flat. Bora 3/8”spacer up front. 37x12.50r20 Toyo MT’s on factory 20” wheels. Small lower front valance removed. Zip tied front liner forward on both sides. Zero rub back of fender. Only a small rub on full lock both sides from the Toyo sidewall lugs on Cognito UCA.
Do you happen to sell these bora lugs for my 1500 AT4 Sierra 6 lug? I’m adding 3/8” (10mm) bora hub centric spacers to my aftermarket wheel setup and would prefer this to get close to factory turns over adding new studs.
I do not have them listed on the site at the moment but I do have a few sets left that I can ship today for you, yes. They are full size adaptors like in the video so it can bolt on with all the turns. can you send me an email & I'll get you dialed in. Caught me at a good time as I am starting to ramp up my inventory of these ScovelMotorsports@gmail.com
Is there any difference in the amount of threads you get on attaching the spacer to the truck? Do you get more threads on factory studs with the 2in vs the 1 3/8. Kinda the same question but wasnt sure if i made sense. Thank you for your time!
Thanks Woody; I noticed a lot of turns on them but didn't measure that part in this video. It exceeds the 6 minimum rule by far but I didn't get that data unfortunately. I missed out on that.
Hey what's up I'm wondering if you still have the spacers on and if they are holding up. I have some 2.75 bora spacers, been sitting my shelf two years now😅 seen many vids where the tires go on there own way😢
I have a 2022 at4 2500hd. Running the stock wheels with a 3" lift and 37x12.50r20. Rubs the frame behind the front wheel but otherwise nothing. If i went with a 1.6" will i have to trim anything or will it get me frame clearance and still clear everything else? Or maybe 1.35"?
Our 1.35” would be perfect for you i believe. I THINK you got 0.5” wheel pockets so those would be ideal, however, i would recommend you measuring the wheel pockets 1st before purchasing them and checking them to make sure OEM studs dont hit the wheels when installed. Super easy to check too! The 1.35’s would be perfect for clearing the frame, uca etc but keeping it tucked in as much as possible
@americanduramax I'm good with a bit sticking out, just curious if I did that, would the wheels begin to hit anything? Even if I went with 2" would it hut the bumper or valance?
Honestly that's hard to say. I think if you are currently rubbing now then you definitely would be rubbing with 2" spacers. usually 37's take a little trimming no matter what. since these kits are adjustable by the torsion keys, it further complicates what fits and what doesnt fit @@douglparks
I cranked the torsion bars (leveled) my new 2500HD, ordered the 3/8 spacers for the front, hope it brings them out enough, front seems to narrow even stock.
